Abstract

Argument Driven Inquiry-Based Students’ Worksheets on the Topics of Free Fall Movement to Improve Students' Curiosity. This research is to determine validity, effectiveness, and practicality of an Argument-Driven Inquiry-based students’ worksheets development in an effort to increase students' curiosity. Development method used is 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Development stage is carried out by developing and perfecting students’ worksheets products that can be applied in classroom learning. This stage validation was carried out by three validators consisting of 3 science teachers with results of each validator being valid and very valid. Practicality students’ worksheets was obtained from the score of response questionnaire and observation. The response questionnaire, a score of 90.72% was obtained, while from observation, a score of 90% was obtained. From the average results obtained a score 90.36% which is categorized as very practical. Based on this, it can be concluded that development Argument-Driven Inquiry-based free fall motion worksheets for learning obtains valid, effective, and practical categories in increasing student’s curiosity about Newton's law free fall. Keywords: students’ worksheets, argument driven inquiry, curiosity. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v13.i3.202341

Abstract

The existence of mobile devices and advances in technology has made mobile learning one of the learning trends in schools ranging from elementary to high school and even college in Indonesia. This content analysis research aims to systematically analyze trends in the development of mobile learning in Indonesia based on analysis of articles found in international and national journals. Based on the search results obtained 61 articles. Article analysis uses the Paper Classification Form (PCF) instrument which has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the analysis, the most widely used research method for mobile learning is Quasi-Experiment (44%) by testing the results of Research and Development (82%) of mobile learning products. Most mobile learning is for high school students (57%). Android Mobile Learning Apps (52%) are the most widely used mobile learning products in research. Learning outcomes (19%) are the most dominant bond variables related to mobile learning. This result can be used as a reference for research on the development of mobile learning media using the Android platform in science learning in schools.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a science e-book with material on the respiratory system using the PjBL model which can be used to improve students' creative thinking skills. This is a R&D using Borg and Gall research design. This research uses a one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects were 31 students in grade 8C of SMP Negeri 5 Depok Yogyakarta. Level of product suitability show that in terms of content suitability, presentation suitability and language suitability, as well as the characteristics of PjBL e-books, the average value is 3.25 in the very good category. Graphic aspects as well as technical quality and usability aspects received an average score of 3.40 in the very good category, meaning this e-book can be used in learning at school. Furthermore, the average product practicality level results for students were 90.10% in the very practical category. The research results show that the PjBL model science e-book can improve students' creative thinking skills with a normalized gain test of 0.7 in the high category. Therefore, the e-book with material on the respiratory system that has been developed can facilitate the application of the PjBL model and improve students' creative thinking skills.
