Abstract

Background: The literature on community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) presents a multifaceted understanding of its prevalence, treatment, and the associated challenges that healthcare systems face globally. The foundational work emphasizes the persistent burden of CAP, with case fatality rates varying significantly between outpatients and hospitalized patients, indicating a critical need for improved treatment strategies and risk assessment. The limited pathogen detection rates in CAP cases complicate management and highlight the necessity for enhanced diagnostic approaches. Literature Review: Research has identified several risk factors that contribute to the incidence of CAP, particularly among older adults, smokers, and individuals with comorbidities. The treatment of CAP has also evolved, with recent literature advocating for shorter courses of antimicrobial therapy, which may be equally effective as longer regimens.  Furthermore, the identification of specific medications that may increase susceptibility to CAP underscores the need for ongoing research into the multifactorial nature of this condition. Emerging concerns regarding antibiotic resistance highlight the necessity for rapid diagnostic improvements and tailored treatment strategies. Conclusion: In conclusion, the literature collectively underscores the complexity of community-acquired pneumonia, revealing significant challenges related to its prevalence, treatment, and the importance of comprehensive management strategies. Continued research and adaptation of clinical practices are essential to address the evolving landscape of CAP effectively.

Abstract

The environment is a very important aspect of human life, which functions as the main source for fulfilling various needs. The environmental problems that occur frequently and are commonly encountered today are water pollution. One of the water sources that is currently very polluted is rivers. This study aims to analyze the factors and impacts of the pollution in the Ciliwung River, and determine the regulations that have been implemented to reduce this pollution. The research method used in writing this paper is the normative legal research method. In this study, the authors used primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. Primary legal materials, namely statutory regulations and official documents containing legal provisions, while secondary legal materials are materials that provide explanations related to primary legal materials. The results obtained in this study indicate that a few factors causing pollution of the river is the lack of awareness of local residents who still throw garbage into the river, as it has an impact on the water quality, public health, damage to the ecosystem around the river and impact on social and economic losses. The regulations that have been issued and implemented by the government to reduce pollution in the Ciliwung River, one of which is the Undang-Undang (UU) Nomor 18 Tahun 2008 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah regulating the waste management in Indonesia. So, the water pollution that occurs cannot be separated from irresponsible human actions or activities and to deal with this, the role of the government is needed to increase public awareness in dealing with this pollution.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of customer relationship management (CRM) in MSMEs Are Singkong Balado. Are Sakkong Balado is an MSME engaged in the production and sale of balado cassava snacks. The research was conducted using a qualitative method through direct observation and interviews with business owners. The analysis is conducted using a CRM framework that includes customer identification, customer differentiation, interaction with customers, and service personalization. The results of the research show that Are Singkong Balado has implemented several aspects of CRM in running its business. Customer identification is done by segmenting customers based on frequency and number of purchases. Loyal customers are given special treatment such as discounts and service priority. Interaction with customers is done through social media and messaging apps. Service personalization is realized by offering products based on customer preferences. However, the implementation of CRM at Are Singkong Balado is still not optimal. There is no structured customer data recording system, making it difficult to analyze customer behavior and needs. The use of technology for CRM is also still minimal. Therefore, Are Singkong Balado needs to develop a more comprehensive and integrated CRM strategy by utilizing relevant technology. With a better CRM, Are Cassava Balado can increase customer loyalty, maintain business growth, and stay ahead of the competition.

Abstract

This study investigates the increasing prevalence of human trafficking in Indonesia facilitated through social media platforms as a mechanism for recruiting illegal migrant workers, as illustrated by the Cibadak District Court Decision No. 92/Pid.Sus/2024/PN.Cbd. In this case, the defendant, Clara Emilia Yulianti, and her network recruited prospective migrant workers without official authorization by offering high-paying jobs abroad, thereby exposing significant gaps in state oversight and digital protection for prospective migrants. The objective of this study is to analyze the modus operandi of the illegal recruitment scheme in this case and to evaluate existing prevention policies to address the legal loopholes exploited by the perpetrators. Employing normative legal methods alongside legislative, conceptual, and case study approaches, the study finds that the perpetrators used social media to lure victims, collect fees, and engage in unlawful sheltering and deployment activities in violation of Article 2(1) of Law No. 21/2007 in conjunction with Law No. 18/2017. Preventive efforts should prioritize strengthening oversight of online recruitment through enhanced cooperation between the government and digital platforms to enable detection, verification, and removal of illegal recruitment content.
