Abstract

Background: Anxiety disorders are major mental health problem in Indonesia. In addition, the prevalence of anemia in adolescents is still high. Research shows that low iron levels can increase the risk of mental disorders, including anxiety disorders. Many studies have linked anemia to depressive symptoms, but research on anxiety disorders has not been widely studied. Purpose: to analyze the relationship between anemia and anxiety disorders in female adolescents. Methods: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional design conducted in three distinguished public schools in Bekasi Regency. The number of samples was 173 female adolescents selected using purposive random sampling techniques with inclusion criteria of being willing to provide blood samples, female students aged 15-18 years, and residing in Bekasi Regency. The exclusion criteria included students who were on a diet and consuming antidepressant medications. Anemia status was measured by Quick Check HB and anxiety disorders were assessed using the Depression Anxiety Scale (DASS 42) questionnaire. Results: Anemia in female adolescents was found to be 31.2%. Anxiety disorders were found to be 78.6%. The Bivariate test showed that there was no relationship between anemia status and depressive disorders (p-value = 0,167). Conclusion: There is no relationship between anemia status and depressive disorders in adolescents. Abstrak Background: Gangguan kecemasan menjadi masalah kesehatan mental utama di Indonesia. Selain itu, prevalensi risiko gangguan mental, termasuk gangguan kecemasan. Banyak studi yang mengkaitkan anemia dengan gejala depresi akan tetapi penelitian dengan gangguan kecemasan masih belum banyak diteliti. Tujuan: untuk menganalisis hubungan status anemia dengan gangguan kecemasan pada remaja. Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional yang dilakukan di tiga sekolah unggulan di Kabupaten Bekasi. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 173 remaja putri yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling dengan kriteria inklusi bersedia diambil darahnya, berusia 15-18 tahun, dan berdomisili di Kabupaten Bekasi. Kriteria eksklusi mengonsumsi obat antidepresan dan sedang menjalani diet. Status anemia diukur Quick Check HB dan ganguan kecemasan dinilai mengguunakan kuesioner Depression Anxiety Scale (DASS 42). Hasil: Remaja putri anemia ditemukan sebesar 31,2%. Gangguan kecemasan ditemukan sebesar 78,6%. Uji bivariant menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan anatara status anemia dengan gangguan depresi (p-value = 0,167). Kesimpulan: Tidak ada hubungan antara status anemia dengan gangguan depresi pada remaja. Perlu adanya studi lanjutan untuk melihat hubungan antara anemia dengan kecemasan.

Abstract

Introduction: Food safety is an effort to prevent food contamination that threatens health. Foodborne disease remains a global issue, including in Indonesia, as seen in poisoning cases in Bekasi and Cikarang. Street food is still at risk of being unhygienic, as many vendors neglect hygiene due to limited information, capital, and guidance. Knowledge and attitude are important factors in maintaining personal hygiene. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between food safety knowledge and attitudes with the personal hygiene of street food vendors in Pasir Gombong Village. Methods: This study employed an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 50 street food vendors in Pasir Gombong Village. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the Chi-Square test was applied to examine variable relationships. Results and Discussion: The statistical test showed a p-value of 1.000 for the relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene, and 0.170 for the relationship between attitude and personal hygiene (p > 0.05). These results indicate no significant relationship. Conclusion: Most respondents were male, middle-aged, well-educated, experienced in trading, and had middle to high income, but had never attended food safety training. Although respondents generally had good knowledge, attitudes, and hygiene practices, statistical analysis showed no significant association between knowledge or attitudes and personal hygiene

Abstract

Salah satu Bahan tambahan pangan (BTP) yaitu pemanis buatan merupakan hal yang sangat penting diperhatikan terutama dalam penggunaanya pada pembuatan minuman yang akan dipasarkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengetahuan dan sikap terkait dengan penggunaan pemanis buatan pada pedagang minuman di Pasar Cikarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan pengambilan data menggunakan wawancara dengan kuesioner. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 60 pedagang minuman kaki lima. Variabel independen yaitu pengetahuan dan sikap pedagang minuman, variabel dependen yaitu penggunaan pemanis buatan, analisis yang digunakan yaitu chi square. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu mayoritas berusia dewasa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan memiliki pendidikan tinggi. Pengetahuan responden rata-rata cukup dan sikapnya cukup. Penggunaan pemanis buatan pada pedagang minuman ini lebih dari separuh tidak memakai pemanis buatan. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap dan pengetahuan pedagang minuman dengan penggunaan pemanis buatan (p-value 0,000). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini diperlukan pengetahuan yang baik tentang pemanis buatan agar pedagang minuman mempunyai sikap yang baik dan tahu bagaimana penggunaan pemanis buatan yang aman pada minuman yang akan dipasarkan.

Abstract

Background: Food Additives (BTP) are substances that are intentionally added to improve food quality without providing nutritional value, examples of BTP are artificial sweeteners and dyes such as cyclamate, metanil yellow, and rhodamin B which focus on identifying their content in food and beverages in Cikarang. The research was conducted in Cikarang, which is an area with high population density and rapid economic activity.Objectives: Analyzing the content of cyclamate, metanil yellow, and rhodamine B in food and beverages in Cikarang.Methods: The experimental research design used accidental sampling with a sample size of 20 for the cyclamate test, 15 for the rhodamine B and methanyl yellow tests. Sampling was tested directly with the Test Kit brand labstest for the cyclamate, metanil yellow, and rhodamine B tests carried out at the Integrated Chemistry Laboratory at Suherman Medika University. Data collection was carried out in April 2025. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, namely showing the percentage of food and beverage content containing artificial sweeteners cyclamate and dyes metanil yellow and rhodamine B.Results: The results of the study showed that of the 20 samples tested for cyclamate, 7 samples were positive (35%) indicated by the presence of white sediment in the sample, 15 samples tested for metanil yellow did not contain metanil yellow in the sample, and 15 samples tested for rhodamine B, 2 samples were positive (13,3%) indicated by a pink color change in the sample.Conclusion: The results of the study confirmed that there were indications of the content of artificial sweeteners cyclamate, and dyes metanil yellow, and rhodamin B in several samples of food and beverages sold in the Cikarang area.

Abstract

Abstrak Kabupaten Bekasi merupakan wilayah kawasan industri dengan pola hidup instan dan cepat saji yang dapat menjadi faktor risiko kejadian penyakit degeneratif. Apabila hal ini tidak diatasi dapat mengakibatkan penyakit kronis  seperti obesitas, diabetes, jantung, stroke. Oleh karena itu untuk mencegah kejadian permasalahan gizi maka perlu pemberian edukasi pada berbagai kalangan salah satunya adalah kader. Peran kader menjadi agen penggerak  dan penerus informasi yang paling dekat dengan masyarakat. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan edukasi tentang cemilan sehat menggunakan metode emotional demonstrasi pada kader dan memberikan ide olahan cemilan sehat. Metode kegiatan menggunakan emotional demonstrasi merupakan salah satu metode pemberian edukasi dengan penyajian yang menarik dan berperan aktif sehingga tidak bosan dalam penyampaian edukasi. Sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah Kader Posyandu di Wilayah Puskesmas Mekarmukti sebanyak 31 orang yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 29 Agustus 2025. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan tiga tahapan yaitu pertama pengumpulan dan pengkajian data, tahap kedua adalah pemberian edukasi menggunakan metode emotional demonstrasi dan tahap ketiga adalah demonstrasi cara pembuatan cemilan sehat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah kader antusias mengikuti kegiatan edukasi menggunakan metode emotional demonstrasi dan kegiatan demontrasi cemilan cehat berupa kue lumpur ubi ungu dan snack ubi ungu berjalan dengan lancar. Kegiatan edukasi dengan metode emotional demontrasi dapat menjadi alternatif pemberian edukasi bagi kader. Kata kunci:  edukasi; kader; cemilan sehat; emotional demonstrasi Abstract Bekasi Regency is an industrial area with an instant and fast food lifestyle that can be a risk factor for degenerative diseases. If this is not addressed, it can lead to chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease, stroke. Therefore, to prevent the occurrence of nutritional problems, it is necessary to provide education to various groups, one of which is cadres. The role of cadres is to be the driving agent and information forwarder closest to the community. The aim of this activity is to provide education about healthy snacks using the emotional demonstration method to cadres and provide ideas for healthy snack preparations. The method of activity using emotional demonstration is one method of providing education with an interesting presentation and playing an active role so that they do not get bored in delivering education. The target of this activity is Posyandu Cadres in the Mekarmukti Health Center Area as many as 31 people which was held on August 29, 2025. The implementation of the activity was carried out in three stages, namely the first data collection and review, the second stage was providing education using the emotional demonstration method and the third stage was a demonstration of how to make healthy snacks. The results of this activity showed that cadres enthusiastically participated in educational activities using the emotional demonstration method. The demonstration of healthy snacks, such as purple sweet potato mud cake and purple sweet potato snacks, went smoothly. Educational activities using the emotional demonstration method can be an alternative way to provide education for cadres. Keywords: education; cadres; healthy snacks; emotional demonstration

Abstract

Abstrak Meningkatnya konsumsi makanan dan minuman olahan yang mengandung Bahan Tambahan Pangan (BTP) seperti pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis di wilayah Puskesmas Mekarmukti menjadi masalah penting dalam upaya menjaga kesehatan masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu tentang kandungan pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis pada makanan dan minuman. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan tentang penggunaan pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis pada makanan dan minuman dengan menggunakan media leaflet, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik pengujian kandungan pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis pada makanan dan minuman, dan sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab untuk memperdalam pemahaman kader posyandu tentang topik yang dibahas. Sasaran pada kegiatan ini 34 kader posyandu Desa Pasir Gombong yang merupakan wilayah kerja Puskesmas Mekarmukti. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Aula Desa Pasir Gombong. Hasil kegiatan yaitu kader posyandu memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang bahaya pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis, kemudian dapat mengedukasi masyarakat tentang penggunaan pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis yang aman. Program PkM ini diharapkan dapat menjadi program pemberdayaan kader yang dapat mendukung meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat sekitar sehingga masyarakat Desa Pasir Gombong memiliki kesadaran yang lebih baik tentang bahaya pemanis buatan dan pewarna sintesis. Kata kunci: pemanis buatan; pewarna sintesis; kader; keamanan pangan. AbstractThe increasing consumption of processed foods and beverages containing Food Additives (BTP) such as artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes in the Mekarmukti Community Health Center area is a significant issue in efforts to maintain public health. The purpose of this community service (PkM) is to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres about the content of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes in food and beverages. The method used is counseling on the use of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes in food and beverages using leaflets, then continued with practical testing of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes in food and beverages, and a discussion and question and answer session to deepen the understanding of Posyandu cadres on the topic discussed. The target of this activity is 34 Posyandu cadres in Pasir Gombong Village which is the working area of Mekarmukti Community Health Center. This activity was carried out in the Pasir Gombong Village Hall. The results of the activity are that Posyandu cadres have good knowledge about the dangers of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes, then can educate the community about the safe use of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes. This PkM program is expected to be a cadre empowerment program that can support improving the health of the surrounding community so that the people of Pasir Gombong Village have a better awareness of the dangers of artificial sweeteners and synthetic dyes. Keywords: artificial sweeteners; synthetic colorants; cadres; food safety.

Abstract

AbstrakFenomena keracunan makanan masih banyak terjadi dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Pusat Krisis Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan RI, melaporkan kejadian keracunan pangan pada siswa SD di Klaten, Jawa Tengah pada 12 Januari 2024 dengan korban sebanyak 111 orang. Di Kabupaten Cianjur, dilaporkan terdapat tujuh kejadian keracunana massal selama bulan Januari hingga Oktober 2024 dengan total korban mencapai 384 orang, dan salah satunya meninggal dunia. Di Cilacap, sebanyak 157 orang dilaporkan mengalami keracunan makanan setelah makan nasi kotak dengan gejala pusing, mual, muntah dan diare. Di Kota Bogor, 93 warga menjadi korban dan 1 meninggal dunia diebabkan oleh keracunan makanan. Sementara di Kabupaten Bekasi sendiri dilaporkan 32 kasus keracunan makanan dan kasus diare sebanyak 20.111 orang pada tahun 2023. Di Puskesmas Mekarmukti, diare menempati posisi ke 8 laporan besar penyakit yang ada di masyarakar. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang keamanan pangan sangat diperlukan karena pengetahuan menjadi ujung tombak dalam berperilaku. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader mengenai keamanan pangan dan perubahan perilaku dalam memilih dan mengolah makanan secara sehat dan tepat sehingga dapat mencegah kejadaian foodborne desease. Metode yang digunakan yakni ceramah dan pemberian kuesioner pre-test dan post-test. Kata kunci: Edukasi; kader; keamanan pangan; pelatihan; pengetahuan. Abstract The phenomenon of food poisoning still occurs frequently in society. The Indonesian Ministry of Health's Health Crisis Center reported food poisoning among elementary school students in Klaten, Central Java, on January 12, 2024, with 111 victims. In Cianjur Regency, seven mass poisoning incidents were reported between January and October 2024, with a total of 384 victims, including one death. In Cilacap, 157 people reportedly suffered from food poisoning after eating boxed meals, with symptoms including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In Bogor City, 93 residents became victims and one died due to food poisoning. Meanwhile, in Bekasi Regency alone, 32 cases of food poisoning and 20,111 cases of diarrhea were reported in 2023. At the Mekarmukti Community Health Center, diarrhea ranked eighth among the major reported diseases in the community. Public awareness of food safety is crucial because it is the spearhead of behavior. The goal of this activity is to increase cadres' knowledge about food safety and change their behavior in selecting and preparing food healthily and appropriately to prevent foodborne diseases.
