Abstract

Environmental conditions greatly influence the quality of life of humans and other living creatures, so it is necessary to pay attention to strong and consistent environmental protection and management conditions by all stakeholders. Various principles are used in environmental protection and management. One of these principles is culture and local wisdom. Local wisdom is noble values ??that apply in community life to, among other things, protect and manage the environment sustainably. Protection and management of the environment must also pay attention to the noble values ??that apply in the community's life system. One of the government's efforts to improve the community's economy is through strengthening cooperatives and increasing the competency of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Therefore, cooperatives as the mainstay of the Indonesian economy should be encouraged to continue to modernize so that they can have a maximum positive impact on people's lives.

Abstract

The environmental conditions significantly influence the quality of life for humans and other living beings, thus requiring attention to robust and consistent environmental protection and management conditions by all stakeholders. Various principles are utilized in environmental protection and management, and one of these principles is culture and local wisdom. Local wisdom comprises noble values applied in the community's way of life, including, among other things, sustainable protection and management of the environment. Protection and management of the environment must also consider the noble values prevailing in the community's way of life. The occurrence of a water crisis resulting from the reduction of water sources and the weakened conditions of living organisms is due to the insufficient attention to the rules of local wisdom. Various efforts have been made for soil and water conservation, both by the government and environmentalists. The management of water and soil resources is not only the responsibility of the government outlined in various written policies but also the responsibility of the local community evident in the knowledge and experience of the community in carrying out various water and soil management activities.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high vulnerability of elementary school students in rural areas to sexual harassment due to a lack of understanding of self-limitations, social norms, and low environmental control. Appropriate sexual education at an early age is considered a preventive strategy, but it remains a sensitive issue. Therefore, this study aims to test the effectiveness of the Game Based Learning (GBL) approach in improving students' anticipatory attitudes towards sexual harassment. The research method used is quantitative with a true experimental design of the pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 050740 Kwala Langkat who were divided into two groups: group A with GBL and group B with Story Based Learning. Data were collected through questionnaires and observations, then analyzed using independent sample t-tests and gain scores. The results showed that GBL had a significant effect on improving students' anticipatory attitudes with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05. The effectiveness test also showed an average gain score of 0.52, which is in the moderate category. These findings demonstrate that GBL is an effective, interactive, and enjoyable learning approach for equipping students with the skills to recognize and respond to potential sexual harassment. This study recommends further development of GBL with a variety of media and collaborative integration between schools and parents to optimize its impact.
