Abstract

Education has a strategic role in developing students' potential, both cognitively, skills, and attitudes, one of which is realized through the implementation of the Independent Curriculum with the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). This study intends to: (1) find out the implementation of P5 in improving students' understanding of democracy at SMP Negeri 11 Samarinda, (2) identify supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of P5 related to democracy education, and (3) formulate solutions to overcome obstacles that arise. Qualitative descriptive research is the approach implemented in this study, where data is collected by implementing semi-structured interview techniques, field observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of PPKn teachers, P5 coaching teachers, and students who were active in project activities. The results of the study show that the implementation of P5 with the theme "Voice of Democracy" with the election of the Student Council President has succeeded in increasing students' understanding of democratic values such as freedom of opinion, social responsibility, and consensus deliberation. Student participation reached 90%, supported by the enthusiasm of students, the active role of teachers, and the support of schools and parents. The obstacles identified include the lack of understanding of some students related to the project objectives and limited implementation time. To overcome these obstacles, schools carry out strategies to strengthen students' understanding from the beginning of the school year, continuous coaching, and improve communication between schools and parents. These findings confirm the importance of P5 as a contextual learning vehicle to foster democratic character in students.

Abstract

Working students face challenges in balancing academic demands with the jobs they do to meet financial needs or gain practical experience. This study aims to explore the role of social support in helping students who work in the food and beverage industry in Samarinda City achieve a balance between work and academic life. This study employs a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach to explore the role of social support in achieving work-life balance among students working in the food and beverage (F&B) industry in Samarinda City. A qualitative approach was chosen because it allows for an in-depth understanding of participants' life experiences, perceptions, and social interactions within their educational and work environments. The research subjects consist of three informants, all of whom are students working part-time in the food and beverage industry. Two informants work as baristas, while one informant works as kitchen staff in local cafes and restaurants in Samarinda City. The informants were selected using purposive sampling, a sampling technique commonly used in qualitative research to select individuals who have relevant experience and can provide rich and in-depth information related to the research problem selection.subjects was based on several considerations. First, students working in the F&B sector often face irregular working hours, customer service demands, and performance pressures, making them prone to experiencing conflicts between work and study. The results of the study show that working students apply careful time management strategies to maintain a balance between their studies and work. Social support, whether from family, friends, or self-support, proved to play an important role in reducing stress and improving their well-being. Although challenges such as difficulty in managing time and heavy academic workloads remain, the emotional and practical support provided by the surrounding environment is very helpful in achieving this. This research provides insights into the importance of social support in managing the work-life balance of working students, as well as its contribution to their well-being and academic success.Keywords: Students working, social support, work-life balance, time management

Abstract

Penyebaran hoaks di era digital merupakan ancaman serius bagi integritas pendidikan tinggi, termasuk di lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Mulawarman terhadap peran Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik dalam mencegah penyebaran hoaks di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memahami pentingnya Undang-Undang tersebut sebagai instrumen hukum dalam mengatur ruang digital. Namun, implementasinya dinilai belum optimal akibat rendahnya literasi digital dan pemahaman terhadap aspek hukum di kalangan mahasiswa. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi penguatan pendidikan hukum dan pelatihan literasi digital secara berkelanjutan sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran hukum dan memaksimalkan efektivitas Undang-Undang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik dalam memerangi penyebaran informasi palsu di lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai Persatuan Indonesia di kalangan siswa SMA menghadapi tantangan karena rendahnya keterlibatan aktif dan pemaknaan nilai dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi pendekatan deep learning serta dampaknya terhadap pengaktualisasian nilai sila ke-3 Pancasila. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif bersama guru Pendidikan Pancasila pada siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 8 Samarinda. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis secara reflektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan deep learning melalui integrasi mindful, meaningful, dan joyful learning mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif, interaksi dialogis, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis dan reflektif siswa. Nilai Persatuan Indonesia teraktualisasi dengan sangat baik dalam sikap kerja sama, toleransi, dan penyelesaian konflik secara dialogis. Dengan demikian, pendekatan deep learning berpotensi menjadi strategi transformatif dalam menginternalisasikan nilai persatuan secara kontekstual.
