Abstract

Pregnant women will feel a variety of changes, both physically and mentally. Anxiety is a vague feeling of relaxation due to discomfort or fear accompanied by a response. This condition will increase the number of labor complications such as bleeding and infection that will cause an increase in maternal mortality. was to know the influence of husband’s role on the level of anxiety of pregnant women in normal facing normal labor at Bidan praktik Mandiri Nurul Hadi AR Pandrah Sub-District of Bireuen District in 2019. The type of this research was an analytical survey with cross sectional approach. This research was done at Bidan Praktik Mandiri Nurul Hadi AR, Pandrah Sub-district, Bireuen district from February to April 2019. The data collection in this study used primary record data. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test (0.05). Based on the results of the study, it was known that the majority of husbands in the category of less than 21 people (70.0%), the anxiety of the majority of third trimester pregnant women with the category of anxiety as many as 19 people (63.3%) with mild anxiety. Based on OR values ​​obtained 14,875 (95% CI 2,198-100,656). there is the influence of the husband's role 15 times to the anxiety of third trimester pregnant women in facing normal Labor at Bidan Praktik Mandiri Nurul Hadi AR Pandrah Sub-District Bireuen District in 2019. It is suggested to couples, especially husbands, to provide support mothers in order to reduce anxiety in pregnant women in the third trimester so that labor that will be faced can run smoothly.

Abstract

Antenatal care (ANC) refers to the care provided to mothers and their unborn babies during pregnancy. ANC visits are essential, as they allow for the early provision of important information and education regarding pregnancy and childbirth preparation. Objective to identify the factors influencing pregnant women's compliance with the minimum standard pregnancy examinations in the Deli Serdang District Health Office, North Sumatra. This study used a quantitative and cross-sectional approach, involving 138 pregnant using puposive sampling women from four community health centers under the Deli Serdang District Health Office, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the McNemar, Chi-square, and multiple logistic regression tests The results of the study showed that factors influencing compliance with the minimum standard pregnancy examinations included the mother's last education level, gestational age, transportation, travel time, ANC visit frequency, media exposure, knowledge, and attitude, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. The most dominant factor affecting compliance with ANC visits was the type of transportation used (p-value = 0.039). Education level, gestational age, transportation, travel time, ANC visit frequency, media exposure, knowledge, and attitude all influence compliance with ANC. Pregnant women should improve their attitude and motivation to seek information about healthy pregnancy using easier access, such as e-books or web links that can be read anytime and anywhere. In today's digital era, this can help increase awareness and knowledge about the importance of ANC, ultimately improving ANC coverage (K1-K4) and reducing maternal mortality rates.

Abstract

The postpartum period is a crucial period for the success of exclusive breastfeeding. A mother's understanding of proper breastfeeding techniques is one of the factors influencing breastfeeding success. Education using demonstration media such as breast models can improve mothers' understanding and skills in breastfeeding. This study aims to determine the effect of education on proper breastfeeding techniques using breast models on breastfeeding behavior in postpartum mothers at the Nining Pelawati Midwife Clinic in Lubuk Pakam. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample in the study was 18 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a breastfeeding behavior questionnaire before and after education. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in breastfeeding behavior after education was provided, with a p-value of 0.015 (p <0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that education on proper breastfeeding techniques using breast models is effective in improving breastfeeding behavior in postpartum mothers. Therefore, the use of demonstration media in breastfeeding education is highly recommended in health care facilities. in health care facilities.

Abstract

Rips through the birth canal is a form of obstetric trauma is one of the causes of the high maternal mortality rate in Indonesia. Perineal laceration occurs in almost all deliveries are the first and often also on the next delivery. Data in Puskesmas Idi Tunong in 2014 there were 249 maternal and a total of 112 (44.9%) were ruptured perineum, in 2015 there were 256 maternal and a total of 143 (55.8%) were ruptured perineum. This study aims to determine the relationship of birth weight with perineal rupture in normal deliveries at health centers Idi Tunong. This study used analytic survey with cross sectional study design. The samples were all mothers giving birth at health centers Idi Tunong the period January-April 2016 was 49 maternal. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square test. The results were obtained birth weight infants majority had normal birth weight as many as 42 infants (85.7%) infants. Normal child birth majority of ruptured perineum as much as 29 (59.2%). Statistical test results obtained by value p (sig) = 0.040 <0.05; then the hypothesis is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between birth weight with rupture of the perineum in Puskesmas Idi Tunong 2016. Suggested for health workers, especially midwives in order to increase knowledge and competence mainly in regards to the rupture of the perineum at birth mothers to reduce further complications to mothers who have ruptured perineum.
