Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Islamic education management on the attainment of Islamic educational goals through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach and the Input–Process–Output (IPO) framework. The review is based on 15 verified articles published between 2020 and 2025 that are relevant to Islamic education management, the implementation of Islamic learning, and the development of student character. The analysis identifies thematic patterns across three key components: input (Islamic leadership, teacher competence, organizational culture, and infrastructure), process (implementation of an Islamic curriculum, instructional strategies, classroom management, and academic supervision), and output (moral conduct, character formation, spirituality, and learning outcomes). The findings indicate that the effectiveness of Islamic education management has a significant influence on the achievement of Islamic educational objectives, particularly through strengthening the quality of inputs that directly shape the learning process and educational outputs. The IPO model is shown to provide a comprehensive analytical framework for understanding the systemic relationship between educational governance, teaching processes, and Islamic-based learning outcomes. This study reaffirms the importance of integrated, value-oriented, and adaptive Islamic education governance as a prerequisite for the optimal realization of Islamic educational goals.

Abstract

The mental health of madrasah teachers is a crucial issue often overlooked behind narratives of piety and devotion. This study aims to uncover the phenomenon of toxic positivity labeled as worship and deconstruct the meaning of "amanah" (trustworthiness) often misused in human resource management in madrasahs. Using a library research method with a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach, this study examines literature on psychology, Islamic education management, and religious texts to identify how religious jargon is used to suppress valid teacher complaints regarding workload and well-being. The findings indicate that toxic positivity in the madrasah environment often manipulates the concepts of "patience" and "sincerity" to normalize labor exploitation, while the meaning of "amanah" has been hegemonized into a one-way obligation from teachers to institutions without fair reciprocity. Through theological deconstruction, this study reformulates the concept of amanah into "bilateral amanah" which integrates the principles of justice ('adl) and self-preservation (hifz al-nafs). This reconstruction offers a new management paradigm where emotional validation and setting work boundaries are viewed as part of worship and an absolute prerequisite for sustainable quality education.

Abstract

This narrative literature review examines the practices, challenges, and strategies of financial management within non-formal education (NFE) institutions, such as Community Learning Centers (PKBM) and Course and Training Institutions (LKP). Through a systematic search of Google Scholar (2015–2025), the review synthesizes peer-reviewed studies to highlight how financial governance directly impacts institutional sustainability. Key findings reveal a structural gap between operational needs and volatile funding sources, compounded by a widespread lack of accounting competence among NFE administrators. Despite these challenges, emerging best practices demonstrate that institutional resilience can be achieved through funding diversification, particularly via self-sustaining business units and private sector partnerships, and the adoption of digital financial management tools. The study concludes that transitioning from traditional to accountable, technology-assisted financial systems is an urgent imperative for NFE quality reform.
