Abstract

Pneumonia merupakan penyebab utama kematian pada balita di dunia dan salah satu penyakit berbasis lingkungan yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah permukiman padat dan kumuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kondisi lingkungan fisik rumah dan perilaku anggota keluarga dengan gejala pneumonia pada balita di RW 04 Kelurahan Ulujami, Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 63 balita dengan variabel yang diteliti meliputi luas ventilasi, pencahayaan, kelembapan, kepadatan hunian, kebiasaan merokok, dan kebiasaan penggunaan obat nyamuk bakar. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara serta dengan pengukuran langsung pada luas ventilasi, pencahayaan, dan kelembapan kemudian dianalisis dengan uji statistik Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara luas ventilasi, pencahayaan, kelembapan, kepadatan hunian, kebiasaan merokok, dan penggunaan obat nyamuk bakar dengan gejala pneumonia pada balita.

Abstract

Stunting is a failure to thrive due to chronic malnutrition, psycho-social stimulation, and exposure to repeated infections, especially in the first 1,000 days of life. Can be eliminated if growth from newborn to toddler is always monitored. Data from the Kebayoran Baru District Health Center as of December 31, 2018, there were 19% of infants did not weigh themselves regularly. The low participation of mothers in weighing their toddlers regularly every month at Posyandu is a problem in itself. It is necessary to examine and examine further personality, Locus of control, and mother's knowledge which will influence the behavior of the mother's responsibility to regularly weigh her child every month. This research is analytically descriptive with a total of 360 mothers who have toddlers in the working area of the Kebayoran Baru Health Center, data were collected using a questionnaire with the big five personality variables, Locus of control, and knowledge about stunting, data were processed using The analysis was performed with a statistical test using correlation test Pearson's. The results showed that education level 60% graduated from high school, 54.4% were aged 25-34 years, and 52.2% had high knowledge about stunting. The biggest personality type (187 people) is agreeableness, 83% have an Internal Locus of Control. There is a correlation between neuroticism personality type and responsible behavior for weighing toddlers (p=0.005) but there is no correlation between Locus of Control (p=0.067) and level of knowledge with responsible behavior for weighing toddlers (p=0.088).

Abstract

Traders and visitors of traditional have an effect on the condition of public toilet sanitation in the market. The condition of public toilet sanitation in Indonesia is inadequate, bacteria and microorganisms are still widely found, especially microorganisms that can and are accustomed to living in human skin. Toilet condition is not sanitary will facilitate the growth of bacteria, viruses, fungi such as Candida albicans. This study aims to determine the condition of public toilet sanitation and the presence of Candida albicans in a public toilet water reservoir in a traditional market in Bekasi City in 2017. This research is a descriptive cross sectional research. Sanitation conditions were carried out by observation and the presence of Candida Albicans was performed through laboratory analysis. The results showed that 2 of 4 traditional markets included in this study identified the existence of Candida Albicans. Sanitation conditions 1 of 4 traditional markets in Kota Bekasi indicate sanitary conditions that toilet condition is not sanitary. In addition, the behavior of officers in the public toilets in 2 of the 4 markets shows uncare conditions in the public toilet.
