Abstract

This study developed and validated an Ethno-STEAM integrated e-module to enhance students’ conservation skills using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Expert validation results showed average scores of 4.6 for content, 4.875 for design, and 4.5 for practitioners, categorized as “very good” (interval 4.21–5.00). These findings confirm the feasibility of the e-module in terms of content quality, presentation, language, and design without significant revisions. Implementation results demonstrated notable improvements in students’ science literacy. Prior to the intervention, students were distributed at level 1 (23.40%), level 2 (50%), and level 3 (26.60%), with no students reaching levels 4 or 5. After implementation, the distribution shifted to level 1 (7.40%), level 2 (10%), level 3 (40%), level 4 (36.70%), and level 5 (5.90%). The novelty of this research lies in integrating Ethno-STEAM with local wisdom, which not only improves science literacy but also fosters conservation values such as appreciation, pride, and care for local culture. The e-module is therefore recommended as an effective, scientific, and character-oriented medium for chemistry learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan ciri-ciri kecerdasan emosioal, cara mengembangkan serta faktor penghambat kecerdasan emosional pada siswa korban perceraian orag tua (cerai hidup) di SMP Negeri 14 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap tiga partisipan yakni NR, RR dan RA, serta informan dari orangtua, guru BK, dan teman sekelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perceraian orangtua berdampak pada emosi siswa seperti mudah marah, motivasi belajar rendah, dan kesulitan mengelola emosi. Meskipun demikian, siswa masih mampu membina hubungan sosial secara wajar. Strategi pengembangan dilakukan melalui perhatian, dukungan emosional, dan pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar oleh orangtua atau wali. Faktor penghambat yang dominan adalah kurangnya komunikasi efektif dan waktu berkualitas dengan orang tua.

Abstract

This study addresses the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across various fields, including scientific writing. AI offers several advantages, such as text summarization, grammar checking, automatic citation, and data analysis. However, the utilization of AI in academic writing faces challenges, such as the lack of clear guidelines or a printed manual for its use in an academic context. This research aims to develop a practical Handbook that helps students use AI optimally. The development process involves four stages: preliminary study, product development, validation and revision, and limited trials. The preliminary study, consisting of interviews with students, identified the field's needs. Based on these results, the Handbook was developed and structured according to academic writing standards. The product was validated by experts in content, media, and practitioners. After validation and revision, the Handbook was tested with 20 students to assess its effectiveness. Validation results showed a feasibility score of 90% from content experts, 100% from media experts, and 92% from practitioners. The limited trial resulted in an 83% score, indicating the Handbook’s feasibility. The findings suggest that this Handbook is an effective learning tool, ready to help students and academics understand and use AI optimally and responsibly in scientific writing.
