Abstract

Indonesia faces significant challenges in maintaining environmental ethics amid rapid economic growth and urbanization. Environmental degradation, such as deforestation, water pollution, and poor waste management, reflects a widespread lack of ecological awareness. However, local wisdom offers an alternative approach to environmental sustainability. This study aims to describe the forms of environmental ethics embedded in the local wisdom of the Betawi community in the Betawi Cultural Village of Setu Babakan, South Jakarta. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the research explores cultural practices that support environmental preservation, including the use of home gardens, reverence for nature, and community-based waste management. The findings show that the Setu Babakan community applies ecological principles through traditions, customs, and active participation in environmental care. Moreover, synergy between the government, local communities, and the tourism sector contributes to developing an area that not only preserves Betawi culture but also maintains ecological balance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating local cultural values into environmental policy as a pathway toward sustainable development.

Abstract

The development of the creative economy has become the main focus for various cities seeking to achieve sustainable economic growth. The city of Bekasi, as one of the growth centers in Indonesia, is experiencing significant dynamics in the creative economy sector. This research aims to investigate the important role of the younger generation in encouraging the development of the creative economy in Bekasi City. The research results show that the young generation of Bekasi City has made a very significant contribution in a number of creative economic sectors, especially in the formation and development of start-up businesses. They create innovation and creativity that colors products and services, creating a unique identity that differentiates Bekasi City as a center for the creative economy. However, several significant challenges were identified, such as limited access to capital and funding, as well as shortages of certain knowledge and skills. This highlights the need for government and private sector support to create an environment that supports the growth of creative businesses and meets the needs of the younger generation. A number of strategic opportunities were also identified, including opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and the development of creative business networks. Government and private support can be optimized through policy incentives and regulatory facilitation that supports the growth of the creative economy sector. In conclusion, the younger generation plays an integral role in the development of the creative economy in Bekasi City. An action plan that focuses on solving challenges and exploiting opportunities can help create an environment that supports sustainable growth, have a positive impact on the local economy, and make Bekasi City a highly competitive center of innovation and creativity.

Abstract

Ruang terbuka hijau dengan vegetasi sebagai elemen dasarnya berperan secara ekologis dalam menyeimbangkan serta mendukung lingkungan perkotaan. Hal ini karena sumber keanekaragaman vegetasi di kota ada di dalam RTH yang memainkan peran krusial dalam konservasi keanekaragaman hayati untuk kota dengan jumlah penduduk yang tinggi. Maka dari itu dilakukannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di Kebun Raya Cibinong sebagai salah satu ruang terbuka hijau di Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi langsung dengan menggunakan analisis vegetasi di lapangan melalui pendekatan transek kuadrat plot bertingkat. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa total keseluruhan INP adalah 300 yang dapat dikategorikan tinggi. Indeks keanekaragaman jenis vegetasi pada Kebun Raya Cibinong tergolong sedang, yaitu berkisar antara 0,323-1,220. Untuk indeks kekayaan jenis menunjukkan bahwa kekayaan vegetasi tingkat pancang tergolong rendah dengan nilai 0,551 dan indeks kekayaan vegetasi tingkat pohon tergolong sedang dengan nilai 3,579. Indeks kemerataan jenis menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tingkat pancang tergolong rendah, pertumbuhan tingkat tiang tergolong sedang dan pertumbuhan tingkat pohon tergolong kedalam kategori tinggi. Untuk indeks dominansi vegetasi di Kebun Raya Cibinong menunjukkan bahwa tingkat dominansi disana tergolong rendah. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa dalam komunitas tersebut tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi secara signifikan.
