Abstract

This study aims to explore the qualitative analysis of teacher training at Pesantren-based Junior High Schools to improve education quality. A qualitative research design was employed, focusing on in-depth interviews and observations to assess the training needs, planning, execution, and evaluation processes. The findings reveal that successful teacher training requires clear objectives, integration of pedagogical skills and religious values, and active participation from stakeholders such as school principals, teachers, and students. Effective training also relies on support from management, appropriate training designs, and diverse teaching methods. However, challenges such as time constraints, lack of facilities, resistance to change, and heavy administrative workloads were identified as obstacles in the implementation. To address these challenges, strategic approaches such as flexible scheduling, a structured evaluation system, and continuous feedback are essential for enhancing the effectiveness of teacher training and improving the overall quality of education in Pesantren-based Junior High Schools. These efforts contribute to the integration of Islamic values in the educational process.

Abstract

Abstract

Organizational culture plays a strategic role in shaping teachers' work behavior, especially in the context of Islamic educational institutions that prioritize religious values as the foundation for managing education. The challenge of teacher collaboration, which still tends to be individualistic, highlights the importance of strengthening an organizational culture based on Islamic values as the foundation for collective work behavior. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of an organizational culture based on Islamic values in shaping collaborative work behavior among teachers in Islamic educational institutions. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature study by analyzing relevant scientific literature from 2020–2025 regarding organizational culture, Islamic education management, and teacher collaboration. The study's findings show that Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), brotherhood (ukhuwah), deliberation (musyawarah), and justice serve as the foundation of organizational culture, promoting the creation of a conducive work environment, strengthening interpersonal trust, and fostering teachers' pedagogical and professional collaboration. This study contributes to strengthening the perspective of Islamic education management by emphasizing that an Islamic organizational culture functions not only as a normative guideline but also as an operational framework in developing sustainable collaborative work behavior among teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of productive waqf management as a source of Islamic education financing non-state budget in madrasah, as well as to identify the management factors that most determine its success. The study uses a qualitative approach with a library study design, supported by data collection techniques in the form of documentation and observation of productive waqf management practices in madrasah. The results of the study indicate that productive waqf management in madrasah runs through three dominant functions, namely structured planning, the implementation of active agricultural and plantation business units that generate income, and routine supervision that directly involves institutional leaders. These three functions form a management cycle that is capable of making waqf a complementary financing source that gradually reduces madrasah dependence on the state budget. The determining factors for success rest on the consistency of planning and the commitment of leadership supervision, although the limited human resources of nazhir and the not yet productive nature of all waqf assets remain structural obstacles that still need to be addressed. These findings contribute to the achievement of SDG 4 on quality and inclusive education, because the productive waqf-based financing model enables madrasah to independently organize quality education without burdening students or fully relying on state subsidies.
