Abstract

Digital literacy media contains studies that are not only in the form of descriptions, but can be studied in visual or pictorial form to explain the material that is used as learning material, including local wisdom-based Diversity material in the Citizenship Education Subject. Education is a conscious and planned effort to form Indonesian people who are intelligent and have good character. Citizenship education is a vehicle for preparing the younger generation with sufficient provisions in the social life that is needed. The ability to think critically, be responsible, have democratic attitudes and actions are supporting media in the formation of national character. Therefore, lecturers are required to develop learning support by developing learning media as a means of making it easier to convey material so that students can learn material easily through learning media. This literature study aims to determine the development of digital literacy media on students' understanding of diversity in the subject of Citizenship Education. The purpose of this study was to find out the literature study on the development of digital literacy media on students' understanding of Diversity in the Citizenship Education subject. The research method used was literature study research which consisted of several sources such as primary and secondary sources. The results obtained from the research that has been done show that advances in technology are able to motivate students to be more active in learning and dig deeper into understanding information about learning. In addition, digital literacy media can have a positive impact on the development of student teaching and learning. However, there are also weaknesses that will result from digital literacy, namely the still weak interest in reading culture in the form of e-books for students because they are more interested in the application base.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenge of integrating local cultural values into education, especially in elementary schools, amidst the growing wave of globalization. Cultural preservation and increasing student literacy are two aspects that need to be considered in the teaching and learning process. Therefore, this study aims to develop a digital learning media in the form of a digital pop-up flipbook with cultural content that is valid and practical as an effort to literacy for elementary school students. The research method used is research and development with the ADDIE model, which includes needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques use interview techniques, assessment questionnaires, and observation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and quantitative analysis techniques. The results obtained from this study are learning media developed in the form of a pop-up flipbook containing the culture of Bangka Belitung which has been tested for media and material validity as well as media practicality. The results of the validity test through three media experts were 88% and the results of the material validity test were 94%. In addition, practicality tests have been carried out through teacher and student response assessments of 81%. Thus, developing digital learning media with cultural content functions as a learning aid and a means to strengthen cultural identity and student literacy.
