Abstract

Abstract:The concept of inspiring, communicative, and interesting learning based on verses of the Qur'an is expected to be able to foster children's joy in learning mathematics. This is literature research that analyzes and describes the design of a mathematical learning framework based on the perspective of the Qur'an. Research data sources consist of references or literature related to mathematics learning from the perspective of the Qur'an, mainly focused on algebraic concepts such as numbers, various numbers, and number operations. In addition, one expert in the interpretation of the Qur'an was involved as a source of data. Data analysis using content analysis techniques. The results showed that in the Qur'an, various mathematical concepts provide an overview of algebra, namely about numbers, various numbers, and number operations. In addition, there are also various learning activities, including the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages of learning activities.Abstrak:Konsep pembelajaran yang inspiratif, komunikatif dan menarik yang bersumberkan pada ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan rasa suka cita anak-anak terhadap pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pustaka yang menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan rancangan kerangka pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan perspektif Al-Qur’an. Sumber data penelitian terdiri dari referensi atau literatur-literatur terkait pembelajaran matematika dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an, terutama difokuskan pada konsep aljabar seperti bilangan, macam-macam bilangan, dan operasi bilangan. Selain itu, satu orang pakar tafsir Al-Qur’an dilibatkan sebagai sumber data. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di dalam Al-Qur’an terdapat berbagai konsep matematika dan secara jelas memberikan gambaran tentang aljabar yakni mengenai bilangan, macam-macam bilangan, dan operasi bilangan. Selain itu dijumpai juga berbagai kegiatan pembelajaran diantaranya tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

At the State Islamic Ministry College (PTKIN), one of the subjects or courses (MK) offered to undergraduate students is basic mathematics. This subject is taught in the first semester to give students the necessary knowledge, skills, or abilities to solve problems. Given the wide range of applications of mathematics, mathematics must be taught in a way connected with religion. The PTKIN document contrasts PTKIN and general universities, which includes this issue. This study aims to provide insights or opinions about the content of the primary mathematics curriculum based on the Al Quran. The author's primary sources for this bibliographic approach are the Al Quran, math articles with an Islamic context, and math publications based on the Al Quran. Other supplementary materials are from articles and math textbooks that are not contextualized within the Islamic framework. One of the various versions that may be utilized as teaching materials for lecturers in this MK is provided in student worksheets and handouts for statistics-related courses.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and effective Al-Qur'an-based mathematics learning design to be used as a choice of teaching materials for educators. The method used is the research and development method according to Borg and Gall, with the steps contained in this study: 1) Potential and Problems; 2) Data Collection; 3) Product Design; and 4) Product Validation and Trial. The study was conducted on three junior high schools with high, medium, and low levels. Each school was taken one class to be tested.  The results showed: This learning is different from ordinary mathematics learning, because it will increase understanding of the verses of the Qur'an that contain mathematical concepts. Based on the results of the product validation test (RPP, learning books, and LKPD) obtaining a percentage score above 76 and being included in the very feasible category, the product is valid. The student's response to the product gets a percentage score of ≥ 60, which is included in the positive category; the product can be said to be practical. While the effectiveness of learning is assessed from the activities of students with a very good category, namely the percentage value ≥ 90, and the learning outcomes of students individually and classically get good results, So it can be concluded that the learning design developed is effective to use.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran matematika berbasis Al-Qur'an yang valid dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai pilihan bahan ajar bagi tenaga pendidik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Borg and Gall, dengan langkah-langkah yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini: 1) Potensi dan Permasalahan; 2) Pengumpulan Data; 3) Desain Produk; dan 4) Validasi dan Uji Coba Produk. Penelitian dilakukan pada tiga sekolah menengah pertama dengan tingkat tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Setiap sekolah diambil satu kelas untuk diuji.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Pembelajaran ini berbeda dengan pembelajaran matematika biasa, karena akan meningkatkan pemahaman ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an yang memuat konsep-konsep matematika. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi produk (RPP, buku pembelajaran, dan LKPD) memperoleh skor persentase di atas 76 dan masuk dalam kategori sangat layak, produk tersebut valid. Respon siswa terhadap produk mendapatkan skor persentase ≥ 60, yang termasuk dalam kategori positif; Produk tersebut bisa dikatakan praktis. Sedangkan efektivitas pembelajaran dinilai dari aktivitas siswa dengan kategori sangat baik yaitu nilai persentase ≥ 90, dan hasil belajar siswa secara individu dan klasik mendapatkan hasil yang baik, Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif untuk digunakan.

Abstract

The concepts of statistics could be hard to understand by students without grasping the problem context. Using an easy-to-understand context or context that is close to the students in statistics learning materials could help students’ understanding of the statistical concept. This research and development study was conducted to develop an e-module based on statistical literacy for pre-service teachers learning statistics. The topics of e-module developed consisted of topics related to the introduction to statistics and data presentation while using some Islamic contexts and values that are close to the participants. The research was conducted in two stages: the developmental stage and the experimental stage. The developmental stage included problem analysis and literature studies, development of the initial e-module, validation and revision of the e-module. The experimental stage included testing the effectiveness of the e-module for 164 pre-service teachers from 7 study programs of IAIN Lhokseumawe, Aceh. The quantitative data from this experimental phase was analyzed using ANCOVA by controlling prior knowledge in statistics and digital literacy skills to evaluate the influence of the e-module on participants’ performance in statistics. The qualitative data of the interview transcripts was analyzed using content analysis. The statistical analysis results showed no significant difference in statistical performance between students using the e-module and students using conventional learning texts. However, from the interviews, we found that, in general, students acknowledged that the e-module used was interesting and that it facilitated their understanding of statistical concepts. However, they encountered obstacles when accessing the e-module due to the weak and unstable internet connection.
