Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) siswa sekolah dasar masih menjadi tantangan, terutama pada pembelajaran IPAS yang memuat konsep abstrak seperti cahaya. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengetahui tingkat penguasaan HOTS siswa Kelas V SDN Mawar 7 setelah diberikan pengajaran dengan menggunakan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif (MPI). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Adapun data dalam studi ini diperoleh dari tiga sumber, yaitu wawancara, observasi non-partisipan, dan dokumentasi pembelajaran. Data utama diperoleh dari tata kegiatan siswa dan respons guru dalam pembelajaran dengan menggunakan MPI. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa MPI dalam pembelajaran mengandung animasi, video pembuka, simulasi, dan permainan. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa MPI mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan perhatian siswa, serta mefasilitasi siswa untuk mampu melakukan analisis pada sifat cahaya dan pengelompokan (C4) pada benda, melakukan evaluasi pada semua tahap eksperimen serta mengemukakan alasan yang logis pada percobaan (C5) dan berkreasi percobaan baru dengan menggunakan barang dan alat yang sederhana yang ada di sekitarnya (C6). Penemuan ini membuktikan bahwa ada dukungan efektif dari MPI dalam pembelajaran yang aktif dan kontekstual. Media Pembelajaran Interaktif (MPI) telah berdampak positif terutama dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Media Pembelajaran Interaktif (MPI) layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPAS SD guna  meningkatkan HOTS dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah.

Abstract

A gap exists between the ideal use of digital media in Discovery Learning and the limited facilities available at SDN Sungai Lulut 7. Using a qualitative case study, this research focused on a third-grade teacher, supported by student data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the discovery process can still take place without LCDs or stable electricity by replacing digital media with printed images, real objects, and direct observation activities. Students remained engaged in asking questions, observing, discussing, and drawing conclusions, although challenges like limited media and a crowded classroom were still present. The teacher’s adaptations such as simplifying learning steps, forming small groups, and maximizing simple materials played a key role in keeping the learning process active. These results highlight that the success of Discovery Learning relies more on teacher creativity than technology, offering opportunities for schools with limited facilities to continue meaningful and student-centered learning.

Abstract

The integration of the national curriculum with nature-based curricula remains a challenge for nature-based schools, particularly during the transition to the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to describe the integration of the Nature Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Alam Aisyiyah Banua Anyar Banjarmasin and to analyze its impact on students’ learning and character development. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation, with a single nature-based elementary school as the unit of analysis. The findings indicate that curriculum integration is carried out by aligning the learning outcomes of the Merdeka Curriculum with the four pillars of the Nature Curriculum morality, logic, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Learning takes place contextually in both classroom and outdoor settings. This integration enhances students’ enthusiasm, independence, responsibility, and awareness of moral and environmental values. The study concludes that the integration of the two curricula fosters active, meaningful, and character-oriented learning, and it offers relevant insights for developing adaptive curriculum models in nature-based schools.
