Abstract

Methodological debates in the academic sphere are often ensnared in a rigid dichotomy between the positivism paradigm underlying quantitative methods and the interpretivism governing qualitative methods. This polarization creates epistemological barriers that frequently hinder researchers from capturing the wholeness and complexity of a phenomenon holistically. In fact, both paradigms possess significant symbiotic potential to strengthen the validity, reliability, and credibility of scientific findings through methodological convergence. This article aims to deeply map the roots of the differences (dichotomy) from philosophical to technical dimensions, while simultaneously exploring integration opportunities (symbiosis) between the two. By applying a literature study method on various contemporary methodological journals and fundamental literature, the study results indicate that although the dichotomy fundamentally lies in the foundations of ontology, epistemology, and axiology of data, symbiosis can be effectively achieved through triangulation strategies and mixed-methods designs. The study concludes that the integration of both methods is not merely a technical merger of instruments, but rather a manifestation of an epistemological approach capable of providing a more comprehensive understanding, rich in descriptive nuances, yet remaining empirically measurable. The recommendations of this article emphasize the importance of methodological flexibility for researchers in facing increasingly complex social and scientific phenomena in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Research in education plays a crucial role in improving the quality of the learning processes and the development of the education system as a whole. Educational research not only generates new knowledge but also provides a scientific basis for educational decision making related to education policy . This study aims to examine the role of educational research in improving the quality of learning and identify developments in educational research in recent years. The method used in this study is a literature review, analyzing various scientific articles published in the last five years (2020 – 2025). Data was obtained from various national and international journals discussing educational research, learning innovation, and the use of technology in education.. The results of the study indicate that educational research plays a strategic role in identifying learning problems, developing innovative learning models, improving teacher competence, and supporting data driven educational policymaking. Educational research also contributes to curriculum development and the integration of technology into the learning process.

Abstract

Scientific publication is an essential part of academic activities as it serves as a medium for disseminating research findings to a broader scientific community. In Indonesia, the quality of scientific journals is assessed, among others, through the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) system managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Journals ranked in SINTA 2 are categorized as reputable national journals with relatively strict selection standards. Therefore, authors need to understand effective scientific writing techniques to increase their chances of being published in such journals. This article aims to examine various strategies for writing scientific articles that are effective and aligned with the standards of reputable journal publications. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various research methodology books and relevant scientific journal articles. The results of the study indicate that the success of scientific publication is influenced by several important factors, including the selection of relevant research topics, the use of up-to-date scientific references, the organization of a systematic article structure, and the author’s ability to demonstrate research novelty. In addition, understanding journal writing guidelines and academic ethics is also a crucial factor in the publication process. By understanding these strategies, authors are expected to be able to produce high-quality scientific articles with a greater chance of being accepted in SINTA 2 indexed journals.

Abstract

Writing scientific articles is one of the important skills in the academic world because it plays a role in disseminating research results and improving the quality of academic publications. However, many researchers, especially students, still have difficulty in compiling the results of the research in a systematic and clear manner. This study aims to analyze the strategy of writing research results in effective scientific articles to improve the quality of academic publications. This research uses a qualitative approach with the library research method. Research data was obtained from various scientific literature in the form of national and international journals relevant to research topics in the 2023–2025 range. The data collection technique is carried out through documentation studies, while the data analysis technique uses content analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that effective strategies for writing research results in scientific articles include presenting objective, systematic, and clear data; the use of writing structures that are in line with the IMRAD model; as well as integration between data presentation, interpretation of results, and discussion of theory. In addition, the use of tables, graphs, and diagrams can also help clarify research findings so that it is easier for readers to understand the results of the research. Thus, the application of the right research writing strategy can improve the quality of scientific articles and increase the chances of publication in academic journals.

Abstract

The quality of scientific research results is highly determined by the accuracy of data collection techniques and the reliability of the instruments used. This study aims to synthesize and comprehensively examine various data collection techniques in quantitative and qualitative approaches, instrument development procedures, and data quality testing mechanisms through validity, reliability, and validity checks of data. The method used in this study is a library research by analyzing 16 scientific documents consisting of methodological textbooks and accredited national journals. The results of the study show that in the quantitative approach, data collection is dominated by the use of structured instruments such as tests and questionnaires that must meet the criteria of content validity, construct, and reliability through Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Meanwhile, the qualitative approach emphasizes the researcher as a key instrument with in-depth interview, observation, and documentation techniques that are strengthened through triangulation strategies to ensure the credibility of the data. The research findings confirm that the research instrument is not static; Changes in social and cultural contexts require researchers to retest to ensure the accuracy of the data. In addition, in educational research, the analysis of the characteristics of question items such as the level of difficulty and differentiating power is crucial in producing quality evaluation instruments. This study concludes that the integration between relevant data collection techniques and validated instruments is an absolute requirement to produce credible, objective, and academically accountable research findings. This article is expected to be a methodological guide for researchers and education practitioners in compiling effective research instruments.

Abstract

Conclusions and suggestions are an important part of scientific articles that serve as an affirmation of research results as well as recommendations for further research. However, many authors are still less than optimal in compiling these two parts, thus reducing the quality of academic publications. This article aims to examine effective strategies in writing conclusions and suggestions to be more systematic, clear, and impactful. The method used is a literature study of various scientific writing guidelines and indexed articles. The results of the study show that the conclusions must be concise, based on findings, and answer the research objectives, while the suggestions must be specific, applicable, and relevant to the research results. The implementation of the right strategy can increase the credibility and competitiveness of academic publications.
