Reading skills are fundamental abilities that are essential in the learning process, especially for elementary school students. However, reading delays remain one of the main problems faced by 2nd-grade students at UPT SBF SD Negeri Panaikang III. This community service program aims to address reading delays through the utilization of visual media as a teaching aid. The program is implemented in stages, including problem identification, planning, activity execution, evaluation, and follow-up actions. Interventions are carried out using visual media, such as illustrated flashcards, posters, and picture storybooks, designed to enhance students' interest, motivation, and reading skills. Mentoring activities are conducted individually and in small groups, involving teachers and parents to support the learning process. Evaluations are conducted through direct observation, discussions with teachers, and interviews with students and parents. The program results indicate that the use of visual media significantly improves students' reading abilities. In conclusion, the utilization of visual media is effective in addressing reading delays among 2nd-grade students and provides positive impacts on their psychological and social aspects. It is recommended that this method be implemented sustainably and further developed to improve the quality of reading instruction at the elementary school level through collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents. Abstract

Mattiro Uleng Village, a coastal fishing community in Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency, holds abundant marine resources, yet its utilization remains limited to selling raw fish without further processing. This dependence on unprocessed fish sales has led to fluctuating family incomes, particularly for fishermen’s wives, who rely on their husbands’ catch. This community service program was designed to empower fishermen’s wives in Mattiro Uleng by enhancing their skills in producing value-added fish-based products, specifically fish meatballs, as a means of economic diversification and fostering independent entrepreneurship. The program implementation involved a combination of theoretical knowledge sessions, practical workshops on fish meatball processing, and training in both online and offline marketing strategies. A participatory approach was adopted to actively engage participants throughout the process. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in participants’ skills, with fish meatball-making competency increasing from 30% to 90%, and marketing knowledge rising from 10% to 75%. This program successfully equipped the participants with practical knowledge, boosted their confidence, and sparked motivation for initiating fish-based culinary enterprises.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed education and entrepreneurship. However, many young school entrepreneurs still face limitations in financial literacy, technological understanding, and the use of data to support business decision-making. These conditions create challenges in equipping them with adaptive and innovative entrepreneurial competencies in the digital era. This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of young prospective entrepreneurs through financial literacy training and the utilization of artificial intelligence. The implementation method consisted of three main stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation stage included initial observations, the development of training modules, and the design of evaluation instruments. The implementation stage involved financial literacy training and AI-based training, particularly in business simulation and data visualization. Evaluation was carried out using participant satisfaction surveys as well as pre-test and post-test assessments to measure improvements in knowledge and skills. The results indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding of financial literacy, business budgeting, AI concepts, and data visualization skills. Participant satisfaction surveys revealed that most participants expressed satisfaction and high appreciation for the training materials and delivery methods. This program successfully addressed the identified problems and contributed to preparing inclusive, adaptive, and competitive young entrepreneurs in the era of digital transformation.
