Abstract

Learning to read in junior high school is one of the language skills that plays an important role. Reading skill is the third skill that is mastered by students in having a role in language skills and mastery of other subject matter. This study aims to determine students' speed-reading ability. This research used descriptive quantitative method. The population of this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 35 Makassar with a total of 288 students. The sample is 36 students. The sampling technique is a side random technique. Data obtained were analyzed using the percentage technique. The results of the data analysis showed that from 36 students as respondents, only 20 students (55.55%) managed to score above 75. This shows that the speed-reading ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 35 Makassar is still poor because it is still under of the standard, which is at least 85% of all respondents. Therefore, it is recommended that students and teachers be more active and that the learning support facilities are improved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kontribusi peran pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku sosial anak usia dini di taman kanak-kanak Kabupaten Paniai Papua dan mendeskripsikan bimbingan guru terhadap perilaku sosial anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak Kabupaten Paniai Papua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian ex post facto. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas dan variabel terikat. Variabel bebas terdiri dari pola asuh orang tua dan bimbingan guru sedangkan variabel terikat terdiri dari perilaku sosial. Populasi penelitian yaitu jumlah keseluruhan. Sampel penelitian adalah berjumlah 21 anak usia dini, Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kontribusi peran pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku sosial anak usia dini di taman kanak-kanak Kabupaten Paniai Papua. Terdapat bimbingan guru terhadap perilaku sosial anak usia dini di Taman Kanak-Kanak Kabupaten Paniai Papua. The research aims to this study aims to find out how the role of parenting parents contributes to the social behavior of early childhood in Kindergarten in Paniai Regency, Papua. And  describe teacher guidance on early childhood social behavior in Kindergartens, Paniai Regency, Papua. The type of research used is the type of ex post facto research. The variables used in this study consisted of independent variables and dependent variables. The independent variable consists of parenting and teacher guidance, while the variable consists of social behavior. The research population is the total number. The research sample was 21 early childhood. The sampling technique in this study was using the purposive sampling technique. The results showed the contribution of the role of parenting to the social behavior of early childhood in the Kindergarten of Paniai Regency, Papua. There is teacher guidance on the social behavior of early childhood in the Kindergarten of Paniai Regency, Papua.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode sosiodrama terhadap kemampuan berbicara berbasis dialog cerita anak di UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 pada siswa Kelas IV. Jenis penelitiannya adalah eksperimen dengan bentuk desain pre- exsperimental designs one group pretest-postest Design. Sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswa Kelas IV Di UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar sebanyak 36 siswa dan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berbicara berpengaruh terhadap dialog cerita anak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data independent sampel test sig (2. Tailed), diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikasi 0,05 yang berarti bahwa ada pengaruh kemampuan berbicara maka H0 di tolak dan H1 diterima. simpulannya yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara berbasis dialog cerita anak Di UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar pada siswa Kelas IV This research aimed to determine the effect of the sociodrama method toward speaking ability based on children's story dialogue at UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 in Grade IV. This type of research is experimental with pre-experimental designs one group pretest-posttest design. While the sample of this research was students of Class IV at UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Makassar. 36 students as the sample of this research, and the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results showed that speaking ability had an effect on students' story dialogue. Based on the results of the independent sample data analysis of the sig test (2. Tailed), a value of 0.000 was obtained, which is smaller than the 0.05 significance level, which means that there is an influence on speaking ability, so H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. The conclusion is that there is a significant effect on speaking skills based on children's story dialogues at UPT SPF SD Negeri Maradekaya 2 Makassar City in Grade IV students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui nilai-nilai dan penerapan budaya lokal yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Bugis-Makassar sebagai upaya pembentuk karakter siswa siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian adalah Kelas IV di UPT SPF SDN Mamajang I dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang dan sumber data penelitian yang dipilih yaitu buku cerita rakyat Bugis-Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1). nilai-nilai budaya lokal yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Bugis-Makassar sebagai upaya pembentuk karakter siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1 yaitu penguatan nilai-nilai karakter dalam cerita rakyat dan penerapan budaya lokal yang sesuai dengan nilai kebangsaan. Beberapa penerapan budaya lokal yang diterapkan seperti budaya tabe’, pacce’ dan abbulo sibatang. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan nilai kebangsaan Indonesia yaitu nilai-nilai saling menghormati dan menghargai serta bermusyawarah. Adapun nilai-nilai yang termuat dalam cerita yaitu sikap peduli, bijaksana, berinisiatif, berhati lembut, hemat, bersyukur, sopan santun, tanggung jawab, musyawarah, gigih, sopan, pemaaf, sabar, toleransi, rasa malu, tolong menolong, cerdas, terbuka, berani, cerdik, kerjasama, patuh, empati, berani berbuat benar, patuh, bersyukur, baik sangka, ksatria, mawas diri, sabar, jujur, pemaaf, berhati lembut, dan terpuji. 2) penerapan budaya lokal Bugis-Makassar sebagai upaya integrasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam pembelajaran pada siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1 yaitu a) menyiapkan buku cerita rakyat di kelas/dipojok baca b) membaca sekitar 10-15 menit, c) mengidentifikasi nilai moral yang terdapat dalam cerita tersebut, d) melakukan penguatan nilai-nilai karakter cerita rakyat dan penerapan budaya lokal yang sesuai dengan nilai kebangsaan. The study aims to determine the values and application of local culture contained in the Bugis-Makassar folklore to form the character of the fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1. The type of research is qualitative research. The data in the study is from Class IV at UPT SPF SDN Mamajang I with 18 students, and the research data source selected is the Bugis-Makassar folktale book with the names of the book authors Isnaeni Wahab and Nurhadifah Amaliyah, white cover, published the year 2019, published by JL (Jusuf Ariyani Learning) and consists of 173 pages. The research instruments used were observation, interviews, questionnaires, note-taking, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and Conclusion Drawing/Verification. The results showed that 1). local cultural values contained in the Bugis-Makassar folktale as an effort to form the character of the fourth-grade students of UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1, namely strengthening character values in folklore and the application of local culture in accordance with national values. Some local cultural practices are applied, such as tabe', pacce' and abbulo sibatang culture. This is in accordance with the Indonesian national values, namely the values of mutual respect and appreciation and deliberation. The values contained in the story are caring, wise, initiative, soft-hearted, thrifty, grateful, polite, responsible, deliberation, persistent, forgiving, patient, tolerant, shy, helpful, intelligent, and open. , brave, smart, cooperative, obedient, empathetic, daring to do right, respectful, grateful, kind, courteous, introspective, patient, honest, forgiving, soft-hearted, and commendable. 2) the application of Bugis-Makassar local culture as an effort to integrate character values in learning for class IV students of UPT SPF SDN Mamajang 1, namely 1) preparing folklore books in the classroom/reading corner 2) reading about 10-15 minutes, 3) identifying the moral values contained in the story, 4) strengthening the character values of folklore and the application of local culture in accordance with national values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran status sosial ekonomi orang tua siswa sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar, mengetahui gambaran hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar, dan mengetahui pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap  hasil belajar IPS siswa sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Adapun subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 51 siswa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penarikan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Data penelitian yang diperoleh melalui pengisian  kuesioner pada sampel penelitian, kemudian ditentukan kriteria dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa status sosial dan ekonomi orang tua berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. Melalui uji t diketahui bahwa status sosial ekonomi orang tua berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Rappocini.  Dengan demikian terdapat pengaruh status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Rappocini Kota Makassar. This study aims to (1) describe the socioeconomic status of parents of elementary school students in Rappocini District, Makassar City, (2) find out the description of social studies learning outcomes for fourth-grade elementary school students in Rappocini District, Makassar City, (3) determine the effect of socioeconomic status parents on social studies learning outcomes for elementary school students in Rappocini District, Makassar City. This research is quantitative correlational research. The subjects in this study were 51 students. The technique used in sampling is purposive sampling. Research data was obtained by filling out questionnaires on the research sample, then determined the criteria using a Likert scale. The results of the study showed that the social and economic status of parents was in the very high category. Through the t-test, it is known that the socioeconomic status of parents has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in Class IV Elementary Schools in Rappocini District. Thus there is an influence of parents' socioeconomic status on social studies learning outcomes for elementary school students in Rappocini District, Makassar City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) keadaan minat baca siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging sebelum dan sesudah penerapan program literasi guru dan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah; (2) pelaksanaan program literasi guru dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging; (3) pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging; dan (4) efektivitas program literasi guru dan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Ex Post Facto. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Pengambilan sampel diambil 10% dari jumlah siswa dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 51 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan menggunakan kuesioner (angket), observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan statistic deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji regresi sederhana (uji hipotesis), serta uji efektivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program literasi guru, gerakan literasi guru, dan minat baca siswa masuk dalam kategori sangat tinggi. Hasil perhitungan uji regresi sederhana diperoleh berdasarkan output pada tabel diketahui nilai T hitung sebesar 82,762 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) efektif dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging. Selanjutnya pada tabel juga diketahui nilai T hitung untuk Program Literasi Guru sebesar 0,485 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,630. Dengan ketentuan tersebut diperoleh T tabel sebesar 2,01063. Sehingga, dengan menggunakan kriteria T hitung > T tabel (3,025 > 2,01063), maka dapat disimpulkan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti Program Literasi Guru efektif dalam menumbuhkan minat baca siswa di UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging. This research was conducted with the aim of determining: (1) the state of reading interest of UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging students before and after the implementation of the teacher literacy program and the School Literacy Movement; (2) the implementation of the teacher literacy program in fostering reading interest in UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging students; (3) the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in fostering reading interest in UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging students; and (4) the effectiveness of the teacher literacy program and the School Literacy Movement in fostering reading interest in UPT SPF students at SD Negeri Beroanging Makassar City. This study uses a quantitative method with an Ex Post facto research design. The population used in this study were all students of UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging for the academic year 2021/2022. Sampling was taken 10% of the number of students using the technique of proportionate stratified random sampling with a sample of 51 students. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire (questionnaire), observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test, simple regression test (hypothesis test), and effectiveness test. The results showed that the teacher literacy program, teacher literacy movement, and student interest in reading were in the very high category. The results of the simple regression test calculation are obtained based on the output in the table. It is known that the calculated T value is 82.762 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, which means that the School Literacy Movement (GLS) is effective in a growing interest in reading UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging students. Furthermore, the table also shows that the calculated T value for the Teacher Literacy Program is 0.485, with a significance value of 0.630. With these provisions, the T table is 2.01063. Thus, by using the criteria T arithmetic > T table (3.025 > 2.01063), it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means the Teacher Literacy Program is effective in growing student interest in reading at UPT SPF SD Negeri Beroanging.

Abstract

Nowdays in elementary and middle school, there has been a noticeable rise in expectations for children' writing abilities. This study aimed to analyze the application of make and match model on the writing skills of Indonesian students. The type of research used was experimental research, with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was fourth grade students, totaling 27 students, consisting of 13 students from class A and 14 students from class B. Data collection techniques in conducting this research are observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Based on the results of the study obtained an average pretest score of 68.21 and posttest 78.85. The results obtained from the t-test, the t-count value is 8.034 and the t-table is 1.782 with a significant level of 0.05 turns out to meet the criteria, t-count t table. The data obtained by using the –t test formula. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the calculated data value was > from t table. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the make a match learning method is effective in learning Indonesian for improvement of the writing ability of the fourth grade students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan siswa dalam menulis paragraf deskripsi, faktor penyebabnya dan upaya-upaya untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut dengan  objek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV UPT SPF SDN Lariangbangi I  Kota Makassar yang berjumlah 42 Orang dengan menggunakan pendekatan  penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan siswa dalam menulis menulis paragraf deskripsi adalah Kesesuian judul dan tulisan, kesesuaian rangkaian tema dan kalimat, penulisan ejaan, penulisan huruf kapital, pilihan kata atau diksi Penulisan struktur kalimat dan kerapihan tulisan. Faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan siswa dalam menulis paragraf adalah kurangnya persiapan siswa, siswa selalu membutuhkan contoh, tidak mampu mengembangkan kalimat menjadi paragraf, siswa tidak mengikuti kaidah penulisan yang benar dan siswa kekurangan kosakata. Dan upaya-upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi kesulitan siswa dalam menulis paragraf deskripsi adalah memperbanyak latihan menulis paragraf pendek untuk siswa dengan bermacam- macam topik, mengajarkan kembali kaidah penulisan yang benar dan mengajak siswa untuk lagsung menerapkannya, meningkatkan kemampuan mereka mengembangkan ide, mengarang meniru model karangan, mengarang menggunakan bantuan gambar atau tanpa gambar, dan menggunakan media, metode, dan taktik belajar yang sesuai. This study aims to determine students' difficulties in writing descriptive paragraphs, the causal factors and efforts to overcome these difficulties with the research object, namely class IV UPT SPF SDN Lariangbangi I Makassar City, totalling 42 people using a qualitative research approach. The results showed that students' difficulties in writing descriptive paragraphs were the suitability of titles and writing, the usefulness of a series of themes and sentences, writing spelling, writing capital letters, choice of words or diction, writing sentence structure and neatness. Factors that cause students' difficulties in writing paragraphs are the lack of student preparation, and students always need examples, cannot develop sentences into sections, need to follow the correct writing rules and lack of vocabulary. And the efforts made by the teacher to overcome students' difficulties in writing descriptive paragraphs are to increase the practice of writing short paragraphs for students on various topics, teach the correct writing rules again and invite students to apply them directly, increase their ability to develop ideas, compose imitating writing models, writing with the help of pictures or without pictures, and using appropriate learning media, methods and tactics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap minat membaca siswa dan pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap minat menulis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi kasus pada Siswa SDN Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar dengan metode observasi dan pembagian kuisioner berupa pertanyaan kepada subjek penelitian (Siswa kelas IV SDN Maradekaya 2. Hasil peneltian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan gadget secara signifikan terhadap minat membaca dan pengaruh penggunaan gadget juga secara signifikan terhadap minat menulis. Hal tersebut diperkuat dengan hasil kuisioner/angket yang diolah dengan metode regresi linier. Melalui analisis regresi linier diperoleh nilai sig < 0.05 (alpha) untuk pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap kemampuan literasi membaca dan menulis siswa SDN Maradekaya 2 Kota Makassar This study aims to determine the effect of using gadgets on students' reading literacy skills and the impact of using gadgets on students' writing literacy skills. This research was conducted using a case study on students of SDN Maradekaya 2 Makassar City using the observation method and distributing questionnaires in the form of questions to the research subjects (grade IV students at SDN Maradekaya 2). Also significantly on writing literacy skills. This was reinforced by the results of questionnaires/anke, which were processed using the linear regression method. A sig value <0.05 (alpha) was obtained through linear regression analysis for the effect of using gadgets on the literacy skills of reading and writing students of SDN Maradekaya 2 Makassar City

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran RADEC serta perbedaan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian quasi-experimental design dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent pretest posttest control grup design pendekatan kuantitatif.  Sedangkan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru, Kecamatan Tanete Riaja, Kabupaten Barru dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang yang terdiri dari 13 orang laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa. Berdasarkan tabel multivariate test dalam uji manova diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 di tolak dan Ha diterima. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa kelas VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran RADEC. This study aims to describe the level of mastery of concepts and the ability to write explanatory texts for class VI students of UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru before and after using the RADEC learning model and the effectiveness of using the RADEC learning as well as the difference in concept mastery and ability to write explanatory texts for class VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru using the RADEC learning model. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design with a quantitative approach. At the same time, the sample of this study was students of class VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru, Tanete Riaja District, Barru Regency, with a total of 22 students consisting of 13 boys and nine girls. The results showed that using the RADEC learning model affected students’ mastery of concepts and the ability to write explanatory texts. Based on the multivariate test table in the manova test, the value of Sig. 0.000 < 0,05, then H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded the mastery of concepts and the ability to write explanatory texts of class VI UPTD SD Negeri 93 Barru using the RADEC learning model.
