Abstract

This study aims to examine the operational role of Income Audit staff in preparing Daily Revenue Reports (DRR) based on occupancy rates at Radisson Blu Bali Uluwatu Hotel. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Income Audit staff consistently perform key tasks, including verifying night audit records, calculating occupancy benchmarks, and preparing comprehensive audit packs. The Opera Property Management System (PMS) is used to streamline data entry and facilitate revenue classification. Interviews emphasize the strategic value of income auditing in supporting financial accuracy and managerial decision-making. However, challenges such as human error and system failures affect the reliability and timeliness of DRR preparation. Staff mitigate these risks through multi-layered review mechanisms and adaptive responses during operational disruptions, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study concludes that Income Audit staff play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and operational accountability in hotel finance. It recommends continuous training and the enhancement of digital infrastructure to improve audit quality and support effective revenue management. These findings contribute to the literature on internal control and performance measurement in the hospitality industry

Abstract

Manajemen Lost and Found memiliki peran penting dalam layanan housekeeping hotel karena berpengaruh langsung terhadap kepercayaan, kenyamanan, dan loyalitas tamu. Penanganan barang hilang yang efektif tidak hanya mencerminkan efisiensi operasional, tetapi juga profesionalisme dan integritas staf hotel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis prosedur penanganan Lost and Found serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh Departemen Housekeeping di Swiss-Belhotel Maleosan Manado. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prosedur Lost and Found telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) hotel. Prosesnya meliputi pelaporan barang temuan, pencatatan dalam logbook dan sistem komputer, pelabelan, serta penyimpanan di tempat khusus yang aman. Barang berharga seperti uang, paspor, dan perhiasan disimpan di brankas, sedangkan barang lainnya ditempatkan di lemari terkunci. Meskipun demikian, penelitian menemukan beberapa tantangan, di antaranya kurangnya komunikasi antar shift, tekanan waktu pada jam sibuk, serta tanggung jawab etis untuk menjaga kejujuran ketika menangani barang berharga. Faktor-faktor tersebut berpotensi memengaruhi konsistensi pelaporan dan efektivitas prosedur. Kesimpulannya, penanganan Lost and Found di Swiss-Belhotel Maleosan Manado telah sesuai dengan SOP, namun peningkatan koordinasi antar shift, pelatihan staf, dan pengawasan rutin sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keandalan layanan dan kepuasan tamu.
