Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the effect of job satisfaction and job insecurity on turnover intention through work engagement. This research is a quantitative research. The population in this study were employees of the Al-Fatimah Bojonegoro Modern Islamic Boarding School with a total of 120 people using a simple random sampling technique, a sample of 92 people was obtained which was calculated using the formula developed by Slovin with an error rate of 5%. Data collection techniques with questionnaires and documentation were then analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study state that Job Satisfaction is in the very good category. While Job Insecurity, Work Engagement and Turnover Intention are in the good category. Job satisfaction has no significant effect on Work Engagement, Job Insecurity has a significant effect on Work Engagement, Job satisfaction and Work Engagement have a significant effect on Turnover Intention, Job Insecurity has no significant effect on Turnover Intention, Job satisfaction has no significant effect on Turnover Intention through Work Engagement. Job Insecurity has a significant effect on Turnover Intention through Work Engagement.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tantangan dan peluang dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia (SDM) di lembaga pendidikan Islam dengan fokus pada kesejahteraan dan produktivitas kerja. Pengelolaan SDM yang efektif di lembaga pendidikan Islam menjadi semakin penting dalam menghadapi dinamika globalisasi, perubahan teknologi, dan tuntutan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kesejahteraan dan produktivitas tenaga pendidik dan staf administratif di lembaga pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama dalam pengelolaan SDM meliputi keterbatasan anggaran, kurangnya pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional, beban kerja yang tinggi, serta sistem penggajian dan insentif yang kurang transparan. Di sisi lain, terdapat berbagai peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan, seperti pemanfaatan teknologi digital, pengembangan kebijakan kesejahteraan yang lebih komprehensif, peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dan alumni, serta penerapan prinsip-prinsip manajemen berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Artikel ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis bagi pengelola lembaga pendidikan Islam untuk mengoptimalkan pengelolaan SDM guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan produktivitas kerja, serta menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih positif dan berkelanjutan. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan literatur pengelolaan SDM di sektor pendidikan Islam dan memberikan panduan praktis bagi pemangku kepentingan dalam menghadapi tantangan dan memanfaatkan peluang yang ada.

Abstract

The development of Islamic banking in Indonesia has demonstrated significant growth; however, its adoption rate remains relatively low despite the country’s predominantly Muslim population. This study aims to examine the role of Islamic financial literacy in strengthening the influence of Islamic religiosity on the level of Islamic banking adoption in Indonesia. The study employs a quantitative research design using a survey approach of 292 Muslim university students who are customers of Islamic banks in Indonesia, with data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that Islamic religiosity has a positive and significant effect on the level of Islamic banking adoption. Furthermore, Islamic financial literacy is found to function as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship between Islamic religiosity and Islamic banking adoption. This study introduces a novel perspective by positioning Islamic financial literacy as a reinforcing mechanism in the relationship between Islamic religiosity and Islamic banking adoption behavior. Theoretically, this study contributes to the Islamic finance literature by enhancing understanding of the interactive role of religiosity and financial literacy in explaining the adoption behavior of Islamic financial services. Practically, the findings provide important implications for Islamic banks and regulators in designing more targeted Islamic financial education and literacy strategies to increase the adoption of Islamic banking in Indonesia Keywords : Sharia financial literacy, Islamic religiosity, Islamic banking adoption
