The purpose of this research was to analyze the application of educational technology and innovation in Islamic education planning in the digital era. This study used literature research methods and qualitative descriptive approaches to explore various literature related to the concept of educational technology, curriculum innovation, collaborative learning models, planning of technology-based facilities and infrastructure. The findings of the study show that the use of technologies such as blended learning, immersive learning (VR/AR), and the integration of digital literacy into the Islamic education curriculum can increase the effectiveness, interactivity, and relevance of learning to the needs of the 21st century. In addition, innovation in human resource development and education budget management is the key to further application of technology in Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

The prevalence of bullying among students poses a particular challenge for educators in Islamic boarding schools in preventing bullying through educational strategies based on Islamic values with an educational psychology approach. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic values and educational psychology principles in efforts to prevent bullying in Islamic boarding schools. Through a literature review of 12 recent national and international studies, it was found that effective bullying prevention efforts require a comprehensive approach, not only oriented towards discipline, but also towards character building and the emotional health of students. Islamic values such as tauhid, akhlak, and ihsan serve as moral and spiritual foundations, while educational psychology theories—including emotion regulation, social learning, and moral development—provide a practical framework for understanding and guiding students’ behavior. The results of the study show that teachers in Islamic boarding schools have a strategic role as holistic murabbi who serve as spiritual role models, emotional counselors, and social facilitators. Recommended strategies include enriching the character curriculum based on empathy and conflict resolution, implementing a whole-school and whole-boarding approach, and training teachers in Islamic value-based psychopedagogical interventions. This integrative model is believed to be capable of forming a supportive and empathetic pesantren culture, while reducing the risk of bullying behavior among santri.

Abstract

Abstract

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol to investigate the transformative role of female transformational leadership in improving educational quality within Islamic educational institutions, particularly pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). Unlike previous studies that predominantly examine general leadership models, this review uniquely integrates gender perspectives with the four dimensions of transformational leadership idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration—within the pesantren context. A total of five peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2023 were systematically analyzed. The findings reveal that female leaders demonstrate distinctive transformational behaviors that enhance teacher motivation, professional engagement, and collaborative culture. Idealized influence and inspirational motivation emerge as strong predictors of teacher commitment, whereas intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration significantly contribute to sustained professional growth. The study offers a novel theoretical contribution by positioning female leadership as a catalyst for organizational change in pesantren and provides practical implications for developing leadership training programs that strengthen transformational competencies and institutional support for women leaders in Islamic education. These insights underscore the importance of empowering female leadership to cultivate an inclusive, trust-based, and progressive educational environment.
