Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to analyze trends, issues, opportunities, and challenges in the utilization of educational technology to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SMA Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through training, group discussions, and interviews with teachers to gain insights into their readiness and practices in applying digital learning tools. The results revealed that teachers demonstrated strong enthusiasm and awareness of the importance of technology for enhancing project-based learning, collaboration, and independent learning in line with the philosophy of the Merdeka Curriculum. Teachers began integrating various platforms such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google Classroom, Canva, and Quizizz, and they also recognized the potential of advanced tools such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in increasing student engagement. Nevertheless, several issues arose, including limited digital literacy among teachers, unequal access to devices among students, and inadequate internet infrastructure. These challenges often hinder the optimal use of technology in classrooms. On the other hand, opportunities were identified in the form of teacher capacity building, interactive learning design, and increased student motivation through technology-based media. The findings of this program highlight that the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires continuous mentoring, collaborative practices among teachers, and strong institutional support in providing adequate facilities and digital infrastructure.

Abstract

At the elementary, secondary, and higher education levels, there are significant differences in the evaluation approaches required. In elementary schools, the evaluation approach typically focuses more on formative assessment to provide constructive feedback, thereby increasing student engagement and motivation to learn. This method is designed to provide educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement effective and relevant learning evaluations. This community service program significantly contributes to the understanding and practice of learning evaluation at the elementary, secondary, and higher education levels. With continued support in technology and innovative methods, it is hoped that the results will transform the culture of evaluation in schools and improve the overall quality of education. With increased evaluation knowledge and skills among educators, it is hoped that the overall quality of education will improve.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses transformasi keyakinan agama yang menjadi dasar dalam mewariskan keyakinan. Dalam konteks pendidikan saat ini, Keterampilan berpikir kritis menjadi sangat krusial bagi siswa, terutama saat mereka menghadapi tantangan di dunia nyata. Namun, pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran PPKn di SMAN 4 Garut masih belum optimal. Kondisi ini menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan mendesak untuk menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan dan merangsang keterampilan tersebut. Salah satu strategi yang disarankan adalah mengintegrasikan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan media video slide animasi, yang bertujuan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang dinamis dan menarik guna meningkatkan partisipasi siswa.Salah satu masalah utama dalam pendidikan abad ke-21 adalah kurangnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, teknologi disarankan. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan tersebut dalam menumbuhkan pemikiran kritis siswa. Menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Pre-Experimental, penelitian ini melibatkan 36 siswa kelas X-2 SMAN 4 Garut dan menerapkan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Hasil analisis melalui uji regresi linier sederhana menghasilkan persamaan Y = 35,397 + 2,498X, menunjukkan koefisien regresi positif, yang mengindikasikan bahwa variabel X berdampak positif terhadap Y. Ini mendukung bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan media video slide animasi efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa siswa di SMAN 4 Garut pada mata pelajaran PPKn meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka secara signifikan ketika slide video animasi digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Dengan memasukkan teknologi pendidikan ke dalam proses pembelajaran, diharapkan siswa menjadi lebih terlibat, aktif, dan termotivasi. Ini akan membuat mereka lebih siap untuk menghadapi tantangan di dunia nyata. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran dan memperkuat keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, penelitian ini menyarankan penggunaan teknik ini secara lebih luas.
