Abstract

Sustainable agriculture currently faces many challenges, including the weak bargaining position of premium fruit farmers, limited direct market access, and a lack of innovative agricultural tourism innovation. On the other hand, the shift in public interest towards experience-based tourism and environmental issues has opened up new opportunities for integrating agrotourism with greenhouse-based practices. The purpose of this study is to investigate the strategy of strengthening premium fruit farmers by utilising the greenhouse-based fruit-picking tourism method, supported by digital technology and principles of the green economy. Quantitative descriptive methods were used to collect data in two locations, Kediri and Ponorogo, through observation, interviews, and statistical documentation. The number of tourist visitors, digital transactions, social media engagement, premium fruit sales volume, and garden harvest capacity, both before and after the program implementation, were the indicators analysed. All indicators have increased significantly, according to the research results. Tourists increased by 121.4% in Kediri and 94.4% in Ponorogo. These data show that the park-based tourism model not only increases the productivity and marketability of agricultural products but also creates a digital ecosystem that expands market access and strengthens farmer branding. The role of digital technology in this success story should inform the audience about its potential in the agricultural sector. Premium fruit sales volume increased by 68.6%, while audience engagement through social media increased by 246%, and garden harvest capacity increased by 84%. Therefore, this approach has proven effective in encouraging the transformation of farmers' roles into adaptive agro-digital entrepreneurs. This study recommends applying this model in other regions to foster inclusive and sustainable agriculture through the support of training, digital infrastructure, and multi-party cooperation.

Abstract

Structured and personalized career planning is a crucial need for Vocational High School students in the digital era, especially in preparing for the transition to higher education or the world of work. However, conventional career guidance services still face challenges in terms of reach, personalization, and effectiveness. This study aims to develop and implement a chatbot-based career journey system with a SMART-Method approach (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound) to improve the effectiveness of high school students' career planning. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and a mixed methods approach. The chatbot was developed using the Telegram platform and is equipped with key features such as an interest and talent assessment, a SMART-based career goal planning guide, major and profession recommendations, and progress achievement reminders. Implementation was carried out on 120 11th-grade students at SMK Al-. Evaluation results showed that 87% of students felt helped in developing more specific and realistic career plans, while 91% stated that the chatbot provided an interactive experience that encouraged self-reflection on personal potential and interests. From the perspective of guidance and counseling teachers, the chatbot was deemed effective as a tool for systematically and documented monitoring of student progress. The SMART approach in the chatbot system helped students develop measurable and relevant goals, while providing a deadline for achievement that encouraged them to act proactively. These findings indicate that the integration of chatbot-based digital technology with structured pedagogical principles can improve the quality of career guidance services in schools. This study recommends further development in the form of digital portfolio integration, career literacy training for teachers and students, and cross-sector collaboration to strengthen an adaptive and sustainable career planning ecosystem in secondary education settings.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), presents new opportunities for innovative learning methods in vocational Education. This study aims to utilise Generative AI in creating a green work environment simulation as a learning medium for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), with a focus on environmental and eco-friendly industries. This simulation is designed to provide an in-depth and interactive learning experience while strengthening students' competence in applying sustainability principles and green work practices in the industrial world. The research method employed is an experiment involving the development of a Generative AI-based simulation prototype that integrates elements of a green work environment, including waste management, energy efficiency, and the utilisation of renewable resources. The research participants were vocational program students who participated in Work-Integrated Learning (WIL). The evaluation was conducted by measuring the increase in understanding of the concept of green industry and the practical skills acquired through simulation. The study's results showed that the use of Generative AI-based simulation significantly increased students' learning motivation, theoretical understanding, and practical skills compared to conventional learning methods. In addition, this simulation also facilitates the development of soft skills, such as decision-making and problem-solving, in the context of green work. Thus, the use of Generative AI in green work environment simulations makes a positive contribution to improving the quality of environmentally friendly industry-based Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Programs in vocational Education institutions. This study offers recommendations for vocational Education institutions to adopt AI technology, supporting adaptive, innovative, and sustainable learning processes that produce a competent and environmentally conscious workforce.
