Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata Institut Teknologi Garut pada tahun 2021 yang dilaksanakan pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ini lebih memfokuskan pada sosialisasi pencegahan Covid-19 dan Edukasi Pandemi untuk desa yang lebih sehat. Salah satu program yang dilakanakan adalah Webinar yang diselingi sosialisasi pencegahan Covid-19 yang di jadikan sebagai prosedur kesehatan yang diterapkan di indonesia dan khususnya oleh desa Mangkurakyat Kabupaten Garut. Pengetahuan pencegahan Covid-19 di desa Mangkurakyat masih minimnya informasi tentang gejala Covid dan banyaknya masyarakat yang kurang percaya akan ada Covid-19. Baik pengetahuannya tentang virus ini dan juga tepat guna pencegahan-pencegahan yang diterapkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan komunitas maya dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan desa yang lebih sehat masyarakat dalam pencegahan covid dan pemahaman teknologi informasi yang berguna di masyarakat desa Mangkurakyat sebagai tempat Kuliah Kerja Nyata. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahapan masukan, peyelesaian masalah, dan keluaran. Kegiatan dilaksanakan bersama pemerintah desa dan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman pencegahan dan teknologi informasi yang diajarkan guna membantu masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

The boarding house rental business is a type of business whose demand is increasing from year to year. However, amidst the large need for boarding houses in Indonesia, there are still problems experienced by both boarding house owners and seekers. Until now, searches for boarding houses still rely on information obtained through recommendations from friends or other parties. Then from the perspective of boarding house owners, they often find it difficult to promote their boarding house. Seeing these problems, there is a need for a boarding house search platform that can overcome user problems, one of which is by paying attention to the user experience side. This research aims to implement user experience on the kosthub platform. Kosthub is a boarding house rental platform that can help boarding house owners and seekers to connect and work together to find solutions to their needs. The kosthub platform designs from a user experience perspective to pay attention to its function and usefulness in overcoming the problems of potential users. The method of this research will use a design thinking approach with the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test with the help of usability testing. This research resulted in a display design that met the user-friendly criteria with a percentage of 85.5 percent for boarding house seekers and 93.5 percent for boarding house owners. The conclusion from this research is that the appearance of the kosthub meets the user-friendly criteria.
