Abstract

The growing popularity of glamping, an upscale form of camping that blends luxury with nature, has had a significant impact on tourism trends worldwide. This study investigates the influence of the glamping trend on tourists' re-visit intentions to Viovio Beach in Batam, Indonesia. By employing a word cloud diagram analysis of reviews from TripAdvisor, this research identifies key factors that shape visitor experiences and preferences. The findings reveal that Viovio Beach is generally well-regarded for its natural beauty and amenities, though certain areas, such as infrastructure and facility maintenance, could be improved. The study highlights the importance of continuing to enhance the beach’s positive attributes while addressing potential shortcomings to increase tourist satisfaction and revisit rates

Abstract

The growth of smart tourism, particularly through 360° virtual tour (VT360°) technology, presents an effective promotional strategy in the period following the COVID-19 pandemic. This approach is especially suitable for outdoor tourist destinations that seek to engage with a global audience. This research was specifically conducted to design and put into practice VT360° technology at Belalang Adventure in Batam. The main goals were to increase the availability of information for potential visitors and improve the location's appeal to foreign tourists, who often research destinations online before traveling. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, which included systematic stages of initial observation, capturing high-quality images with Google Street View, editing the photos with Adobe Lightroom, and building the final virtual tour on the Theasys platform. The outcome is a fully interactive virtual tour that highlights key points of interest, including the main entrance, the ticket counter, and various game areas, all of which can be conveniently accessed online from any device. This digital tool has proven to be an effective and low-cost method for tourism promotion. It also shows the considerable potential for small and medium-sized tourism businesses to use immersive technology to reach a wider market. Based on these findings, this study recommends forming collaborations with tour operators, local tour guides, and hotels to broaden the distribution of the virtual tour, making it a central part of a more extensive and combined promotional strategy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi moral dan pendidikan serta mencari tahu peranan Ice-Breaking dalam proses fokus dan minat belajar anak-anak di Panti Asuhan GAPPI Filadelfia. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan pemberian materi disambung dengan Ice-Breaking 1 dilanjutkan dengan pemberian hadiah, diakhiri dengan materi penutup. Tidak lupa peneliti juga mewawancarai anak-anak panti asuhan dengan maksud menanyakan perihal pemahaman materi yang dijelaskan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Ice-Breaking merupakan langkah efektif dalam proses pembelajaran anak-anak tersebut, anak-anak dapat lebih fokus, cepat tangkap akan materi yang telah diberikan, serta meningkatkan minat anak-anak untuk menyimak materi yang akan diberikan pasca Ice-Breaking.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDestinasi wisata Kampung Vietnam merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang ada di kota Batam. Kampung Vietnam menyimpan banyak cerita dan sejarah atas perjuangan rakyat Vietnam yang hidup dipengungsian pulau Galang. BP Batam selaku pengelola telah melakukan beberapa program peningkatan fasilitas untuk meningkatkan citra positif dan memberikan kenangan indah bagi wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Kampung Vietnam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel destination image dan memorable experience terhadap kepuasan dan niat wisatawan untuk berkunjung kembali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik pengolahan data dengan menggunakan SEM-PLS dan diolah dengan bantuan aplikasi smartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa destination image dan memoriable experience mempunyai hubungan langsung terhadap kepuasan wisatawan. Selain itu destination image dan memoriable experience memengaruhi niat wisatawan untuk berkunjung kembali ke destinasi wisata Kampung Vietnam yang dimediasi oleh variabel kepuasan wisatawan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi data kepada pengelola destinasi wisata untuk membuat kebijakan strategis agar dapat meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan ke Kampung Vietnam. Vietnam Village holds many stories and history of the Vietnamese people who lived in refugee camps on Galang Island. BP Batam as the manager has carried out several facility improvement programs to improve the positive image and provide memorable memories for tourists. This research aims to testing the relationship between destination image variables and memorable experiences on tourist satisfaction and intention to revisit. The type of research is quantitative with a total sample are 120 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data processing techniques using SEM-PLS and processed with the help of the smartPLS application. The results show that destination image and memorable experiences have a direct relationship to tourist satisfaction. In addition, destination image and memorable experiences influence tourists' intention to revisit the Vietnam Village tourist destination which is mediated by tourist satisfaction variables. The results of this study are expected to provide data contributions to tourist destination managers to create policy strategies in order to increase the number of tourist visits to Vietnam Village.Keywords: Destination image; Memoriable experience; Satisfaction and Intention to revisit.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of cultural tourism activities on the preservation of Chinese culture at the Boen Tek Bio Temple in Tangerang. This study is motivated by the growing role of cultural tourism as a means of preserving ethnic identity amid modernization and globalization. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through a questionnaire administered to 100 respondents, comprising tourists and local residents, using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, and simple linear regression. The results indicate that cultural tourism activities have a positive and significant influence on the preservation of Benteng Chinese culture. This suggests that the higher the level of engagement in cultural activities such as festivals and religious rituals, the higher the level of awareness, knowledge, and participation in cultural preservation. These findings reinforce the role of cultural tourism not only as an economic activity but also as a medium for strengthening social identity and cultural sustainability. This study contributes to the development of cultural tourism studies, particularly in the context of preserving the culture of ethnic minorities, and underscores the importance of sustainable tourism management grounded in cultural values.

Abstract

Pacu Jalur cultural tourism attracts wide public interest, particularly for its historical value and rich traditional heritage in Riau, Indonesia. In recent years, its appeal has increased through the circulation of visual content on social media platforms, especially TikTok. However, scholarly studies examining the influence of digital content on visit intention to cultural tourism destinations remain limited. This study addresses that gap by analyzing the relationship between perceived entertainment, destination image, and visit intention toward the Pacu Jalur festival. Utilizing a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS), data were collected from 167 respondents who had seen the TikTok trend related to Pacu Jalur. The results indicate that perceived entertainment significantly affects both destination image and visit intention. Furthermore, destination image plays a mediating role in the relationship between entertainment and visit intention. These findings demonstrate that user-generated, visually engaging, and culturally authentic content on social media can enhance destination perceptions and increase visit motivation, particularly among younger audiences. The study offers theoretical contributions in digital tourism and practical implications for cultural promotion strategies through social media in preserving intangible heritage.
