Abstract

Niyoghurt is yoghurt made from coconut milk. Coconut milk has a creamier, softer texture, and provides a distinctive taste compared to cow’s milk. Guava leaf contain a flavonoid compound, quercetin, which is antibacterial. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of the addition of guava leaf extract (Psidium guajava L.) to coconut milk yoghurt (niyoghurt) as a functional food. This study aimed to identify the water content, ash content, fat content, protein content, pH, total lactic acid, antioxidant activities, and hedonic color, flavor, taste, and texture from two types guava leaves (guava leaf and crystal guava leaf) and different concentration of extract (3%, 4%, and 5%). The results of the study showed that types of guava leaves had very significantly effects (P<0.01) on protein content, total lactic acid, hedonic color, texture and taste. The concentration of guava leaf extract had a very significantly effect (P<0.01) on fat content, protein content, total lactic acid, antioxidants, hedonic color, aroma, texture and taste, but did not have a significantly effect (P>0.05) on water content and ash content. The interaction between the type and concentration of guava leaf extract had a very significantly effect (P<0.01) on the hedonic color, texture, aroma and taste.

Abstract

Banjir yang terjadi secara berulang di Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, khususnya di Desa Simpang Lhee, Kecamatan Manyak Payed, tidak hanya menimbulkan kerusakan infrastruktur, tetapi juga berdampak pada ketahanan pangan dan kesehatan masyarakat, terutama anak-anak. Kondisi pascabanjir sering menyebabkan menurunnya ketersediaan pangan, buruknya sanitasi, serta meningkatnya risiko penyakit infeksi yang dapat memperburuk status gizi balita. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mencegah penurunan status gizi anak pascabanjir melalui intervensi pemberian makanan bergizi serta edukasi gizi kepada orang tua. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan aksi partisipatif dengan melibatkan tim pengabdian, kader Posyandu, dan perangkat desa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 28 Februari 2026 di Desa Simpang Lhee dengan sasaran anak-anak yang terdampak banjir. Intervensi dilakukan melalui penyusunan dan distribusi 100 paket bubur bergizi berbahan dasar beras lokal yang diperkaya dengan protein hewani dan sayuran, serta pemberian air minum kemasan. Selain itu, dilakukan edukasi singkat mengenai pola asuh gizi darurat dan pembagian leaflet panduan gizi kepada para ibu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian makanan bergizi disertai edukasi kepada ibu dapat membantu mencegah penurunan status gizi anak dengan cara meningkatkan kesadaran ibu dari skor rata-rata 3,7 menjadi skor rata-rata 7,6 mengenai pentingnya pemenuhan gizi seimbang pada masa pemulihan pascabencana. Dengan demikian, intervensi gizi berbasis komunitas ini berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan keluarga dan mencegah risiko gizi kurang maupun stunting pada anak di wilayah rawan bencana.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimum dosage of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) fertilizers to support the growth of Bitter Gourd (Momordica charantia L.). The experiment was conducted using a single-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of fertilizer dosage levels at 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75% of the recommended doses (equivalent to 5 g Urea, 4 g SP-36, and 4 g KCl per plant). Observations were made on plant height at 1 and 2 weeks after planting (WAP), number of leaves at 1 and 2 WAP, as well as fresh weight and dry weight. The results indicated that variations in N, P, and K fertilizers dosages significantly influenced all growth parameters. Generally, the treatment at 25% of the recommended dose showed the best results compared to other treatments. Quadratic regression analysis revealed that the optimum dosages for plant height at 1 WAP and 2 WAP were 25.71% (R² = 0.64) and 19.70% (R² = 0.53) of the recommended dose, respectively. The optimum dosage for number of leaves at 2 WAP was 15% (R² = 0.50), while the optimum dosages for fresh weight and dry weight were 8.5% (R² = 0.56) dan 10.38% (R² = 0.55) respectively.

Abstract

Bencana banjir yang melanda Gampong Simpang Lhee, Kecamatan Manyak Payed, telah menyebabkan gangguan signifikan pada proses belajar mengajar. Selain kerusakan infrastruktur, banyak siswa kehilangan peralatan sekolah mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memitigasi dampak pendidikan pasca-bencana melalui dua pendekatan utama: penyaluran paket peralatan belajar darurat dan edukasi mitigasi aset pendidikan bagi keluarga siswa. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei dampak, koordinasi dengan perangkat desa, serta pendistribusian langsung paket bantuan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penyaluran paket belajar mampu memulihkan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 85% berdasarkan observasi lapangan. Selain itu, workshop mitigasi memberikan pemahaman baru bagi orang tua mengenai cara mengamankan dokumen dan peralatan pendidikan saat peringatan dini banjir diterima. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model penanganan pendidikan darurat yang responsif di wilayah rawan bencana Aceh Tamiang.
