Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Islamic education management on the attainment of Islamic educational goals through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and the Input–Process–Output (IPO) framework. The review is based on 15 verified articles published between 2020 and 2025 that are relevant to Islamic education management, the implementation of Islamic learning, and the development of student character. The analysis identifies thematic patterns across three key components: input (Islamic leadership, teacher competence, organizational culture, and infrastructure), process (implementation of an Islamic curriculum, instructional strategies, classroom management, and academic supervision), and output (moral conduct, character formation, spirituality, and learning outcomes). The findings indicate that the effectiveness of Islamic education management has a significant influence on the achievement of Islamic educational objectives, particularly through strengthening the quality of inputs that directly shape the learning process and educational outputs. The IPO model is shown to provide a comprehensive analytical framework for understanding the systemic relationship between educational governance, teaching processes, and Islamic-based learning outcomes. This study reaffirms the importance of integrated, value-oriented, and adaptive Islamic education governance as a prerequisite for the optimal realization of Islamic educational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to construct the concept of micro-leadership in madrasah management based on the managerial analysis of the Hadith regarding the obligation to appoint a leader among three travelers. Using a qualitative library research method with a hadith commentary approach and organizational behavior analysis, this study finds that the hadith is not merely travel ethics but a theological foundation for forming effective functional work units. The results indicate that the principle of one leader for three people aligns with span of control and agile leadership theories, recommending the formation of small teams (3–5 members) with a single chain of command to enhance decision-making speed and accountability. The practical implication of this research offers a madrasah organizational structure model that decentralizes authority at the micro-level to overcome bureaucratic inefficiencies and ambiguity in committee responsibilities.
