Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Strategic Plan and Operational Plan in improving educational quality in the era of deep learning at one public elementary school in Tanah Laut Regency. The background of this research is the importance of strategic and operational planning as fundamental instruments to ensure schools remain adaptive, effective, and oriented toward meaningful learning in response to the demands of 21st-century education. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan supports school management, instructional leadership, and continuous quality improvement. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and were analyzed through data triangulation to ensure validity and reliability. The findings reveal that the effective implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan is strongly influenced by visionary and instructional leadership of the principal, participatory communication, collaborative school culture, systematic monitoring and evaluation, and efficient resource management. Furthermore, the integration of strategic planning with instructional practices encourages adaptive curriculum development, professional growth of teachers, and improved learning processes aligned with deep learning principles. Continuous monitoring and evaluation enable schools to identify challenges, improve program effectiveness, and sustain quality improvement. In conclusion, the implementation of Strategic Plan and Operational Plan supported by strong leadership and systematic evaluation significantly contributes to sustainable school quality improvement in the deep learning era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of pesantren values in madrasah development planning through a needs assessment approach at MA Ubudiyah. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design to examine how pesantren values are identified and incorporated into institutional planning. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the head of the madrasah, teachers, and coordinators of religious activities. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that pesantren values such as sincerity (ikhlas), discipline, simplicity, and collective responsibility are integrated into the madrasah development planning process through three stages: identification of institutional needs, formulation of value-based development programs, and internalization of pesantren culture in educational and organizational practices. This integration strengthens the religious culture of the madrasah and supports the development of institutional identity and character-based education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the principal’s supervisory competence in enhancing teachers’ continuous professional development (CPD) at SD Negeri 1 Bati-bati. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects included the principal and teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the implementation of supervisory competence covers planning, implementation, feedback, and follow-up integrated with CPD. The supervision process is carried out through a combination of planned and unannounced supervision to obtain authentic classroom practices. Feedback is provided constructively and followed by clinical supervision as a form of professional guidance. In addition, supervision is integrated with CPD through training rotation, documentation, and dissemination of training outcomes. However, several challenges remain, such as the lack of structured follow-up and limited technological competence among some teachers. This study concludes that the principal’s supervisory competence plays a significant role in improving teachers’ professional development sustainably.
