Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality improvement management strategies implemented at State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 3 Palembang in order to improve competitiveness as an Islamic educational institution. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study explores the efforts made by the management of the madrasah in improving the quality of educational services, the performance of teaching staff, and student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that MAN 3 Palembang implements various quality improvement strategies, such as continuous teacher competency development, strengthening Islamic work culture, and implementing a data-based evaluation system. In addition, the synergy between the head of the madrasah, teachers, students, and parents is also an important factor in creating a superior and competitive learning environment. This quality improvement also has a direct impact on the positive image of the madrasah in the eyes of the community and strengthens its position in the competition between educational institutions in the Palembang area. This study confirms that planned and participatory quality management can be the main key in realizing an excellent and highly competitive Islamic educational institution

Abstract

Administrasi madrasah memegang peran penting dalam menunjang kelancaran dan efektivitas pelaksanaan pendidikan di tingkat dasar, termasuk dalam membangun tata kelola lembaga yang akuntabel dan profesional. Namun, pada praktiknya, masih banyak madrasah yang menghadapi tantangan dalam pengelolaan administrasi yang tertib, efisien, dan terstandarisasi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya sistem administrasi yang bermutu sebagai penunjang utama tercapainya mutu pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan strategi peningkatan mutu administrasi madrasah, serta menganalisis peran kepemimpinan dan kolaborasi dalam memperkuat tata kelola administrasi di MI Ikhlasiyah Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala madrasah, staf administrasi, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi peningkatan mutu administrasi dilakukan melalui perencanaan berbasis kebutuhan, penyusunan SOP, digitalisasi sistem kerja, penguatan kapasitas SDM, serta penerapan kepemimpinan yang transformatif dan kolaboratif. Seluruh elemen madrasah terlibat aktif dalam menciptakan sistem administrasi yang tertib, efisien, dan mendukung kinerja lembaga secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study explores strategic efforts to improve the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Hijriyah 2 Palembang through a holistic approach. The research employs a qualitative case study method to analyze various dimensions of educational development, including curriculum enhancement, teacher professional development, infrastructure improvement, technology integration, and stakeholder involvement. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires involving school leaders, teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that MI Hijriyah 2 has successfully implemented integrated strategies that contribute to students' academic achievement, character formation, and religious values. Despite facing several challenges such as limited resources and technological infrastructure, the school demonstrates resilience through collaborative planning and continuous evaluation. The study concludes with recommendations to strengthen teacher training, community engagement, and policy support to sustain educational quality in Islamic primary schools.
