Abstract

This study addresses the limited availability of instructional media that integrate scientific content with spiritual values in physics education. It aims to develop and validate digital flipbook-based teaching materials for Basic Physics using the STEM-Qur’an (STEMQ) approach. The objective is to produce educational content that combines scientific accuracy, interactive digital design, and the integration of Qur’anic principles to foster ethical and holistic learning. A descriptive validation method was applied involving expert judgment to evaluate two main dimensions: content validity and media quality. Content evaluation focused on curriculum alignment, conceptual accuracy, language clarity, instructional structure, and STEMQ integration. Media validation assessed digital layout, implementation practicality, and technological functionality. Data were analyzed using the Gregory Index, resulting in a coefficient of 0.90 for content and 0.83 for media, indicating high validity. The findings confirm that the flipbook is pedagogically sound, technologically usable, and culturally relevant for Islamic science education. This validated model supports the integration of empirical inquiry with Qur’anic values and offers a framework for future development and classroom application

Abstract

this research is to evaluate the application of the guided inquiry learning model to the physics learning motivation of class XI students at SMAN 12 Makassar. Method applied was Quasi Experimental with a two group pretest-posttest design, one group acted as the experimental group and the other group as the control group. Population was all class XI students of SMA Negeri 12 Makassar using a purposive sampling technique with class The instrument used was a student physics learning motivation questionnaire in the form of multiple choice with 24 questions. The research showed that the average pretest score in the experimental class was 88.75, while in the control class it was 87.21. The average posttest score in the experimental class increased to 104.16, while the average posttest score in the control class was lower, namely 92.90. Data analysis using the N-Gain test, an increase of 49.31 was obtained in the experimental class with medium criteria and the N-Gain in the control class experienced an increase of 17.35 which was categorized as low. So, it can be concluded that the application of the guided inquiry learning model can increase the physics learning motivation of class XI students at SMA Negeri 12 Makassar.

Abstract

The cultivation of religious character is essential in shaping students who not only understand academic content but are also able to internalize and implement Islamic values in their daily lives. Accordingly, teachers are expected to produce human resources who are not only academically competent but also religiously grounded. This study aimed to develop a Newton’s Laws e-module integrated with Muhammadiyah values. The research employed a descriptive design to describe the validity of the developed e-module. The research instrument consisted of an expert validation sheet used to evaluate the Newton’s Laws e-module integrated with Muhammadiyah values. The validation findings demonstrate that the developed e-module meets the validity criteria and is considered appropriate for use in physics learning. All assessed indicators obtained Aiken’s V coefficients above the minimum validity standard of 0.75. Specifically, the coefficient values were 0.88 for curriculum and learning outcome alignment, 0.85 for the accuracy of Newton’s Laws content, 0.76 for the integration of Muhammadiyah values, 0.79 for media and visual design as well as learning features, and 0.87 for Indonesian language conventions. In addition to the quantitative results, the validators provided several recommendations to improve the quality of the e-module. These recommendations included strengthening student activity feedback, adding one relevant Qur’anic verse to each subtopic, revising the background color composition, and refining the feedback system embedded in the e-module. Considering these findings, subsequent studies may focus on developing an offline version of the Newton’s Laws e-module integrated with Muhammadiyah values to enable broader use in schools with limited internet access.
