Abstract

Background of Study: Internship programs are essential in connecting academic knowledge with real-world work experience. However, conventional monitoring systems used during internships often lack efficiency and transparency, especially in public institutions like BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Medan Kota. Aims and Scope of Paper: This study aims to design and implement a web-based monitoring system to evaluate the performance of internship students at BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Medan Kota. The system is expected to streamline documentation, reporting, and assessment processes during the internship period. Methods: A qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach was used. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with mentors and students, and documentation analysis. The system was developed using Laravel, Tailwind CSS, and MySQL, then tested on a limited group of users. Result: The results showed that the system improved performance tracking, enhanced documentation of student tasks, and facilitated real-time evaluations. Users reported high satisfaction with the system's usability and clarity. Automatic score recap features and digital proof uploads made evaluation more objective and structured. Conclusion: The web-based monitoring platform has positively impacted the supervision and evaluation process of intern students. It offers a scalable solution for internship performance evaluation and has the potential to be applied in similar organizational contexts with further system enhancements.

Abstract

Background of study: The digital transformation of public services in Indonesia has prompted institutions like BPJS Ketenagakerjaan to adopt technology-based platforms to enhance accessibility and efficiency. One such initiative is the Jamsostek Mobile (JMO) application, designed to provide participants with self-service access to essential features such as checking balances and submitting claims. The perceived ease of use of such platforms plays a critical role in determining user satisfaction and long-term engagement. Aims and scope of paper: This paper aims to analyze the influence of the perceived ease of use of the JMO application on user satisfaction and loyalty among BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants. The scope of the study is conceptual, focusing on the theoretical relationships between ease of use, satisfaction, and loyalty within the context of digital public services. Methods: This study employs a conceptual literature review method based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Data were sourced from peer-reviewed journals, reports, and previous research published between 2021 and 2025, using keywords such as “ease of use,” “user satisfaction,” “loyalty,” and “digital public services.” Result: The findings indicate that intuitive design, clear navigation, and accessible features significantly influence user satisfaction. In turn, satisfaction strongly contributes to user loyalty. However, external factors such as digital literacy, service responsiveness, and internet infrastructure also moderate these relationships. Conclusion: To ensure the sustainability of the JMO application, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan must continuously improve usability, technical infrastructure, and user support systems. Enhancing ease of use is essential not only for increasing satisfaction but also for fostering long-term user loyalty in digital public services.

Abstract

Background of Study : Digital transformation has reshaped public services in Indonesia, especially in social security. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan faces challenges like complex bureaucracy and limited access. The JMO app, launched in 2021, aims to address these issues by offering digital self-service features. Aims and Scope Paper : This study explores how digitalization improves public service access and satisfaction in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. The focus includes service expansion, optimization of JMO features, and evaluation of digital service outcomes for participants. Methods: A qualitative literature review method was used. A total of 20 sources published between 2022 and 2025 were analyzed. Thematic analysis helped identify key trends and challenges in the digital implementation of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan services. Result: The findings show that JMO improves service access, transparency, and user satisfaction. It streamlines claims processing and reduces dependency on in-person visits. However, digital gaps remain, including limited literacy and technical issues for some users. Conclusion: The JMO application demonstrates the potential of digital transformation in public services. While improvements are evident, success depends on inclusive design, ongoing infrastructure support, and user education to ensure equal access for all participants.
