Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh Lembaga Seni Budaya Olahraga (LSBO) Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah (PDM) Surakarta sebagai upaya meningkatkan partisipasi warga Muhammadiyah dan masyarakat umum dalam aktivitas olahraga berbasis komunitas. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam perwasitan, kurang optimalnya publikasi kegiatan, serta terbatasnya kegiatan olahraga yang terstruktur dan berkesinambungan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan warga dalam bidang perwasitan olahraga, memperluas jangkauan informasi kegiatan LSBO melalui media sosial, memperkuat aktivitas olahraga komunitas, serta mendokumentasikan kegiatan dalam bentuk publikasi ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pendekatan partisipatif berbasis komunitas melalui pelatihan, pendampingan, pengelolaan media sosial, serta penyelenggaraan turnamen olahraga. Sasaran kegiatan berjumlah 250 peserta yang berasal dari warga Muhammadiyah dan masyarakat umum. Evaluasi dilakukan secara kuantitatif melalui tes sebelum dan pasca pelatihan, pencatatan frekuensi perkembangan program, serta jumlah keterlibatan peserta dalam kegiatan. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara dan diskusi kelompok terfokus.Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kapasitas peserta dalam perwasitan olahraga, peningkatan publikasi kegiatan melalui media sosial LSBO, terselenggaranya berbagai kegiatan olahraga komunitas, serta publikasi book chapter ber-ISBN. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif mampu meningkatkan keterampilan, partisipasi, dan jejaring sosial masyarakat melalui olahraga, serta dapat direplikasi sebagai model pengabdian berbasis komunitas yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis dan mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap model pembelajaran problembased learning pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama, khususnya pada siswa usia 13–15 tahun. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendekatan pembelajaran yang kontekstual, kolaboratif, dan terpusat pada siswa dalam mendukung keterlibatan dan pemahaman belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei, melibatkan 100 siswa yang telah mengikuti pembelajaran problem based learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran berbasis masalah memperoleh hasil analisis reliabilitas data pada kategori tinggi dengan nilai reliabilitas 0,8103. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, relevan, dan mendukung kerja sama antar siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah secara lebih luas di tingkat pendidikan menengah pertama serta pentingnya kompetensi guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan menggunakan pendekatan campuran agar diperoleh pemahaman lebih dalam mengenai pengalaman belajar siswa, serta memperluas cakupan wilayah untuk meningkatkan hasil generalisasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh antara pemahaman terhadap larangan mengonsumsi makanan haram dalam Islam dengan tingkat kesehatan jasmani siswa SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 75 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket tertutup berbasis skala Likert lima poin yang mencakup dua variabel utama: pemahaman terhadap larangan makanan haram dan tingkat kesehatan jasmani. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid (r > 0,227) dan reliabel (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,876 dan 0,842). Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor kesehatan jasmani sebesar 3,92 (kategori tinggi) dan pemahaman terhadap larangan makanan haram sebesar 4,11 (kategori sangat tinggi). Hasil uji korelasi Pearson menunjukkan nilai r = 0,614 dengan p = 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kedua variabel. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman ajaran Islam terkait konsumsi makanan halal berkontribusi terhadap pola hidup sehat dan peningkatan kebugaran jasmani siswa.

Abstract

Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning in elementary schools needs to be designed in an engaging and enjoyable way to increase students' interest in learning. Low student interest in PJOK learning remains a common problem, mainly when learning is carried out monotonously and lacks variety. This study aims to determine the impact of implementing traditional game-based PJOK learning on elementary school students' interest in learning. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects were 75 students in grades III, IV, and V of Muhammadiyah 1 Kartasura Elementary School. The research instrument was a questionnaire on PJOK learning interest compiled based on indicators of student interest, attention, feelings of pleasure, and active involvement. Treatment was given through traditional game-based PJOK learning for six meetings. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with a paired sample t-test. The results showed an increase in the average score of students' interest in learning after the implementation of traditional game-based PJOK learning compared to before the treatment. This finding indicates that traditional game-based PJOK learning has a positive effect on elementary school students' interest in learning. Thus, conventional game-based learning can be used as an alternative, innovative, and tailored learning strategy for physical education and health (PJOK) that addresses the needs and characteristics of students.

Abstract

The development of fundamental motor skills in early childhood is a crucial issue in the global discourse on physical literacy, as it serves as the foundation for long-term participation in physical activity. The limited empirical data from internationally standardized assessments in the Indonesian elementary school context necessitate a comprehensive mapping of motor development. This study aims to describe the profile of fundamental motor skills as the foundation for physical literacy in six-year-old children in six elementary schools within one urban village. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, involving 150 students who were assessed using the Test of Gross Motor Development–Second Edition (TGMD-2) to evaluate locomotor and manipulative skills. The results showed that the majority of children were in the good motor development category, with a predominance of locomotor skills and varying performance in manipulative skills. These findings confirm that the foundation of physical competence has been established since the beginning of elementary school and provide an empirical basis for developing an assessment-based physical education curriculum to support the ongoing development of physical literacy.

Abstract

Early childhood character development is a crucial focus in modern education because social changes and the learning environment shape children's moral values and social behavior. The school environment is viewed as a key factor in character formation through social interactions, the instilling of values, and the role models of teachers. This study aims to analyze the role of the school environment in early childhood character development within the context of religious-based elementary education. The study employed a quantitative, descriptive-correlational design with early elementary school students as participants. The research instrument used a teacher observation scale to assess character dimensions, including discipline, responsibility, empathy, cooperation, honesty, and independence. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and linear regression to identify the relationship between the quality of the school environment and student character development. The results indicate that a positive school environment contributes significantly to children's character development through a school culture that supports the instilling of moral values ​​and constructive social interactions. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening the school climate as a primary strategy in character education for early childhood.
