<![CDATA[ABSTRACT The incidence of hypertension in the world increased from 650 million in 1990 to 1.3 billion adults in 2019. The incidence of hypertension in Indonesia is also very high and only a few receive treatment. Efforts are needed so that hypertension can be managed properly, one of which is through health education. To determine the effect of health education on reducing blood pressure in hypertension sufferers at the UPTD Kotabaru Health Center, Karawang district. This research is experimental research with the research design being one group pre test-post test design. Data analysis used the T paired test and the Wilcoxon statistical test. The mean systole value before the health education activity was 150. Meanwhile the mean systole value after the health education was 128. The mean diastole value before the health education was 92 while the mean diastole value after the education was 82. The results of the T paired test and the Wilcoxon statistical test showed that the P value was <0.05, which means that there was an effect of health education on reducing blood pressure in hypertension sufferers at the UPTD Kotabaru Health Center, Karawang district. There is health education to reduce blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. It is hoped that hypertension sufferers will continue to carry out routine control and treatment and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Keywords: Health Education, Hypertension. ABSTRAK Angka kejadian Hipertensi di dunia meningkat dari 650 juta pada tahun 1990 menjadi 1,3 miliar orang dewasa pada tahun 2019. Kejadian Hipertensi di Indonesia juga sangat tinggi dan hanya sedikit yang melakukan pengobatan. Perlu upaya agar hipertensi dapat ditanggulangi dengan benar salah satunya dengan edukasi kesehatan. Mengetahui pengaruh edukasi kesehatan terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di UPTD Puskesmas Kotabaru kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian ini adalah one group pre test- post test design. Analisis data menggunakan uji T paired test dan uji statistik Wilcoxon. Nilai mean sistole sebelum kegiatan edukasi kesehatan sebesar 150 Sedangkan nilai mean sistole setelah edukasi kesehatan sebesar 128. Mean diastole sebelum edukasi kesehatan sebesar 92 sedangkan nilai mean diastole setelah edukasi sebesar 82. Hasil Uji T paired test dan uji statistik Wilcoxon diperoleh nilai Pvalue <0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh edukasi kesehatan terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi di UPTD Puskesmas Kotabaru kabupaten Karawang. Ada edukasi kesehatan terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi.Diharapkan penderita hipertensi terus melakukan kontro rutin dan pengobatan serta menerapkan pola hidup sehat.
