Abstract

The Indonesian government has begun to explicitly implement a deep learning approach through four main frameworks, namely pedagogical practices, learning environments, learning partnerships, and digital utilization. However, limitations in teacher skills and infrastructure, particularly in terms of technology, pose challenges to its implementation. This study aims to describe the process by which teachers at the Community Learning Center (PKBM) in Cibeber Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency, develop learning media based on an automated system using a simulator (Wokwi) and practical applications assisted by Arduino IDE. The creation of this media is also supported by artificial intelligence monitoring tools such as ChatGPT. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was conducted through direct observation of 15 teachers from three PKBMs in Cibeber Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency. The research process focused on the development of a gas detection device by utilizing the four pillars of computational thinking: abstraction, decomposition, algorithmic thinking, and pattern recognition. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman qualitative data analysis method, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that teachers were able to follow all stages of tool development, achieving the following indicators: abstraction (70%), decomposition (85%), algorithmic thinking (78%), and pattern recognition (81%). Although most teachers come from non-science backgrounds and have no prior programming experience, they successfully designed gas detection tools (LPG, alcohol, smoke, and carbon monoxide) and adapted their experience to create a smart parking system project. This study demonstrates that the use of artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT, along with simulators and hands-on practice, can bridge the technical limitations of teachers. This supports teachers' creativity and ability to develop technology-based contextual learning materials in a more independent and innovative manner.

Abstract

In the digital era characterized by easy access to information, the ability to filter and understand valid information has become an essential skill in the 21st century. Information literacy, involving the ability to seek, evaluate, and effectively use information, also serves as a foundation in ensuring the halalness of products and services amidst the rapid flow of digital information. This study aims to analyze the level of halal information literacy among junior high school (SMP) students in West Bandung Regency based on the information literacy indicator model developed by the researcher. The research employs a mixed-method approach with a quantitative-qualitative design. Quantitative data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were gathered through open-ended questionnaires and processed by identifying response patterns. The sample comprised 30 junior high school students selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that students’ halal information literacy falls into the moderate category, with a relatively good understanding at the stage of recognizing halal information sources. However, weaknesses were found in their ability to evaluate and utilize halal information effectively. Qualitative data reveal that students demonstrate high interest in halal information literacy but face challenges in identifying the halalness of products due to limited access to information and insufficient in-depth knowledge. This study contributes by developing halal information literacy indicators that can serve as a reference for assessing and improving halal literacy among students. These findings also form the basis for designing more comprehensive halal literacy education strategies in schools.

Abstract

Guru seyogyanya memiliki kemampuan dan keterampilan mengkombinasikan aspek pedagogik, konten IPA dan keterampilan teknologi. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru IPA dalam penggunaan teknologi IoT, penyusunan perangkat bahan ajar berbasis STEM-IoT, refleksi selama PkM, dan memberikan rekomendasi kepada stakeholder MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) IPA dan KKM (Kelompok Kerja Madrasah). Aplikasi alat mengenai pendeteksi stunting. Desain Service Learning meliputi investigasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, refleksi, dan demonstrasi. Peserta berasal dari dua komunitas guru-guru IPA. Komunitas guru-guru IPA yang terdapat di dua kabupaten Jawa Barat berjumlah 37 orang. PkM menggunakan perangkat kegiatan diantaranya materi PkM mengenai STEM-IoT, panduan pembuatan modul ajar, perangkat IoT untuk mengukur ketinggian, dan aplikasi yang terhubung dengan perangkat IoT untuk menentukan status gizi seseorang. Instrumen PkM antara lain asesmen awal, asesmen kinerja terhadap produk modul ajar, dan angket refleksi. Analisis data menggunakan persentase berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Hasil PkM menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru mengalami peningkatan kemampuan penggunaan IoT. Kemampuan guru menyusun modul ajar berada pada tahap siap sebesar 61,11%; 27,78% tahap mahir dan 11,11% tahap berkembang. Guru-guru memperoleh tambahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Guru melakukan tindak lanjut dengan menerapkan alat pendeteksi stunting kepada siswa. Rekomendasi untuk stakeholder untuk lebih meningkatkan kemampuan penggunaan IoT dalam menyusun perangkat pembelajaran dan pembelajaran IPA serta menyebarluaskan produk modul ajar kepada anggota KKM dan MGMP IPA lainnya. Satuan Pendidikan memiliki peran memberikan edukasi mengenai stunting kepada peserta didik dan masyarakat.
