Abstract

Mergers and acquisitions have been the driving force of the world economy and have played an important role in the strategies of many companies. To create a healthy, strong, and competitive banking structure, several steps are needed to consolidate banking sector. To realize this vision, Financial Services Authority (OJK) encourages investors and the banking industry to consolidate, including through a merger, one of those is the Merger of BTPN and SMBCI. The purpose of this article is to examine legal aspects in the merger process and procedure as well as the main issues relating to the application of principles in the protection of employees and minority shareholders. The method used to address the problems in this article is normative legal research, which shows that the merger is a horizontal merger by applying the principles of fair dealing and appraisal rights and not forgetting to apply the principle of employee protection.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting financial distress in Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016–2020. The data used is sourced from the company's financial statements on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the sample has been selected based on predetermined criteria. The population in this study are all Manufacturing Companies in the Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016–2020 totaling 30 companies, with purposive sampling method, the sample received is 12 companies. From this research, it can be seen that sales growth and working capital turnover partially effect financial distress significantly. Institutional ownership and debt to equity ratio have an insignificant effect on financial distress. All variables have a significant effect on financial distress simultaneously.

Abstract

Elections in Indonesia are one of the concrete manifestations of Indonesia's democratic ideology, in which the people declare their sovereignty over the state and government. That way, people's participation in this election is quite significant as an indicator of the democratic process in Indonesia. Every year, new voters on the electoral voter list will increase. Those are what that is called as a first-time voter. Beginner voters are the ones who are voting or contributing to election activities for the first time. Therefore, it is necessary to find a way to provide insight and make them aware of the importance of their role in state activities. There's a way or method that can be done by carrying out political socialization with the theme of elections. With socialization, of course, it will have a significant effect or impact on these first-time voters.

Abstract

A company needs good business continuity to maximize all aspects of businessactivities, therefore a structured management governance is needed. A goodenterprise resource planning system will produce a clear flow of supply chainmanagement and create good human resource performance within the company.The existence of ERP system assistance makes it easy to obtain existing informationon a company in each division with the support of a large database so that companyoperations run smoothly, such as at PT Infineon Technologies Batam which hassurvived until now. This study uses qualitative analysis methods and is in the formof descriptive information, the data obtained will be related to the theory andanalysis of the company. The results of the study show that implementing an ERPsystem at PT Infineon Technologies Batam is very beneficial for companiesbecause it can reduce costs due to continuous integration and monitoring, as wellas another factor of implementing an ERP system at PT Infineon TechnologiesBatam is being able to adjust customer interests to obtain a more efficient level inmaximizing revenue results.Keywords: Customer, Enterprise, Enterprise resource planning, Human Resources,Management, Product, Supply Chain, Technology

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh disiplin kerja, beban kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Citra Niaga Remittance. Kelompok populasi yang menjadi fokus penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Citra Niaga Remittance yang berjumlah 113 orang. Penelitian ini melibatkan seluruh populasi untuk dijadikan sampel yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenih. Untuk melakukan analisis terhadap data yang terkumpul, digunakan metode regresi linier berganda. Langkah ini mencakup pengujian terhadap uji kualitas data, uji asumsi klasik, uji pengaruh, dan uji hipotesis yang telah diajukan. Hasil dari analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa disiplin kerja memiliki pengaruh sebesar 63,0% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Beban kerja memiliki pengaruh sebesar 23,5% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Stres kerja memiliki pengaruh sebesar 37,5% terhadap kinerja karyawan. Melalui pengujian koefisien determinasi (R2), ditemukan bahwa kombinasi dari disiplin kerja, beban kerja dan stres kerja mampu menjelaskan sekitar 62,0% variasi dalam kinerja karyawan. Selain itu, hasil uji t dan uji F menunjukkan bahwa disiplin kerja, beban kerja dan stres kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan secara parsial maupun secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Citra Niaga Remittance.

Abstract

Background: The literature on the prevention and management of venous thromboembolism (VTE) reveals significant advancements and ongoing challenges in clinical practice. A foundational article emphasizes the necessity for early recognition of VTE symptoms and timely intervention to prevent severe complications such as pulmonary embolism and post-thrombotic syndrome. Literature Review: The need for multifaceted strategies to improve compliance with VTE prevention protocols is underscored, particularly as many at-risk patients do not receive adequate prophylaxis. Specific at-risk populations, such as pregnant women, the elderly, and obese patients, face unique challenges in VTE prevention and management. The critique of suboptimal prophylactic measures in these groups emphasizes the urgent need for tailored risk assessment tools and adherence to clinical guidelines. Innovative approaches, such as the integration of clinical decision support systems, are explored as potential solutions to improve adherence to VTE prevention protocols. The complexities of managing VTE risk in clinical settings necessitate evidence-based strategies to enhance patient outcomes, particularly in light of declining hospital lengths of stay. Conclusion: In conclusion, the literature underscores the evolving understanding of VTE prevention and management, emphasizing the critical need for comprehensive strategies that address both clinical and systemic barriers to effective prophylaxis and treatment. Enhanced education, tailored risk assessments, and the integration of decision support systems are vital to improving adherence to established protocols and ultimately reducing VTE-related complications.

Abstract

The descriptions of the dynamics of political life in the economic framework are aimed at determining the relationship between the dynamics of political and economic life in Indonesia, to determine the impact of economic policies influenced by political dynamics on the growth and welfare of society. While the method used is library research. This library study method is carried out by collecting information from various sources online, such as books, journal articles, and research reports. Through this data collection, researchers can understand relevant theories and contexts related to the topic being studied. And the results achieved are in the context of the political and economic journey in Indonesia, the relationship between political policies and economic frameworks has proven to be very close and mutually influential, and high and quality economic growth is the main goal of a country, and political policies play an important role in achieving it. Various policies, such as fiscal, monetary, international trade, and inclusive financial policies, have proven effective in driving economic growth and improving public welfare.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology presents significant challenges and opportunities related to human rights (HAM). Although AI provides great benefits, such as increasing the accuracy of medical diagnoses and adapting educational curricula, its presence also raises serious concerns. Individual privacy is becoming a complex issue with the collection, analysis and use of personal data to guide AI decisions, which can threaten individual privacy and security rights. Additionally, the impact of AI's job replacement raises questions about the economic impact and human employment. Cybersecurity is becoming a serious threat with the misuse of AI by cybercriminals for more sophisticated attacks. In responding to these challenges, it is important to establish strong regulations and ethical guidelines that can protect human rights, reduce bias in algorithms, and ensure fairness in AI decisions. Investments in AI ethics research and increasing public awareness of the impact of this technology are crucial steps to direct AI development in a direction that respects and protects human values. With this holistic approach, it is hoped that we can optimize the benefits of AI technology while mitigating its risks to human rights.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan loneliness pada mahasiswa baru perantau di Universitas Prima Indonesia. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan loneliness mahasiswa baru perantau di Universitas Prima Indonesia. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 135 responden mahasiswa baru perantau Universitas Prima Indonesia menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi spearman’rho dengan bantuan SPSS versi 27 for windows. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara kesejahteraan psikologis dengan loneliness mahasiswa baru perantau di Universitas Prima Indonesia dengan koefisien korelasi spearman’rho sebesar -0,861 dengan sig 0,005. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan efektif yang diberikan variabel kesejahteraan psikologis terhadap loneliness adalah sebesar 80,1 persen, dan selebihnya 19,9 persen dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar penelitian.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the franchise business model used by Mixue Ice Cream & Tea company. This corporate case study also aims to highlight the significance of licenses in managing a global supply chain business. The study methodology used is a qualitative approach with supporting information from news, scientific publications, and other sources. According to the findings of the case study of the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea Company, it was made possible by the necessity of halal licensing and other variables that allowed for business expansion potential in the Middle East and Asia.
