Abstract

In the rapidly evolving landscape of global e-commerce, businesses are compelled to undergo digital transformations to remain competitive. This study delves into the digital business transformation journey of Shopee, a prominent player in the e-commerce realm, focusing on its integrated strategy amidst the global market. Despite extensive research on digital marketing, there remains a gap in comprehending how digital marketing strategies, customer experience, technological innovation, and digital marketing engagement synergize within the context of Shopee’s digital ecosystem. This study aims to address this gap by analyzing the interplay between these variables and their impact on digital marketing engagement. Employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS version 4, the research scrutinizes key variables, namely Digital Marketing Strategies, Customer Experience, Technological Innovation, and Digital Marketing Engagement. The analysis is supported by insights synthesized from academic literature, industry reports, and empirical data. The findings provide valuable insights into how the integration of digital marketing strategies, technological innovation, and customer experience contributes to strengthening digital marketing engagement within Shopee’s platform. This study offers important implications for practitioners and scholars navigating the complexities of digital business transformation. However, while acknowledging the significance of these findings, it is important to note the study’s limitations, including sample size and potential biases inherent in self-reported data. Nevertheless, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on digital marketing strategies by offering a nuanced understanding of the multifaceted dynamics shaping the global e-commerce landscape.

Abstract

This study examines blockchain technology as an enabling infrastructure for consumer centric data governance through the conceptual lens of the sovereign consumer. Departing from platform centric models that frame data privacy primarily as a regulatory compliance or technical security issue, this paper positions consumer sovereignty as both a governance principle and an operational capability. Using a qualitative and analytical research design, the study synthesizes insights from consumer sovereignty theory, digital governance literature, and decentralized systems research to conceptualize how blockchain characteristics namely decentralization, immutability, transparency, cryptography, and smart contracts can be mapped onto core data governance functions. The analysis demonstrates that blockchain has the potential to transform data ownership from a passive legal status into an enforceable and programmable right, allowing individuals to dynamically grant, monitor, and revoke consent over personal data usage. Rather than relying on absolute data concealment, privacy is operationalized through controlled transparency supported by cryptographic safeguards and hybrid on chain and off chain architectures. This governance oriented framework emphasizes accountability, auditability, and user authority without compromising regulatory alignment. Although the proposed framework remains conceptual and does not involve empirical implementation, it provides a structured analytical contribution relevant to AI driven digital ecosystems and sustainable digital development. In particular, the study aligns consumer centric data sovereignty with Sustainable Development Goals SDG 9, SDG 12, and SDG 16 by supporting resilient digital infrastructure, responsible data usage, and transparent governance mechanisms. The findings offer implications for policymakers, platform designers, and organizations seeking privacy oriented digital governance models grounded in consumer empowerment.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of digital skill competencies into vocational education curricula as a strategic response to rapid technological development and increasing automation across industrial sectors. Vocational institutions are expected to equip learners with the digital capabilities necessary to remain competitive in a shifting labor market. However, many existing curricula still lack structured and industry-aligned digital components, creating a gap between educational outputs and workforce demands. To address this issue, the research employs a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of digital skill integration. A total of 120 respondents, consisting of vocational students, teachers, and industry partners, participated in a structured questionnaire designed to assess current digital competencies, curriculum adequacy, and perceived readiness for automated work environments. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with selected educators and industry stakeholders to gain deeper insights into curriculum reform needs and emerging digital skill requirements. The findings indicate that while vocational institutions have initiated the adoption of digital learning tools, the integration of advanced competencies such as data literacy, digital collaboration, and automation-related technical skills remains limited and inconsistent. Respondents highlighted the need for curriculum redesign that incorporates practical, industry-responsive digital modules supported by continuous professional development for teachers. This study contributes a framework for enhancing digital competency integration within vocational education, ultimately aiming to strengthen workforce readiness and ensure graduates can effectively adapt to the evolving demands of the automation era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of accelerated development of digital technology that has fundamentally transformed consumer behavior and the competitive landscape of marketing strategies in the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry, especially in the rice bowl startup business model that has a very high dependence on the digital platform ecosystem. The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the influence of digital marketing strategies through the AISAS (Attention, Interest, Search, Action, Share) model framework on consumer purchasing decisions in the digital era. The method used is an explanatory quantitative approach by collecting data through distributing questionnaires to 133 respondents who have experience consuming rice bowl products, then analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM) technique through Smart PLS software. The results of the study revealed that the AISAS model has a very significant and strong influence on purchasing decisions with an R² value of 0.978, which means that 97.8% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be accurately explained by these variables. Partially, the Attention variable emerged as the most dominant factor, followed by Interest and Search, while the Share variable showed a negative relationship of -0.169, indicating that content sharing behavior does not automatically drive an increase in direct purchasing decisions. In conclusion, strengthening visual appeal and easy access to information are the main keys to marketing success, although social engagement or experience sharing strategies still require in-depth evaluation to improve their effectiveness.
