Abstract

Elderly-supporting technology is a continuously evolving field as new needs emerge and novel solutions are developed. This work addresses the challenge elderly individuals face in picking up objects from the floor, a task often painful or difficult for those with back pain. Currently, no such assistive system is available on the market. This study aimed to develop a crane claw-integrated walking stick that enables object retrieval without bending, enhancing mobility and reducing fall risks. By integrating the claw with the walking stick, the design eliminates the need for an additional tool. Three design concepts, using repurposed 3D printer parts, were evaluated for performance, simplicity, and cost, resulting in the selection of a cable winch mechanism. Stress and fatigue analyses using SolidWorks ensured safety; the claw assembly exhibited a maximum stress of 7.238×10⁶ Pa, a safety factor of 4.8, and a fatigue life of 691,507 cycles. The product was fabricated from PLA with 50% infill and a tri-hexagonal pattern. A mechatronics system—comprising an Arduino UNO, DC motor, H-Bridge L298N module, and sensors—enabled precise control of the claw mechanism. The final device promotes independence and mobility for elderly users, offering a practical, ergonomic, and user-friendly solution.

Abstract

The persistent rise in inflation has encouraged the millennial generation to seek alternative ways to preserve their wealth, with investment emerging as a popular option. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing investment interest among millennials through a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Articles were collected using the Publish or Perish 8 application from the Google Scholar database, yielding 321 articles published between 2019 and 2024. After applying inclusion criteria, 30 relevant articles were selected for in-depth review. The findings show that investment interest among millennials, particularly those aged 30 and below, has continued to increase. Most of the reviewed studies applied quantitative methods. Seven key factors were identified as influencing millennial investment interest: return and capital gain, investment literacy, investment motivation, minimum capital, capital market training, risk perception, and the influence of social media influencers. These findings highlight the importance of financial literacy and digital technology in enhancing young investors' awareness and participation. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing investment education programs tailored to the needs of the millennial generation.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam proses pembelajaran. Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat bantu, tetapi juga sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kualitas pembelajaran. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran teknologi dalam pembelajaran serta dampaknya terhadap aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi, seperti media digital, platform pembelajaran daring, dan aplikasi pendidikan, mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keterlibatan peserta didik, serta memudahkan akses terhadap sumber belajar. Namun demikian, penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran juga menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, kesiapan pendidik, dan kemampuan literasi digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perencanaan dan pengelolaan yang baik agar pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dapat berjalan secara optimal dan berkelanjutan. The development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to the field of education, particularly in the learning process. The use of technology in learning functions not only as a supporting tool but also as a means to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of learning. This article aims to examine the role of technology in learning and its impact on students’ learning activities. The method used is a literature review by analyzing various relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that the use of technology, such as digital media, online learning platforms, and educational applications, can enhance students’ learning motivation, engagement, and access to learning resources. However, the implementation of technology in learning also faces several challenges, including limited infrastructure, teachers’ readiness, and digital literacy skills. Therefore, proper planning and management are needed to ensure the optimal and sustainable use of technology in learning.
