Abstract

PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesi is a company engaged in the management and distribution of mining products, particularly tin and ferronickel. In its business operations, the company relies on warehouse performance as a central hub for controlling the flow of goods and information. This study seeks to identify and empirically analyze how warehouse capability, inventory management, and human resource competence contribute to the effectiveness of tin and ferronickel warehouse management at PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesia. Furthermore, the study explores how the effectiveness of warehouse management impacts the optimization of the company’s supply chain. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 229 respondents consisting of the warehouse staff, logistics personnel, and management level. This data is subsequently analyzed using the SEM-PLS method to analyze both direct and indirect relationships among variables. Furthermore, supply chain optimization significantly mediates the relationships between these independent variables and warehouse management outcomes, emphasizing its crucial role in translating operational capabilities into performance improvements. Among the predictors, warehouse capability demonstrates the strongest total effect on management effectiveness, highlighting the importance of infrastructure and technological support in logistics operations. This shows that PT Sinergi Mitra Lestari Indonesia must enhance warehouse efficiency, optimize space utilization, and strengthen supply chain processes to remain competitive in the mining sector.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of three digital transformation dimensions, technology adoption, digital HR readiness, and top management support, on operational efficiency and logistics service performance at PT Pos Indonesia's Padang Main Branch Office. Using the TOE Framework and PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4.0, data from 58 employees were analyzed. Five of six hypotheses were supported, revealing a previously undocumented cross dimensional pattern, digital HR readiness emerged as the strongest predictor of operational efficiency (β = 0.553, f² = 0.485), while technology adoption and top management support more strongly influenced service performance. The model explains 77.2% and 69.8% of variance respectively. These findings indicate that internal efficiency is primarily determined by human readiness, while customer facing service quality is driven by the combination of technology and leadership.

Abstract

The Influence of Cost Efficiency, Transit Time, Shipment Characteristics, and Load Capacity on Transportation Mode Selection through Route Optimization as a Mediating Variable at PT Pos Indonesia Regional III Bandung. The increasing complexity of logistics distribution and higher service demands require companies to improve transportation efficiency through effective management of cost efficiency, transit time, shipment characteristics, and load capacity. This study aims to analyze the influence of cost efficiency, transit time, shipment characteristics, and load capacity on transportation mode selection through route optimization as a mediating variable at PT Pos Indonesia Regional III Bandung. This research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents involved in the company’s distribution and transportation activities. The results indicate that cost efficiency, transit time, shipment characteristics, and load capacity have a positive and significant effect on route optimization. Furthermore, route optimization has a positive and significant effect on transportation mode selection. Cost efficiency, transit time, shipment characteristics, and load capacity also positively influence transportation mode selection both directly and indirectly through route optimization. The study concludes that route optimization plays a crucial role in improving transportation mode selection decisions and enhancing distribution efficiency within the company.
