Abstract

Sulawesi has quite diverse marine biota with various kinds of habitats, one of which is members of the Echinodermata phylum. This research aims to determine the diversity of Echinoderms on the coast of Pakowa Bunta Village, Nuhon District, Banggai Regency. This research was conducted in October-December 2021. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive method. Perpendicular line transect sampling technique with a length of 60 meters. There are 1 transect line at each station and the distance between transects is 50 meters, perpendicular transect lines starting from the coastline of each transect line there are 4 plots consisting of 3 transect lines, and in one transect there are 4 plots with a size of 5x5 meters with a distance between plots of 10 meters. This sample collection was carried out once on each transect. Based on the results of data analysis from this research, it can be concluded that the diversity of echinoderms in Pakowa Bunta Village, Nuhon District, Banggai Regency is classified in the medium category with a value of 1.384. In each of them, station 1 has a diversity index of 1.0243 in the medium category, station 2 has a diversity index of 1.4368 in the medium category, and station 3 has a diversity index of 1.2845 in the medium category. This is because the ecosystem conditions in that place have begun to be disturbed.

Abstract

Abstract: Insect pests act as damage to plants, currently there is no research on insect pests in agrotourism areas. This study aims to determine the diversity index of insect pests found in the agrotourism area of ??Muhammadiyah University Luwuk, Lontos Village, East Luwuk District, Banggai Regency. Held in July 2022.The research method used is descriptive quantitative method. Research design of yellow trap trapping and handpicking. Installation of yellow trap traps on plants attacked by insect pests, namely passion fruit, cassava, papaya, pomegranate, guava, chili, banana, kale, purple shoot ornamental plants. The sampling technique was random sampling method. The data taken are types of insects that have the potential as pests in agro-tourism areas. Supporting data measured are environmental factors, air temperature, humidity, wind speed. Sample identification was carried out in the direct field and in the biology education laboratory, FKIP Muhammadiyah Luwuk University. The results showed the insect pest diversity index H'= 1.87, in the medium category. This means that the ecosystem in the stability of agro-tourism in species has reached a higher climax in a community, so that it can be a moderate ecosystem and affect environmental factors to maintain its life. The average temperature is 28.6 0C, the average humidity is 75.4%, the wind speed is 8.8 knots. The results obtained were 88 individuals belonging to 13 species.

Abstract

Abstract: Cocoa is biodiversity that must be preserved. In addition, cocoa is one of the main pillars of the plantation area which plays an important role in the community's economy. Meanwhile, insects are part of biodiversity with the ultimate goal of increasing cocoa productivity. Insects are organisms that harm plants, especially cocoa. The purpose of this research is to determine the types of insects found in the Cocoa Plantation of Kawalo Village, West Taliabu District, Taliabu Island Regency.  The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted in June-July 2022 By using a purposive sampling method or deliberately determining as many as 9 points with an area of 1 Ha with the sampling technique using the Yellow trap method. Based on the results of research from 9 traps conducted in Kawalo Village, Taliabu Barat District, Taliabu Island Regency, it found that 49 individuals from 11 insect species, including Amata aperta, Bactrocera dorsalis, Colletidae, Euagoras plagiatus, Herpetogramma licarsisalis, Megachile plut, Nisotra bicolorata, Oechopila smaragdina, Riptortus linearis, Sphaeroderma testaceum, Telostylinus lineolatus. Insect Diversity Index found results using the Shannon-Wienner Index, namely the variety of H' (1.78611) in the medium category. It's because the location of the Kawalo Village Cocoa Plantation is visited by the community almost every day, and those who visit the cocoa plantation often do pruning of the cocoa tree which causes disturbance to insect activity. On environmental factors obtained in the morning taken at 08.00 WITA with temperature (29.2), humidity (60%) in the afternoon taken at 17.00 WITA with temperature (30.00), humidity (61%).

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the types of araceae families in the Cup Waterfall Area, Banggai Regency, and make them into posters as a biology learning medium. The research period is from July – September 2024. Sampling was taken using roaming techniques and validation questionnaire instruments to determine the quality of the posters. Validation was given to material experts, design experts, and biology education students at Muhammadiyah University of Luwuk. Validation results are analyzed by calculating the average score (X), determining the score range (Ideal Mean and Ideal Standard Deviation) and Ideal Presentation. The results of the research found 15 species from 14 plant genera from the Araceae family in the Cup Waterfall area of ??Banggai district, namely Aglaonema simplex, Alocasia longiloba, Amorphophallus muelleri Blume., Caladium bicolor ‘spotted beauty’, Colocasia esculenta, Epipremnum falcifolium, Epipremnum pinnatum (L.), Homalomena expedita, Pothos scandens L., Rhaphidophora aurea, Schismatoglottis calyptrate, Scindapsus hederaceus, Scindapsus pictus, Spathiphyllum cannifolium, and Syngonium podophyllum. The validation results for poster feasibility based on the validator results were obtained respectively, namely the material expert validator showed the ideal category was valid with an ideal percentage of 72.92 (good), the validity by media design experts showed the ideal category was quite valid with an ideal percentage of 65 (good) and feasibility validation by students shows a valid ideal category with an ideal percentage of 83.09 (Very good).
