Abstract

Stunting is a state of the nutritional status of a person based on the z-score height of age which lies in z-score <-2 SD. Stunting is a state of undernutrition that continues over time and happens in the long term. Prevalence of stunting in Subulussalam among children under 5 years old was is 64,91% which 48% occured in Simpang Kiri sub-district. This study was aimed to analyze whether micronutrient intake and exclusive breastfeeding were risk factors for stunting. The design was case-control unmatched, the subjects were children between 12-36 months with 53 stunted and 55 normal. The variables were the frequency of intake mineral source (Ca, Fe, and Zn), the frequency of intake vitamin A source, and exclusive breastfeeding. Data were analyzed using chi-square test and odds ratio.The results showed that frequency of intake Ca source (OR=4,11, 95%CI:1,83-9,25), frequency of intake Fe source (OR=4,31, 95%CI:1,70-10,9), frequency of intake Zn source (OR=7,46, 95%CI: 1,58-35,2), frequency of intake vitamin A source (OR=2,51, 95%CI: 1,15-5,49) and exclusive breastfeeding (OR=5,38, 95%CI:2,28-12,7) were the risk factor against stunting. Abstract

ABSTRACT &nbsp; Hernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) is a disease, where soft pads between vertebrae are compressed and broken, resulting in narrowing, being overweight will increase the burden on the spine and pressure on the disc, so maintaining weight with balanced nutrition will be very helpful sufferers in an effort to maintain and improve the state of HNP. This research was conducted to determine the effect of nutritional counseling with pocket media on the eating behavior of HNP (Hernia Nucleus Pulposus) patients in the Neurology Clinic dr. Kolman Medan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental (Quasy experiment) with a non-randomized one group design pre-test post-test design, without a control group. Held in July - August 2019, the sample was an outpatient who was diagnosed with HNP (Hernia Nucleus Purposus) who was treated at the Neurology Clinic dr. Kolman, who was selected by "Purposive Sampling" as many as 55 samples. The results of the study, in this study based on statistical values ??using the difference test obtained p. Pre test knowledge value - post test knowledge p value. Value (sig) 0,000 &lt;0.05, then H0 is rejected and HA is accepted. For pre counseling attitudes - post counseling attitudes, p value. Value (sig) 0.001 &lt;0.05, then H0 is rejected and HA is accepted, as well as for nutrient intake, using the difference test obtained p. Pre test intake value - Post test intake p value. Abstract

Konsumsi makanan jajanan anak diharapkan dapat memberikan kontri­busi energi dan zat gizi lain yang berguna un­tuk pertumbuhan anak. Makanan jajanan menyumbang 36% energi dari konsumsi pangan harian. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan dengan media booklet terhadap pemilihan makanan jajanan pada anak sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Medan Helvetia Kota Medan Tahun 2018. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperiment design dengan rancangan pre-test dan post-test design dengan kelompok pembanding. Post-test dilakukan 14 hari setelah perlakuan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 80 orang siswa kelas V (lima) SD Negeri 066046 dan SDN 064981 Kecamatan Medan Helvetia. Analisa data menggunakan uji t-dependent untuk melihat pengaruh antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat yaitu pengaruh penyuluhan dengan menggunakan booklet terhadap perubahan tindakan dan frekuensi dalam pemilihan makanan jajanan anak sekolah. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindakan kelompok penyuluhan gizi dengan media booklet lebih besar daripada penyuluhan tanpa menggunakan media yaitu dari 9,00 menjadi 12,40 dengan selisih rerata skor sebesar 3,40 sedangkan untuk frekuensi makan makanan jajanan tidak ada pengaruh. Kesimpulan: Diharapkan pihak sekolah meningkatkan pengawasan kepada siswa dalam memilih makanan jajanan dan memberikan penyuluhan kepada pedagang untuk menjual makanan jajanan yang sehat.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Stunting adalah kekurangan gizi yang berlangsung secara terus menerus dan terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Prevalensi stunting pada anak umur di bawah 5 tahun yaitu 64,91% dengan perincian pendek yaitu 64,4% dan sangat pendek 0,51%, dimana proporsi terbesar kejadian terdapat di Kecamatan Simpang Kiri yaitu sebanyak 48%. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan penyakit infeksi, praktek pemberian MP-ASI dengan stunting.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan disain case-control unmatched. Subjek penelitian adalah anak usia 12-36 bulan yang terdiri dari 53 anak stunting dan 53 anak normal. Faktor penyebab stunting adalah riwayat penyakit infeksi (ISPA dan Diare), Jenis pemberian MP-ASI, waktu pemberian MP-ASI . Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji chi-square dan uji regresi logistik berganda.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis MP-ASI  (OR = 9,15, 95%CI:) yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kejadian stunting diikuti waktu pemberian MP-ASI (OR=7,62, 95%CI:0,78-74,6) dan riwayat penyakit diare (OR=4,47, 95%CI: 1,15-17,35) sedangkan riwayat penyakit ISPA bukan merupakan faktor penyebab kejadian stunting.Kesimpulan: Direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang, imunisasi, jenis serta waktu pemberian MP-ASI dan melengkapi data program gizi sebagai bahan penilaian capaian program yang telah dijalankan.

Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem that is always faced in the world. Stunting increases the risk of morbidity and death in the brain as well as delayed motor development and stunted growth in the body. Breakfast is important because it fulfills a quarter of the daily nutritional needs of school children. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between breakfast habits and the incidence of stunting in elementary school children. The research was conducted at UPT SDN 101878 Kanan I. Observational research method with a cross-sectional design. The research population was all students in grades I-V as many as 19S5 with a sample of 78 students. Data were collected using a semi-FFQ questionnaire, amount of breakfast intake and height measurement. Statistical analysis used Chi-Square. The results of the research showed that the amount of breakfast consumption with good energy intake was 67.9% and less than 32.1%, protein intake was good at 83.3% and less than 16.7%, fat intake was good at 69.2% and less at 30.8%. Nutritional status was in the normal category 80.8%, short 16.7% and very short 2.6%. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between energy intake, protein intake, fat intake and the incidence of stunting. However, there is no relationship between breakfast habits and the incidence of stunting. The suggestion to the school is that students are expected to always go to school for breakfast every morning in order to meet a quarter of the daily needs of children at school

Abstract

Abstract: Anemia is one of the health problems throughout the world, especially in developing countries. Anemia often occurs in adolescence because during that period adolescents experience reproductive organ maturation. One of the causes of anemia is food intake which includes the problem of not paying attention to eating according to the nutritional needs of adolescents, often consuming fast food and often ignoring meal times.The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation between perception and food acceptance of boarding school children with anemia incidence in Private Junior High School Students of Galih Agung Islamic Boarding School Darul Arafah Raya.This study was an Observational study with a Cross-Sectional research design. A total of 71 female students were taken as samples. Data collection using questionnaire instruments and hemoglobin level checkers. Data analysis using the Chi-Square Test.The results showed that the incidence of anemia in female students was 56.3%. There was no correlation between female students' food perceptions and the incidence of anemia, obtained a statistical test result value of p = 0.542 (p> 0.05). There was a correlationbetween food acceptance and anemia, obtaining a statistical test result value of p = 0.011 (p <0.05). Anemia sering terjadi pada usia remaja dikarenakan pada periode tersebut remaja mengalami pematangan organ reproduksi. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya anemia adalah asupan makanan yang meliputi masalah kurangnya memperhatikan makan sesuai dengan kebutuhan gizi remaja, seringnya mengkonsumsi makanan siap saji dan sering mengabaikan waktu makan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan persepsi dan daya terima makanan anak asrama dengan kejadian anemia pada Siswi SMP Swasta Galih Agung Pesantren Darul Arafah Raya.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Observasional dengan rancangan penelitian Cross Sectional. Sampel diambil secara keseluruhan sebanyak 71 siswi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dan alat pemeriksa kadar hemoglobin. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Chi-Square.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa angka kejadian anemia pada Siswi sebanyak 56,3%. Tidak ada hubungan antara persepsi makanan siswi dengan kejadian anemia diperoleh nilai hasil uji statistik yaitu p = 0,542 (p > 0,05). Terdapat hubungan antara daya terima makanan dengan anemiadiperoleh nilai hasil uji statistik yaitu p = 0,011 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan tidak ada hubungan antara persepsi makanan siswi dengan kejadian anemia dan Terdapat hubungan antara daya terima makanan dengan anemia. Kata kunci: Anemia, Remaja, Persepsi Makanan, Daya Terima Makanan

Abstract

The research aims to determine the factors associated with the breakfast habits of school children. The study was conducted at UPT SDN 101878 Kanan I, Buntu Bedimbar, commencing in May 2023, using an observational analytical research method with a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of fourth and fifth-grade students, with a total sample size of 46 students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and interviews, and statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. The research results indicated that the availability of breakfast was correlated with breakfast habits in 65.2% of cases. The pocket money category was correlated with breakfast habits in 71.7% of cases among the 33 students, while the mother's occupation category was correlated with breakfast habits in 58.6% of cases among the 27 students. Cross-tabulation results demonstrate a significant correlation between these factors and breakfast habits. In conclusion, the presence of a morning breakfast's availability is related to breakfast habits, with a p-value of 0.006, rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). There is also a relationship between pocket money and breakfast habits, with a p-value of 0.007, rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho), as well as a connection between the mother's occupation and breakfast habits, with a p-value of 0.038, rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho).

Abstract

Pendahuluan; Wortel merupakan sayur dan buah, makanan nabati buah-buahan dan sayuran telah menjadi sumber nutrisi penting bagi manusia. Donat merupakan panganan yang digoreng yang biasanya dibuat dari adonan tepung terigu, gula dan mentega. Sehubung dengan hal tersebut maka dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sari wortel terhadap daya terima donat. Tujuan; untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan sari wortel terhadap daya terima donat.  Bahan dan Metode; Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah eksperimental dengan Penambahan sari wortel yang berbeda pada 3 (tiga) perlakuan dengan 2 (dua) kali pengulangan. Analisis data untuk uji organoleptik dilakukan oleh 25 (dua puluh lima) orang panelis tidak terlatih pada taraf signifikan 5% yang diteruskan dengan uji Duncan pada taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil; Hasil penelitian bahwa warna yang paling disukai panelis terdapat pada penambahan sari wortel sebanyak 30 ml dengan nilai rata-rata 4,00. Nilai rata-rata aroma 3,72 dengan penambahan sebanyak 30ml. Tekstur yang paling disukai panelis adalah dengan penambahan sari wortel sebanyak 30 ml pada dengan nilai rata-rata 3,88. Dan rasa yang paling disukai panelis adalah pada penambahan sari wortel 30 ml dengan nilai rata-rata 3,88. Kesimpulan; Donat yang paling disukai adalah donat formulasi C yaitu donat yang ditambahkan sari wortel sebanyak 30 ml.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan gizi dan kebiasaan sarapan pagi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di SMP Istiqlal Delitua. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Yayasan perguruan Istiqlal Delitua. Waktupenelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2024. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Populasi remaja putri kelas VII dan VIII berjumlah 104 siswi dengan sampel 51 siswi. Teknik sampel menggunakan simpel random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner dan alat pencek Hb (Easy Touch GCHb). Analisa data secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan kebiasaan sarapan pagi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri diperoleh p=0,023< (0,05) dan tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri pada remaja putri diperoleh p=0,687> (0,05). Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa ada hubungan kebiasaan sarapan pagi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri dan tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi dengan kejadian anemia putri.

Abstract

Nuggets are processed meat product that can increase the use and storage values of the meat itself. Making nuggets from depik fish with the substitution of mocaf flour increases the selling values of the depik fish. The aim is to determine the acceptability and hedonic quality and nutritional content of the best formulas vor nugget products. Experimental research using a completely randomized design (CRD) approach to the formulation of the basic material for making nuggets with the addition of depik fish with mocaf flour substitution that is four treatments and two repilications to obtain 8 experimental units, the data were analyzed by One Way ANOVA with Duncan test. The results based on hedonic tests show that F3 (60% Mocaf Flour + 40% Wheat Flour) averaged 3,81 the best-selected formula. Whereas the hedonic quality test showed that F3 was the best formulation with a total value of 3.74 with a grayish-white color clarification, depik fish aroma, savory taste and chewy texture. Water content is 12.24%, ash content is 7.38% and protein content is 5.16%. Conclusion:  the best depik fish nuggets formula is F3 formula.
