Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Mathematics Nalaria Realistic (MNR) method on the mathematics learning outcomes of 3rd grade students of SD Bosowa Bina Insani. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method involving two class groups, namely the control class and the experimental class. The design of this research is pretest-posttest control group design. The sample used was 46 students, consisting of 23 students of class 3A as the control class, and 23 students of class 3C as the experimental class. Data collection in this study used a test instrument consisting of 12 HOTS description questions and documentation studies. The results in the study obtained through the t test using the independent sample t test formula are that there is a significant influence between the application of the MNR method on the mathematics learning outcomes of grade 3 students, especially on fraction material with the results of tcount < ttable with 2-tailed sig results of 0.000 < 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of the environment in the learning and preservation of the Serawai language, also known as ecolinguistics. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method is used in this research to describe the result of the interview and observation of the Serawai language. The subject of this research is a group of Serawai speakers who live in Bogor. The instrument of this research is the interview. Data analysis was conducted through five stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data grouping, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the user community still uses the Serawai language, but it is expected to experience a shift or even extinction. It is caused by the decreasing use of the Serawai language and the lack of Serawai language learning for children. Environmental factors also play an important role in the formation of Serawai language conversation, but the influence is limited. Children who live in a Serawai language environment tend to become bilingual or even multilingual because the learning environment is also multilingual. In addition, parents are also less serious about teaching the Serawai language; some even switch to other languages.
