Abstract

The development of technology is directly proportional to the progress of education. It requires students to continue to improve their learning capacity, including using technology to support learning. The ability of students to use digital platforms is one of the skills students must have to be able to face the new era of the 21st century. This research aims to analyze prospective teacher students' digital literacy and its effect on independent learning ability to face 21st-century skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population is 84 active students. Data collection was carried out by conducting surveys and distributing questionnaires. Instruments used in digital literacy questionnaires and self-directed learning. Data analysis technique using simple linear regression analysis. This study found that the correlation between the variables was positive but included in the low category. Conversely, the indicators for each variable have a good score or value with the ability to use digital technology of 76.12% and an evaluation of 62.97%. It is concluded that the higher a person's digital literacy, the higher the strength of a person's independent learning ability. Learning to do self-management is significantly related to information literacy skills, namely analyzing information. Differences in independence result in differences in the ability to absorb the material and use technology appropriately.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of elementary schools in developing critical thinking and computational thinking skills as learning demands of the 21st century. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design carried out at SD Al Firdaus Surakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies of teachers and students of grade V. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that teachers have a good initial understanding of the essence of 21st century learning, even though the application of critical thinking and computational thinking is still implicit. The Unit of Inquiry (UOI)-based school curriculum allows for cross-subject integration through research-based projects and digital technologies. Students show positive initial readiness in critical and computational thinking, while schools have provided digital facilities. Nevertheless, optimizing the use of technology and strengthening teachers' pedagogic literacy is still needed so that 21st century learning can be carried out in a sustainable and measurable manner

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of educational games as an evaluation tool in science learning in elementary schools. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach, where data is obtained from various journals, articles, and relevant documents. The results showed that educational games such as Educandy, Wordwall, Kahoot, and Quizizz effectively increase student engagement, motivate learning, and support 21st century skills. Educational games make evaluation more engaging, provide instant feedback to teachers and help design optimal learning. Nonetheless, their implementation still faces challenges, such as lack of technological literacy, limited digital devices, and the need to adapt applications to the curriculum. This study concludes that educational games are effective and relevant evaluation media to support science learning in elementary schools. Further development is needed so that this technology can be optimally utilized in improving the quality of education in the digital era.
