Abstract

ABSTRACT Controlling body weight can be done with aerobic physical activity. Besides caffeine in the body's metabolism can also reduce body mass and percent fat, if both are combined can provide a more effective influence in reducing Body Mass Index and Percent Body Fat in Overweight of female. This experimental study was conducted on 12 women aged 19-22 years. Research design Treatment by subject, treatment 1; Aerobic exercise 14 sessions and treatment 2 Caffeine and Aerobic Exercise 14 sessions. Subjects measured BB, TB (BMI), PBF (skinfold callifer) before and after treatment. The results of the study showed a decrease in BMI in P2 higher than P1 (0.75 + 0.39; 0.44 + 0.23), the results of the t-test showed a significant difference of 0.041 (p <0.05). The decrease in PBF in P2 was higher than P1 (0.84 ± 0.23; 0.42 ± 0.30), the t-test showed a significant difference of 0.001 (p <0.05). Conclusion: the effect of the combination of aerobic exercise and caffeine intake is more effective in reducing body mass index and percent body fat in overweight of female. Keywords: aerobic exercise; BMI; caffeine; overweight; PBF.

Abstract

Upgrading the competency of existing trainers has not been implemented well and still seems minimal without using sports science studies and approaches. Setting standards and implementing certification of training and upgrading programs is an important element in developing quality handball coaches. Research Objectives to improve the skills of handball coaches, especially those related to the long-term athlete development approach (LTAD). This study was a group pretest-posttest design—45 participants consisting of 12 athletes and 33 physical education teachers. Participants' demographics and outcomes were summarized using descriptive statistics. Pre and post-tests in each group were assessed using paired t-tests. There was a significant increase in the knowledge and skill of handball, knowledge of the training program, and LTAD. This research concludes that coaches can use a long-term athlete development approach to improve handball athletes' skills.

Abstract

Lack of a combination of physical and mental training results in paragliding athletes lacking focus and confidence and not getting good accuracy results. The main aim of this research is to find out about exercise parable And touchpad towards increasing the performance of paragliding athletes in accuracy numbers in Central Java. The method used is quantitative one group pre-test post-test design. The population was 14 regional paragliding athletes and the sampling technique used total sampling 14 paragliding athletes. The pre-test and post-test carry out flying accuracy 3 times with points calculated as accumulated. The research instrument is skytronik 22-centimeter diameter. The main results of the study were significant differences in points before and after exercise. The conclusion is that imagery and touchpad training can improve the performance of paragliding athletes in accuracy numbers in Central Java. The implications of this research are implications This research shows that these two methods have significant implications in improving athlete performance.

Abstract

The incidence of persistent respiratory symptoms after acute post-COVID-19 infections, referred to as post-COVID-19 syndrome, is high. This study aimed to determine the feasibility and the acute effects of the combination of aerobic, strength and breathing exercises on pulmonary function and oxygen saturation among women post-COVID-19. This study involved 36 women post-COVID-19, with a mean age of 34.4±9.1 years, in a 45-minute aerobic, strength, and breathing exercise with an intensity of 65-75% maximum heart rate. The pulmonary function was measured with spirometry, while oxygen saturation was measured with an oximeter. These measurements were taken pre and post-exercise. Feasibility was determined as participants’ ability to complete the exercise and the incidence of adverse effects. A pair-t-test and effect size were assessed to estimate the acute effects of the exercise on Cohen’s d estimation. All patients complied, and no adverse events were reported, thus, supporting the feasibility of the exercise protocol. There was an increase in most post-exercise pulmonary function and oxygen saturation compared to pre-exercise (p <.001 to 0.03), with effect sizes ranging from 0.5 to 0.8, indicating medium to large effects of the exercise program on pulmonary functions and oxygen saturation. In conclusion, the combination of aerobic, strength, and breathing exercises is feasible and safe for women post-COVID-19 and potentially improves most pulmonary functions. Further research is recommended to evaluate the longer adaptation of the exercise on the pulmonary function in post-COVID-19.
