Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the curriculum and its impact on physics learning at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. The research method used is a qualitative approach consisting of several stages: preparation, data collection, data analysis, and conclusion drawing. The data collection techniques employed include observation and interviews conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. The research subject is the physics teacher at the school. The results of this study show that SMA Negeri 2 Tondano has implemented a curriculum aligned with the national curriculum policy. Since the 2023/2024 academic year, all classes have adopted the Merdeka Curriculum, while previous cohorts were still using the 2013 Curriculum (K-13). In physics learning, teachers strive to integrate project-based approaches and simple experiments to enhance students’ conceptual understanding. In addition, innovations such as the use of PhET simulations and interactive digital media have begun to be implemented to help students visualize abstract physical phenomena. Both teachers and students perceive that the curriculum development has brought positive benefits to the learning process. However, teachers also face challenges such as limited laboratory equipment, varying levels of students’ technological proficiency, and the need for continuous professional development to adapt to the dynamic changes in the curriculum.

Abstract

A literature review of the magnetic mineral properties of river sediments using magnetic susceptibility parameters was conducted to assess their potential for pollution monitoring. This study analyzed 28 articles published in journals/proceedings related to the topic of magnetic susceptibility of river sediments. Based on the results of the literature review, the magnetic susceptibility values ​​of river sediments show a high range. This means that with such (high) susceptibility values, river sediments are ferrimagnetic. Information obtained from magnetic susceptibility data of river sediments indicates a high Fe content. We also describe that there are frequency-dependent magnetic susceptibility (χFD) values ​​of more than 2 % in river sediments containing superparamagnetic grains (fine grains). River sediments with high susceptibility values and high Fe content can indicate that the river has been polluted.

Abstract

Pembelajaran konsep gaya gesek pada bidang miring sering kali hanya disampaikan secara teoretis sehingga kurang memberikan pengalaman empiris kepada peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan alat praktikum koefisien gesekan digital pada bidang miring berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno menggunakan sensor inframerah FC-51. Alat ini mampu mengukur waktu, kecepatan, percepatan, dan menghitung nilai koefisien gesekan secara otomatis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan tiga tahap, yaitu perancangan, perangkaian, dan pengujian alat. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa alat dapat mengukur nilai koefisien gesekan dengan akurasi tinggi, yakni sebesar (96,98 ± 0,01)% hingga 100%. Hasil pengukuran juga menunjukkan hubungan linear yang kuat antara nilai luaran alat dan nilai teoritis, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,9986. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa alat yang dikembangkan dapat dijadikan sebagai media praktikum yang efektif dan relevan dalam pembelajaran fisika, khususnya dalam memahami gaya gesekan pada bidang miring.
