Abstract

In reading learning, it is shown that there are various difficulties experienced by grade I students of SDN Karangtengah Prandon2 Ngawi in reading, including inability to recognize letters, the absence or replacement of letters when reading, difficulties in reading word by word, and difficulties in distinguishing vowels and consonants. In addition, students also experience obstacles in combining letters and syllables into whole words, and pay less attention to the use of punctuation. These difficulty factors include low interest in learning to read, lack of motivation when participating in reading activities, The type of research used is using a quantitative approach with the Pre-Experimental Design type. The researcher used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design to be carried out in one class without a comparison class using a pretest before being given treatment. With that, the results of the treatment can be known more accurately, because it can be compared with the situation before being given treatment. The results of this study are that there is a significant influence of the use of Letter Puzzle media on the reading ability of grade I students of SDN Karangtengah Prandon 2 Ngawi.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) education at the elementary school level has an important role as a means for students to get to know themselves, understand the surrounding environment, and apply the knowledge gained in daily life. The lack of variety in the learning process can result in students having difficulty understanding the material being taught. The use of conventional methods such as lectures is one of the main causes. The type of research used is using a quantitative approach with the Pre-Experimental Design type. The researcher used the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design to be carried out in one class without a comparison class using a pretest before being given treatment. With that, the results of the treatment can be known more accurately, because it can be compared with the situation before being given treatment. The results of this study are that there is a significant influence of the use of Pop Up Book media on the reading ability of 4th grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kedunggalar

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using flip book learning media on the learning outcomes of science and natural sciences on the water cycle material for fifth grade students of MIN 2 Ngawi. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes of students, most of whom have not reached the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP), as well as learning that tends to be monotonous and does not involve interesting learning media. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 54 students of grades V A and V B of MIN 2 Ngawi, who were selected using saturated sampling techniques. Data collection techniques were carried out through objective tests in the form of multiple choice questions given before and after the application of flip book learning media. The results of data analysis using the independent sample t test showed that there was a significant influence between the learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that flip book learning media has a positive and significant influence on improving student learning outcomes in science and natural sciences learning on the water cycle material. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of the use of digital flip book media on the learning outcomes of science and natural sciences on the water cycle material for fifth grade students of MIN 2 Ngawi. This is demonstrated by the higher posttest scores in the experimental class compared to the control class. The use of digital flipbooks can increase student engagement and motivation, and help students understand the concept of the water cycle more easily through engaging and interactive presentations. Therefore, flipbooks are a viable alternative for learning.
