Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of figurative language style of the ability of students to appreciate the short story. This study was classified as experimental research. Research data obtained through test techniques. This study population was all students of class X SMA Hasanuddin of Gowa. Based on the analysis and discussion of the results of this study concluded that the results of the average score of the ability to appreciate the short story class X SMA Hasanuddin of Gowa without fiiguratif stylistic mastery on the posttest 13.2 in the low category with the thoroughness of the number of students 20%. The results of the average score of the ability to appreciate the short story class X SMA Hasanuddin of Gowa with mastery of figurative language style on the posttest 29.6 and higher are categorized by the number of students 85% completeness. Mastery of figurative language style effect in appreciating short stories high school Class X students Hasanuddin of Gowa. The role of mastery of this style of figurative language seems clearly based on the calculation of Paired Samples Test t-test which showed that as many as 9,752 t count > t table value of 2.09. This shows that the proposed research hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan pelaksanaan program PKM ini adalah: (a) Membentuk kelompok kerja guru(KKG), (b) meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan pendekatan IPTEK terapan, (c) melatih pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan pendekatan IPTEK terapan, (d) melatih dan mendampingi cara penggunaan media pembelajaran di kelas. Metodepelaksanaan kegiatan menggadopsi pola pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan meliputi empat tahap,yaitu: perencanaan program, pelaksanaan program, observasi dan evaluasi, dan refleksi. Hasil pelaksanaan program adalah (a) terbentuk 7 kelompok kerja guru dengan masing-masinganggota sebanyak 4 sampai 9 orang yang dibentuk berdasarkan lokasi daerah; (b) adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru tentang pembuatan media pembelajaran dengan pendekatan IPTEK terapan, dari kategori “cukup” menjadi “baik”; (c) dihasilkan media (alat peraga) untuk siswa SD,(d) kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran dalamdi kelas berkualitas “baik”.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data WHO bahwa kejadian stunting pada tahun 2017 sebesar 150,8 juta anak. WHO menyebutkan secara global sebanyak 22,9% atau 154,8 juta anak-anak balita mengalami stunting. Balita dengan masalah stunting di Desa Padende dari tahun 2017 sampai 2019 sebanyak 33 anak. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis kebiasaan makan dan hubungannya dengan kejadian stunting pada anak balita di Desa Padende Kecamatan Marawola. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan rancangan case control. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua balita di Desa Padende Kecamatan Marawola pada tahun 2019 sebanyak 139 balita. Jumlah sampel yaitu 33 pada setiap kelompok sampel dan total sampelnya 66 balita, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan makan dengan kejadian stunting pada anak balita di Desa Padende Kecamatan Marawola dengan p-value = 0,014. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan makan dengan kejadian stunting pada anak balita di Desa Padende Kecamatan Marawola.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning outcomes of speech through the method of Learning Community and the effectiveness of Learning Community method of Indonesian Language and Literature Education at High School of Teacher Training and Education Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang. The location of this research is located at the campus of Teachers Training and Education College Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang. The results showed that effective learning community was used in improving the speaking skill of STKIP Puangrimaggalatung Sengkang students. This is based on the results of data analysis showing that the average test results of students speaking skills that follow the learning in the class that apply learning community is higher than the results of students' speaking skills tests that follow the learning in the class that does not apply learning community. Abstract

Abstract

Literary ecology in the Bungo Fish legend discusses the relationship between humans and nature and vice versa. To create a balance, awareness is needed in managing, preserving and maintaining local wisdom, which is beginning to erode due to human unpreparedness in facing technological developments. The problems in literary works, especially the Bungo Fish legend originating from Sumpabaka in Wajo Regency, are based on several reasons. First, there is a relationship between living things and their environment experienced by the main character, namely Topanggalung and Bungo Fish. Second, the local colour is very thick in the legend of Bungo Fish, which is that the people who come from Sumpabaka do not consume Bungo Fish. Third, the problem of literary ecology in the Bungo Fish legend, if examined carefully, is social criticism of real life that does not pay attention to nature. This study discusses the reciprocal relationship between humans (characters) and nature based on literary ecology based on the problems above. This study describes the literary ecology related to the reciprocal relationship between humans and nature in the Bungo Fish legend. The method used in this research was a literature study that specifically examined the text on the Bungo Fish legend. The collected data analyzed by analytic descriptive and data analysis techniques. The results of research related to the reciprocal relationship between humans and nature include human responsibility towards nature, living in harmony with nature, being fair with nature, upholding democracy with nature, and moral integrity.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the forms of silence and slips of the tongue in speech production among students at the Faculty of Education, Puangrimaggalatung University. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. In this research, the data collection techniques used were observation, recording, recording and documentation techniques. The results of the research show that there are forms of silence and slips of the tongue in speech production in the discussion process of student groups at the Faculty of Education, Puangrimaggalatung University. The form of silence in speech production in student discussions at the Faculty of Education, Puangrimaggalatung University is divided into two parts, namely silent silence and filled silence. In this study, there were 22 types of speech which were silent silences and 25 speech types which were included in filled silences. Furthermore, the slip of the tongue form is divided into two, namely the slip of the tongue caused by incorrect semantic selection consisting of 12 utterances and the slip of the tongue due to the assembling of 27 utterances when producing utterances in student discussions at the Faculty of Education, Puangrimaggalatung University.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' literacy skills at Sekolah Pustaka Lontara through interactive literacy-based learning. The issue of low reading interest and literacy comprehension among students has prompted the need for more effective and enjoyable teaching methods. The interactive learning implemented includes activities such as group reading, group discussions, and educational games designed to stimulate interest and reading skills. The research uses a qualitative approach with techniques such as observation, interviews, and analysis of students' learning outcomes. The results show a significant improvement in students' literacy comprehension, reflected in literacy test results and student responses to reading activities. The use of interactive learning also encourages students to be more actively engaged and enjoy the learning process. This program demonstrates that an interactive approach can be an effective solution to enhancing literacy skills in schools facing challenges related to resources and student interest. The study recommends integrating interactive methods into the curriculum to achieve more optimal literacy outcomes. Abstrak Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa di Sekolah Pustaka Lontara melalui pembelajaran interaktif berbasis literasi. Permasalahan rendahnya minat baca dan pemahaman literasi di kalangan siswa memicu perlunya metode pengajaran yang lebih efektif dan menyenangkan. Pembelajaran interaktif yang diterapkan melibatkan kegiatan membaca bersama, diskusi kelompok, serta permainan edukatif yang dirancang untuk merangsang minat dan keterampilan membaca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan analisis hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman literasi siswa, yang tercermin dari hasil tes literasi dan respons siswa terhadap kegiatan membaca. Penggunaan pembelajaran interaktif juga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif berpartisipasi dan menikmati proses belajar. Program ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan interaktif dapat menjadi salah satu solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi di sekolah-sekolah yang masih menghadapi tantangan dalam hal sumber daya dan minat siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi metode interaktif dalam kurikulum untuk mencapai hasil literasi yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

Reading skills are fundamental abilities that are essential in the learning process, especially for elementary school students. However, reading delays remain one of the main problems faced by 2nd-grade students at UPT SBF SD Negeri Panaikang III. This community service program aims to address reading delays through the utilization of visual media as a teaching aid. The program is implemented in stages, including problem identification, planning, activity execution, evaluation, and follow-up actions. Interventions are carried out using visual media, such as illustrated flashcards, posters, and picture storybooks, designed to enhance students' interest, motivation, and reading skills. Mentoring activities are conducted individually and in small groups, involving teachers and parents to support the learning process. Evaluations are conducted through direct observation, discussions with teachers, and interviews with students and parents. The program results indicate that the use of visual media significantly improves students' reading abilities. In conclusion, the utilization of visual media is effective in addressing reading delays among 2nd-grade students and provides positive impacts on their psychological and social aspects. It is recommended that this method be implemented sustainably and further developed to improve the quality of reading instruction at the elementary school level through collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents. ABSTRAK Keterampilan membaca merupakan kemampuan dasar yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran, terutama bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Namun, keterlambatan membaca masih menjadi salah satu permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh siswa kelas 2 UPT SBF SD Negeri Panaikang III. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi keterlambatan membaca melalui pemanfaatan media gambar sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan program dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, penyusunan rencana, pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Intervensi dilakukan dengan menggunakan  media gambar, seperti kartu bergambar, poster, dan buku cerita bergambar, yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan minat, motivasi, dan kemampuan membaca siswa. Kegiatan pendampingan dilaksanakan secara individual maupun kelompok kecil, dengan melibatkan guru dan orang tua dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung, diskusi dengan guru, dan wawancara dengan siswa serta orang tua. Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa secara signifikan. Kesimpulannya, pemanfaatan media gambar efektif dalam mengatasi keterlambatan membaca siswa kelas 2, serta memberikan dampak positif terhadap aspek psikologis dan sosial siswa. Disarankan agar metode ini diterapkan secara berkelanjutan, serta dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran membaca di tingkat sekolah dasar, dengan sinergi antara sekolah, guru, dan orang tua.

Abstract

Literature as a representation of culture also records society's perspective on nature and the environment. This study aims to analyze local culture-based environmental protection in Indonesian novels. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with Koentjaraningrat's theory as the basis for analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation, reading, and recording. Data analysis included three stages data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that local culture based environmental protection in Indonesian novels is reflected through elements of customs, belief systems, sacred values, and religiosity. These findings emphasize that local wisdom values play an important role in environmental conservation, and local culture can serve as an alternative solution to ecological challenges in the modern era. Thus, literature not only functions as a means of artistic expression but also as an educational medium capable of fostering ecological awareness among the community through the cultural values passed down through generations. AbstrakSastra sebagai representasi budaya turut merekam cara pandang masyarakat terhadap alam dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proteksi lingkungan berbasis budaya lokal dalam novel Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teori Koentjaraningrat sebagai landasan analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, membaca, dan pencatatan. Analisis data mencakup tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proteksi lingkungan berbasis budaya lokal dalam novel Indonesia tercermin melalui unsur adat-istiadat, sistem kepercayaan, nilai-nilai keramat, dan religiusitas. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa nilai-nilai kearifan lokal memiliki peran penting dalam pelestarian lingkungan dan budaya lokal dapat menjadi solusi alternatif dalam menghadapi tantangan ekologis di era modern sehingga sastra tidak hanya berperan sebagai sarana ekspresi artistik, tetapi juga sebagai medium edukatif yang mampu membangun kesadaran ekologis masyarakat melalui nilai-nilai budaya yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun.
