Abstract

This study was motivated by the decline in the use of Sundanese, especially among young people. Sundanese is rich in new vocabulary generated by the process of affixation. Based on this research background, the objective of this study is to further explore the morphophonemic processes of the Sundanese language in novels. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes data in the form of stories from the novel Si Kabayan Jadi Dukun by Moh. Ambri, and analyzes them using four types of morphophonemic processes. A literature review was conducted to collect data. The research method is descriptive and qualitative. The data analysis technique is also descriptive. The instrument used in this study is a data card. Data was collected using the literature review technique. This study produced 369 data points showing that the meaning of words changes based on the affixes that accompany them. In the novel Si Kabayan Jadi Dukun by Moh. Ambri, 185 (48.8%) cases of the morphophonemic process of phoneme emergence were found, while 184 (48.5%) cases of the morphophonemic process of phoneme loss were found. Based on the data obtained, there is a slight difference between the two morphophonemic processes in the novel Si Kabayan Jadi Dukun by Moh. Ambri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas analisis reduplikasi dalam novel Dalingding Angin Janari karya Usep Romli Hamid Martaatmadja, dengan fokus meneliti mengenai bentuk, fungsi, dan arti dari reduplikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui teknik simak, yaitu mendalami, menelaah, mencatat dan mengidentifikasi bahan bacaan yang akan diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat delapan bentuk reduplikasi, diantarannya; 1). reduplikasi dwipurwa (68/12,1%). 2). reduplikasi dwipurwa berimbuhan (135/24,5%). 3). reduplikasi dwimadya (28/5,0%). 4). reduplikasi dwimadya berimbuhan (7/1,2%). 5). reduplikasi dwimurni (197/35,5%). 6). reduplikasi dwimurni berimbuhan (83/14,8%). 7). reduplikasi dwireka (33/5,9%). 8). reduplikasi dwireka berimbuhan (7/1,2%), dengan jumlah 558 kata dan persentasi 100%. Hasil dari analisis fungsi ditemukan sebanyak lima bagian, diantara fungsi dari reduplikasi adalah; 1). kata barang/nomina (232/41,5%). 2). kata kerja/verba (141/25,4%). 3). kata Sifat/adjektiva (113/20,2%). 4). kata bilangan/numeralia (24/4,3%). 5). kata pancen/partikel (48/8,6%), total 558. Hasil dari analisis arti jumlahnya sama dengan hasil dari analisis fungsi yaitu 558. Karena dalam penelitian ini, proses untuk mendapatkan hasil dari analsis arti yaitu menggunakan arti leksikal atau arti secara kamus. Maka dari itu hasil arti = hasil fungsi dengan lima pembagian sebanyak 558.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the analysis of basic words in the novel Lebé Kabayan by Ahmad Bakri, this study focuses on examining the form, meaning and function of basic words. In this study using descriptive qualitative methods. Data acquisition through library study techniques or literature reviews, namely by examining, exploring, recording and identifying reading materials to be studied. To obtain the results of the data in this study is by calculating the frequency and percentage of the data. The results of this study show that there are five forms of basic words, including; 1) one-syllable basic words (220 / 7.6%); 2) two-syllable basic words (2261 / 78.4%); 3) three-syllable basic words (347 / 12%); 4) four-syllable basic words (53 / 1.9%); 5) five-syllable basic words (2 / 0.1%), with a total of 2883 data and a percentage of 100%. The results of the analysis of the meaning of basic words with five parts, including; 1) the meaning of one syllable basic words (220/ 7.6%); 2) the meaning of two syllable basic words (2261/ 78.4%); 3) the meaning of three syllable basic words (347/ 12%); 4) the meaning of four syllable basic words (53/ 1.9%); 5) the meaning of five syllable basic words (2/ 0.1%). The results of the basic word functions found five parts, including; 1) the word item (1365/ 47.3%); 2) the verb (391/ 13.6%); 3) the word sipat (169/ 6%); 4) the word number (34/ 1.1%); 5) the word task (924/ 32%).
