Abstract

This Abdimas activity aims to enhance the capacity of Kebon Alam Ecoprint UMKM in Lakarsantri, Surabaya through training on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and omnichannel marketing strategies. The main problems faced by the partner are the absence of a structured business plan and limited ability to integrate offline and digital marketing strategies. The method applied in this program is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which combines research and social intervention by actively involving the community throughout all stages of the activity. Using a community-based empowerment approach, the program emphasized active collaboration between the service team and the target community through focus group discussions (FGD), socialization, training, and mentoring in designing BMC and applying cross-channel marketing strategies. The results indicate an improvement in UMKM’s understanding of comprehensive business model mapping, the identification of ecoprint product value propositions, and the optimization of digital marketing channels integrated with offline sales activities. The tangible impacts of this program include a shift in entrepreneurial mindset toward digital adaptability, improved competitiveness, and the establishment of business independence. Thus, BMC training and omnichannel marketing strategies have proven effective in fostering the sustainability of creative economy-based UMKM.

Abstract

Kontribusi UMKM terhadap perekonomian cukup dominan, namun pelaku usaha ini masih dihadapkan pada berbagai permasalahan, khususnya terkait rendahnya produktivitas, keterbatasan efisiensi operasional, serta belum optimalnya adopsi teknologi dalam proses produksi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM melalui sosialisasi pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi usaha. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif berbasis kelompok yang meliputi tahap identifikasi kebutuhan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 20 pelaku UMKM di Surabaya dengan latar belakang usaha yang beragam. Penilaian terhadap peningkatan pemahaman peserta dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Temuan menunjukkan lonjakan yang sangat nyata, di mana nilai awal sebesar 38,5% meningkat menjadi 95,5%, atau mengalami kenaikan sebesar 57% yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Selain itu, peserta juga menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan teknis dalam penggunaan teknologi serta kesiapan dalam mengimplementasikannya pada proses produksi. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong terjadinya pembelajaran kolektif dan efek multiplikasi antar pelaku UMKM. Secara keseluruhan, program ini menunjukkan keberhasilan dalam memperkuat produktivitas, meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, serta mendorong daya saing UMKM melalui penerapan teknologi yang relevan dan berkesinambungan.

Abstract

Household appliances play an important role in supporting daily activities. However, the high rate of equipment damage and the limited technical knowledge among the community, especially housewives, often lead to dependence on repair services and increased household expenses. This community service program aimed to improve the ability of housewives to identify damage and perform simple repairs on household appliances independently. The program applied an educational and participatory approach through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The implementation included the delivery of basic technical materials, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions. Data collection methods consisted of observations, questionnaires in the form of pre-tests and post-tests, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis employed both quantitative and qualitative descriptive approaches. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding, indicated by an increase in the percentage of correct answers from 15% to 80%. In addition, participants demonstrated better practical skills and greater confidence in carrying out simple repairs independently. This activity not only enhanced participants’ technical competence but also contributed to household cost efficiency and the reduction of electronic waste. Therefore, the program is considered effective in promoting community self-reliance and has the potential to be sustainably developed.
