Abstract

The Lorentz Force Practicum Tool (LoFoPaT) is a physics learning medium designed to visualize abstract concepts related to the direction of the Lorentz force. This study aims to describe the development of LoFoPaT and its effectiveness in constructing students’ understanding of Lorentz force concepts. The research employed a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). During the development stage, the tool was enhanced to generate a larger Lorentz force. Based on assessments by three experts using Mini-Facets Rasch 3.84.0 software, the results indicated that LoFoPaT is valid, though some revisions were suggested. In the dissemination stage, LoFoPaT was implemented with 20 high school students (11 females and 9 males) as research subjects. The Four-tier Instrument on Lorentz Force (FILOF) was used for pre- and post-test questions. The results demonstrated that LoFoPaT is effective in constructing students’ understanding of the Lorentz force at an intermediate level. In conclusion, LoFoPaT can be utilized as a physics learning medium in classrooms to enhance students’ conceptual understanding, particularly in visualizing the direction of the Lorentz force using the right-hand rule.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi semakin maju sehingga dunia pendidikan harus mengikuti adanya perkembangan tersebut, terutama dalam menunjang keterampilan abad-21 siswa salah satunya keterampilan problem-solving. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh WEBIMLAT terhadap keahlian guru fisika membuat media pembelajaran interaktif berorientasi keterampilan problem solving melalui Quizizz-web. Penelitian ini melibatkan total 27 guru fisika dari berbagai provinsi di Indonesia. Kegiatan WEBIMLAT ini terdiri dari beberapa tahap, yaitu Webinar, Pelatihan, Pendampingan dan Bimbingan. Guru-guru fisika sebagai peserta pelatihan menunjukkan bebapa capaian, yaitu: a) peserta mampu merancang media pembelajaran interaktif dengan memanfaatkan platform Quizizz-web untuk melatihkan keterampilan problem-solving siswa, b) peserta mampu membuat media presentasi berorientasi keterampilan problem-solving, dan c) peserta merasa memiliki pengetahuan terkait cara menyusun soal evaluasi yang memuat indikator physics problem-solving. Melalui kegiatan WEBIMLAT ini keahlian guru dalam membuat pembelajaran interaktif untuk melatih keterampilan problem-solving siswa mengalami peningkatan dan sangat berkembang.

Abstract

Learning evaluation in Islamic elementary schools often relies on conventional methods that are less engaging and do not fully encourage active student participation. Although several technology-based innovations have been introduced, they often require digital devices that are not always available in every school, which limits their use. Therefore, this study aims to develop Wayground Paper Mode as an innovative game-based learning evaluation tool for use in madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools). The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) as a research and development methods. The product was tested with 24 students aged 10–11 years (8 male and 16 female) at MI Plus Al-Fatimah Bojonegoro on the material of energy changes. The validation process involved analyzing test items and assessing media feasibility through the Facet Rasch Model to obtain objective data from expert judgment. In addition, student responses to the media were collected through questionnaires. The results show that Wayground Paper Mode has a high level of validity and received positive feedback from students. This innovation demonstrates that a game-based evaluation approach can create a more interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning experience in Islamic elementary school settings.
