Abstract

Background: As a developing country, Indonesia maintains a low level of welfare for hygiene, as exemplified by Indonesia’s poor access facilities to clean water and lack of proper sanitation for households. Meanwhile, a proper supply of water and sanitation will help in reducing morbidity and mortality rates of diarrhea in children. Other risk factors such as socio-economic and socio-demographic conditions, helps improving the quality of life of households, thus lowering the risk of various diseases, including diarrhea. Methods: This study uses a Logistic Regression Analysis (Logit) model with Cross-sectional design using data collected from the 5th wave of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS-5) in 2014. The study population was children aged 2-10 years with a total of 2446 observations.Result: The result shows that there was a relationship between father's education in elementary school level (p=0.013), father's education in junior high school level (p=0.015), father's education in high school level (p=0.001), father's education at the university level (p=0.012), income (p=0.051), children’s age (p=0.000), and children’s gender (p=0.033) with the rate of diarrhea in children. Conclusion: This research concludes that water consumption factors (sources of drinking water, drinking water boiling process before consumption) and sanitation facilities factors (household toilet types) have insignificant results on the diarrhea rate of children in urban areas of Indonesia. However, socio-economic factors (fathers' education and household income) and socio-demographic factors (children’s gender and children’s age) have a significant effect on the diarrhea rates of children in urban areas of Indonesia.

Abstract

Maluku province is the province with the largest island in Indonesia. BPS Maluku report that Maluku province consists of 559 islands and divided into 9 regencies and 2 cities. Geographical conditions with many islands make the health care level not optimal in all districts in Maluku province. Health sector is one of the priorities programs of the government of Maluku Province. The government tries to increase the budget for health sector to increase the output of health sector in Maluku. This paper has two objectives. The first objective is to estimate scores of technical efficiency of health spending of regencies-cities in Maluku province. The second is to analyze the environmental factors that have an important role in enhancing the technical efficiency scores of regencies-cities in Maluku province. This study calculates scores of technical efficiency using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and use the Tobit method for the analysis of environmental factors. This study calculates the technical efficiency scores of health spending in 9 districts and 2 cities in Maluku province from 2012 to 2015. Abstract

High turnover intention among married female nurses at Fatmawati Hospital increases operational costs and risks compromising the quality of healthcare services. This study investigated the impact of work-family conflict (WFC) on turnover intention (TI), emphasizing the mediating role of psychological well-being (PWB). Using a mixed-methods approach, primary data were collected through structured questionnaires from married female nurses, while secondary data supported the theoretical framework. WFC was measured through two dimensions: work interference with family and family interference with work. PWB encompasses six dimensions, and TI was assessed based on six indicators related to job satisfaction and turnover intention. Data analysis using SPSS revealed that WFC negatively impacted PWB and positively impacted TI. In addition, higher psychological well-being reduced turnover intention and partially mediated the WFC–TI relationship. These findings highlight the importance of managing work-family conflict and improving nurses’ psychological well-being to reduce turnover risk. Limitations include a single hospital sample and cross-sectional design, and the need for larger longitudinal studies that can incorporate qualitative insights.
