Abstract

This community service activity aims to train students' energy literacy through training in the creation of simple STEM-based renewable energy learning media at SMP Negeri 5Indralaya Utara. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) involving 25 eighth-grade students. The stages of the activity included a preliminary survey, presentation of renewable energy and STEM material, discussion, practice in making simple renewable energy media, group presentations, pre-test, and post-tests of energy literacy. The instruments used were multiple-choice tests and observation sheets of student activities. The results of the analysis showed an average N-Gain value of 0.71 in the high category, indicating that the training was effective in improving students' energy literacy. In addition, the activity developed students' collaboration, communication, creativity, and problem-solving skills through project activities and group presentations.

Abstract

Technological literacy has become one of the essential competencies for university students in the digital era, particularly in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on quality education. This study aims to analyze the technological literacy profile of physics education students at Universitas Sriwijaya in utilizing digital devices and applications for learning purposes. Data were collected through interviews with 30 respondents. The dimensions in the interview instrument included technology access, technology understanding, and technology production. The data were analyzed qualitatively using coding analysis with the Quirkos application. The findings reveal that students predominantly rely on smartphones and laptops to support learning activities, although unstable network quality remains a significant obstacle. Students’ experiences in utilizing digital learning media and accessing scientific journals are still relatively limited. Various digital applications, such as Google Drive, PhET Colorado, Microsoft Word, Canva, and CapCut, are commonly used to facilitate learning. Technological literacy is supported by the availability of internet access, conducive learning environments, and campus facility support, yet it is hindered by limited technological understanding, data security risks, network instability, and the persistence of plagiarism practices. The findings imply that enhancing technological literacy is crucial for preparing students to engage in innovative and ethical digital learning environments. Therefore, universities should integrate digital literacy programs through educational technology training, project-based learning, and the habituation of digital ethics to foster adaptive and sustainable physics learning

Abstract

Objective:  This study aims to analyze the research trends, characteristics, and development patterns of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics integrated with the Engineering Design Process (STEM-EDP) in Science Education from 2016 to 2025. Method : A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) combined with bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer. A total of 101 articles indexed in the Springer database were selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis focused on annual publication trends, keyword frequency, research methods, authorship patterns, geographical distribution, citation rankings, and journal productivity. Results : The findings indicate a consistent upward trend in STEM-EDP publications, with a projected peak in 2025. Qualitative research methods dominate the field (80.19%), reflecting the exploratory nature of STEM-EDP studies. Single-authored publications are most common, while the Americas—particularly the United States—contribute the highest number of publications. The most cited authors are Kelly C. Margot and Todd Kettler (179 citations). The International Journal of Technology and Design Education is identified as the most productive journal. Keyword mapping reveals that STEM-EDP remains in an emerging research cluster, frequently associated with project-based learning and creative thinking. Novelty : This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric mapping specifically focused on STEM-EDP within Science Education using the Springer database for the 2016–2025 period. Unlike previous reviews that examined general STEM research, this study highlights the distinct integration of the Engineering Design Process and identifies emerging thematic directions and methodological gaps for future research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Moodle Edukati berbantuan PhET Colorado melalui penerapan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) pada pembelajaran fisika, khususnya materi Perubahan Bentuk Energi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi model ASSURE (Analize learners; state objectives; select methods, media, and materials; utilize media and materials; require learner participation; evaluate and revise).
